Fuck Palestine, fuck this congress, and fuck this bailout program. What we really need is a revolution. Hopefully next election. P.S. Nancy is a cunt.
Private companies that received bail out loans from the government should all implement a salary cap of $400,000.00. In other words, they should not pay their employees anything above $400,000.00. Untill, that it is, they decide to pay the tax payers back with interest. The restructuring of their salaries will allow for more profitability on their part and more accountability on ours.

I'd like to see that 401k priced in ounces of gold 2 years down the line if the bailout passed, the turmoil started about a year ago, and if I look at the dow chart I'll see a pretty little upward trend before that, but if you price the dow in gold starting from 2000 it has been crashing that entire time, so I'm considering putting money in the market right now, but most likely it is going to be an ETF gold fund...
It failed because Barney Frank , Pelosi, Emmanuel politicized things from the beginning to protect Obama by saying there was a DEAL when there wasnt ,as soon as McCain came to Washington.
They didnt allow the house to vet out things, leaving the House Replubicans out made them loose votes.
And the appauling thing is Nancy Pelosi allowed 90 democrats to not vote for a bill when they are in the majority.
Barney Frank, Cleyborn et al in 2004 blocked and mocked oversite of fannie mae/freddie mack
ahahaha!wow who wolud have had thought there were still members of congress with guts!! :D Im proud of the these guys who finally after 8years got fed up and fought back against this adminstration.
RUSH: a rookie senator,"the markets and the world need to see that our government's come together to do the right thing"? So the world is waiting to see what the House Republicans do? This is the pressure that they're trying to bring to bear..."God bless the House Republicans." What if the House Republican plan is better? ...a question that no pundit raises.", House Republicans don't cave- there is too much at stake...
Naw this is just bullshit before an electon. This SOB has voted yes to every other criminal act by this administration and belongs in shackles right next to all the rest!
No, this country was based on the idea of god, as proposed by a book written by some really old men. Don't fool yourself into thinking either party in a Bipartisan system is innocent... It is the people that make up the parties that make the differences, not the parties as a whole.
McCotter ought to know that not one policy from Bush was right and he supported them. Why the turn around--cause Bush is finished and along with most of the vermin Repigs. This is grandstanding for re-election folks. however, I agree that Wall streets needs a good kick in the groan--let them suffer. Problem is that they are all filthy, greedy Joos and the demoos know it.That is why Obama wants the bailout.I hope Americatanks-it deserves it--too FKN stupid to know that nuked on 911 attacks :^)
In this bailout, McCotter correctly likens the top Republicans to Mao and Stalin. Sadly, he misses that this can be applied to a much broader swath of Republican activities over the last eight years. After all, an apple doesn't just happen to fall from an orange tree. As to your question, will McCotter stand behind his strong words? Unfortunately, this is largely election-tine posturing to distinguish McCain from Cheney.
This young man knows his stuff. Mao and Stalin killed millions to get what the Bush criminals are trying to swindle the American sheeple for. Arrest and hang them from swine hooks with piano wire (after a fair trial of course)then put men like McCotter in charge.
Those auto industry loans for $25 billion are in the same category. If they get them nothing will change. We the taxpayer are being fleeced because Bill Ford is a fuck up and can't manage a company. Why do we have to pay Bill Ford out of our taxes? Let him go to business school or get out of the job...
And Nobama was THEIR ATTORNEY...This so-called 700 Billion bail out the Dems are trying to cram down our throats has 20 million in pork for Acorn..yup you read right..the DEMS are adding insult to injury and their precious ho they call Nancy Pelosi is sticking in more for a so-called Stimulus package for her poor people!!..Wealth Distribution AND Corruption!!..Wake up America..McCain/Palin '08 Not Marxism
Proposed by Bush's Treasury Secretary and his Fed Chair. The main GOP objection? The US would not be giving free money to banks, but would get warrants.
From what I've read of the Republican plan, it's as retarded as the Democrat's plan, if not more so.
