scubarulz .. I agree that the version of Sara Smile on the 'Livetime' album is probably the best ever and the Musikladen version from the early days. Daryl has sung this so often that sometimes he looks to be just going through the motions (excuse the pun) but in this one he looks like he's really enjoying himself, he's such a fantastic performer anyway that I never tire of watching & listening to him, in fact if I spent all day every day listening it still wouldn't be long enough thank u Daryl.

What i've always loved these guys for is that they surround themselves with excellent band members to complement their music. Current crew on LFDH( really sad to know Tom "T-Bone" Wolk has passed, hope he was saved) is just great. Keep putting out great music, guys!!! The epitome of Philly blue-eyed soul!!!!!

@queenrat You may be right, although I think the 7 minute version off of Livetime(only limited release in '78... not sure why...I had to update my copy with a Jap. import mini-CD a few yrs. back)comes close to this. Performed 14 years before this one, it's very passionate. Back then their backing band were former Elton John studio musicians Caleb Quaye(now a Christian guitarist), Kenny Passarelli on bass (RIP T-Bone Wolk), and Roger Pope on drums. Whether in Hershey,Pa. or Tokyo, they rocked!!

Lesli, I am a Daryl Hall addict. I am off work this summer and just happened upon LFDH. Now at night when I can't sleep I watch these fabulous videos. My husband thinks I am insane, although he loves this stuff too. Just doesn't have as much time as I do..haha...keep in touch. Just listened to Daryl's Me and Mrs. Jones...Jeezuz...haha