Nevertheless, I'm glad to see any kind of stall in this process, regardless of where it comes from.
If congress can't come up with a deliberate, reasoned and rational plan - which takes TIME - then we have no reason to believe that INACTION is any worse than their shot-in-the-dark "rescue" plans.
t4705mb6, thx for the input. However, I agree that, as usual, it's Windfall Time for the wealthy, if addlepated few who gambled and lost. And, as usual, it's the fast-disappearing middle class that is forced to clean up the mess. I just hope that they don't forget what happened shortly after Marie Antoinette advised the starving to "eat cake"...
Did you know that the US government could have reorganized the home loans in default under LAW?
They could have taken all the default loans, set a FIXED 4% interest rate and reset time paybacks in 2 1/2 year increments up to 30 years and returned the banks to TOTAL solvency... OVERNIGHT!!
This trillion dollar "bailout" is to save the RICH so that THEY can keep their limos, mansions, castles and so they can continue to play golf and polo while keeping one foot on YOUR neck!!!
The easiest way today would be for Bush to create a "signing statement" using the broad powers of the Patriot Act, saying that it was a "National Security" issue (which he practically DID say in his speech).
It will never happen. Congress has been bribed. This is a windfall for the wealthy investors and a shackle for us and our children. Bush has a bill that comes due on the 30th and hes desparate.
I can't believe some of these posts blaming Republicans for deregulation!
"Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac used the implied backing of the government to grow so large that their takeover by the government effectively doubled the national debt!!! And they were pushed by their executives and the Clinton Administration to loosen their lending standards and write the loans that drove the companies to the point of being bailed out by the taxpayers."
These stupid Republicans and their obsession with deregulation has created this mess..Conservatism is a complete fraud and it always has been.. Where's Phil Gramm now, why isn't he contributing his great expertise..? Keep voting Republican folks..! Maybe they can bring down all of Western Civilization..!
The Dems overregulation caused it. Forcing banks to make loans, by LAW to people who couldn't afford them and telling them that Freddie and Fannie would carry them.
Well yes in America and Britain that sounds like a GOOD plan, eh. After all we can ALL moan about it and pretend we are making a difference :)
After all I don't want to look silly by standing up and shouting out MY FUCKING RIGHTS. Which are being taken from me one by one until all's I have is my little boxy house which no longer belongs to me because I CAN'T AFFORD IT!
Wake up, Money = DEBT, it really is that simple. Money = BIG FU****** TROUBLE. We are advanced enough to DO AWAY with money
I am sitting here wondering when someone will simplify this for the masses. Let me do it for you, eh ^.^
Basically you all funded an illegal organisation who slowly, but surely wormed thier way into your economy (self profiteering worms who want nothing else but PURE CONTROL). And now that they have fucked up and given more money expecting to get big ol profits in return, it didn't happen as the house prices crashed as did loans. NOW they are trying to get YOU to pay THEM for THEIR failures.
Do you think they can write a proposal, with-out the Protectionist clauses like, "Our WORD is final or Without Review" that provide shelter for even more criminality, as they choose winners & losers? Do you think there will be language baring FBI/SEC. investigations, courts of code or any Sunshine looking into the matter?
Now they close ranks to protect their Masters, as McBoma merge together to form Bush 3.0 Are Americans so blinded by Party Politics they don't see this joint ass rape?
Deregulation only causes problems when it isn't done completely. Government intervention in the economy is what causes garbage like this. We need a truly free market, which actually means complete deregulation.
You know another good way to hundred of billions of dollars back into our economy? Bring all the troops home. Yes, bring them back from all 700+ bases around the world. We are a Republic, not an empire, or the police of the world. McCain uses the slogan, "country first," but do they really mean that? NO. Obama says, "real change," but does he really mean it? No. We will fall just like the Roman empire if we are not careful. We need real leaders like Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin. the constitution!
Thank you. I'm not a Republican, but it's moments like this I feel we have some hope.
Don't let the Executive Branch push it's fear tactics, the bailout is BAD. It's either the banks or our dollar people, we can't save both! And if anyone thinks that there is a quick and easy fix to all of this, time to face reality, because there isn't.
Good speech! I look forward to it getting backed up or folks are going to be coming home from their cushy Government jobs.
Call, write, email and, visit your Congressmen and Senators and let them know your feelings on this issue.
Study the laws that allowed this to happen(Gramm-Leech-Bliley act) and the laws that were repealed (Glass Stegall act) that put us into the mess we're in now.
Show these people we're not ignorant and that we know our history and refuse to repeat it.
Bravo!!! That's right, McCotter, the market didn't fail -- the anti-market forces (such as Herr Bush) are trying to blame the market for the fallout from their own follies.
BTW, if anybody still wants to blame the market, just remember: the market = *you*. Remember that every time you hear some twit in a nice suit tell you not to trust "the free market". Think about it.
It is important to act very soon on the current financial crisis. Why not institute the insurance plan advocated by House Republicans, along with buying some significant percentage of bad assets as advocated by the Paulson Plan (with a formal bipartisan congressional oversight panel)?
Bundle those two things together, along with a taxpayer stake in the profits of the companies whose bad assets are bought and an end to oversized compensation packages for CEO's of those companies, and its a deal.
Stop trying to create panic. There is no need to bow to Wall St and White House demands. Reforms must be put in place before any other options can even be considered. There is plenty of money to buy these loans as Warren Buffet has already proved. We allowed the BAILOUT of Fannie and Freddie almost overnight and we are no better off for it. If we keep this up no American will be able to buy food or gas without a wheel barrel full of worthless dollars. Let the free market work.
What degree of cataclysmic economic implosion due you feel that millions of Americans should endure en route to the end of the inestimably slow, sputtering, financially devastating process that you advocate?
You crack me up with the "cataclysmic economic implosion".
So if we don't buy these bad loans banks will fail right? Then when those banks fail other banks will want to move in to those markets to reap the enormous potential profits. It's called the free market and we should let it work the way it is supposed to and not bailout those that made poor decisions because if we do they will be more likely to do it again in the future. So yeah I advocate a FREE market and not a SOCIALISTIC market.
The proposals are only a crutch. It won't work! The market will correct itself. The Feds are just creating more debt that will slow the inevitable. The market correcting itself would be short and swift, proably about a year. Did we not learn anything from history? The same thing happened during the Great Depression. The Feds propped it up for about a decade and it didn't work. The market corrected itself in a year. Lets see 1 yr, or, 10? The Feds are crooks who can not to be trusted
These fucks were pulling the same political posturing during the FISA fiasco and they all ended up caving to Bushys whimsy. I am sure this will be no different.
These pig fuckers all have millions if not hundreds of millions tied up in Wall Street that they are not willing to lose. Who do they think they are fooling?
a large number of "sovereign" americans sadly! most of which haven't a clue we are getting raped once again! funny we "sovereign americans" have the power to abolish goverment, and yet people think that there is nothing "we" can do, OH WELL! well when "we" can't afford to live anymore, fuckin football and reality tv aswell as all things without any real fuckin' value to the human race! won't mean a thing, then the masses will finally rise up and smash these PIG FUCKERs and the like! peace/love
If the republicans stop this bailout, I may just vote republican this year (never have). I wish this was my congressman.
Please call congress today. The toll free phone numbers are on my channel page, left hand side.
Paulson and Bernanke should be fired. Pelosi should stop kissing up to Bush. She makes me sick. Bush should be impeached. Enough is enough already. Wake up people - this is financial terrorism!!!!!!!!

Problem is that they are all filthy, greedy Joos and the demoos know it.That is why Obama wants the bailout.I hope Americatanks-it deserves it--too FKN stupid to know that nuked on 911 attacks :^)
geo1671 3 years ago
In this bailout, McCotter correctly likens the top Republicans to Mao and Stalin. Sadly, he misses that this can be applied to a much broader swath of Republican activities over the last eight years. After all, an apple doesn't just happen to fall from an orange tree. As to your question, will McCotter stand behind his strong words? Unfortunately, this is largely election-tine posturing to distinguish McCain from Cheney.

What the Federal Reserve does not want you to know about is 'Executive Order 11110'.
Please Google: Executive Order 11110 JFK
Following in the footsteps of Lincoln & Jackson, JFK tried to eliminate the Federal Reserve.
We are in debt because we borrow money from private banks, who create money out of thin air.
Why does a nation borrow money when all we have to do is create it, like the banks do?

Those auto industry loans for $25 billion are in the same category. If they get them nothing will change. We the taxpayer are being fleeced because Bill Ford is a fuck up and can't manage a company. Proposed by Bush's Treasury Secretary and his Fed Chair. The main GOP objection? The US would not be giving free money to banks, but would get warrants.
You're a fraud.
AnonymousBChurch 3 years ago
From what I've read of the Republican plan, it's as retarded as the Democrat's plan, if not more so.
Nevertheless, I'm glad to see any kind of stall in this process, regardless of where it comes from.
If congress can't come up with a deliberate, reasoned and rational plan - which takes TIME - then we have no reason to believe that INACTION is any worse than their shot-in-the-dark "rescue" plans.

Did you know that the US government could have reorganized the home loans in default under LAW?
They could have taken all the default loans, set a FIXED 4% interest rate and reset time paybacks in 2 1/2 year increments up to 30 years and returned the banks to TOTAL solvency... OVERNIGHT!!
This trillion dollar "bailout" is to save the RICH so that THEY can keep their limos, mansions, castles and so they can continue to play golf and polo while keeping one foot on YOUR neck!!!
t4705mb6 3 years ago 2
Thanks for this--can you provide documentation?
Flyboysdaughter 3 years ago
There are MANY ways that this could be done.
Bush has a bill that comes due on the 30th and hes desparate.
t4705mb6 3 years ago
Wow! Great Speech!!!!!
I can't believe some of these posts blaming Republicans for deregulation!
"Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac used the implied backing of the government to grow so large that their takeover by the government effectively doubled the national debt!!! And they were pushed by their executives and the Clinton Administration to loosen their lending standards and write the loans that drove the companies to the point of being bailed out by the taxpayers."

joneselius 3 years ago
I am sitting here wondering when someone will simplify this for the masses. Let me do it for you, eh ^.^
Basically you all funded an illegal organisation who slowly, but surely wormed thier way into your economy (self profiteering worms who want nothing else but PURE CONTROL). And now that they have fucked up and given more money expecting to get big ol profits in return, it didn't happen as the house prices crashed as did loans. NOW they are trying to get YOU to pay THEM for THEIR failures.
joneselius 3 years ago 2

We need a truly free market, which actually means complete deregulation.
henry770 3 years ago
You know another good way to hundred of billions of dollars back into our economy? Bring all the troops home. Yes, bring them back from all 700+ bases around the world. We are a Republic, not an empire, or the police of the world. McCain uses the slogan, "country first," but do they really mean that? NO. Obama says, "real change," but does he really mean it? No. We will fall just like the Roman empire if we are not careful. We need real leaders like Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin. the constitution!
kiro30 3 years ago 4

Show these people we're not ignorant and that we know our history and refuse to repeat it.
NO BAILOUT!
1BuckeyeNation 3 years ago
ProspectorSam 3 years ago
It is important to act very soon on the current financial crisis. Why not institute the insurance plan advocated by House Republicans, along with buying some significant percentage of bad assets as advocated by the Paulson Plan (with a formal bipartisan congressional oversight panel)?
Bundle those two things together, along with a taxpayer stake in the profits of the companies whose bad assets are bought and an end to oversized compensation packages for CEO's of those companies, and its a deal.
OmniNorth 3 years ago
Stop trying to create panic. There is no need to bow to Wall St and White House demands. Reforms must be put in place before any other options can even be considered. There is plenty of money to buy these loans as Warren Buffet has already proved. We allowed the BAILOUT of Fannie and Freddie almost overnight and we are no better off for it. If we keep this up no American will be able to buy food or gas without a wheel barrel full of worthless dollars. Let the free market work.
1BuckeyeNation 3 years ago
What degree of cataclysmic economic implosion due you feel that millions of Americans should endure en route to the end of the inestimably slow, sputtering, financially devastating process that you advocate?
OmniNorth 3 years ago
You crack me up with the "cataclysmic economic implosion".
So if we don't buy these bad loans banks will fail right? Then when those banks fail other banks will want to move in to those markets to reap the enormous potential profits. It's called the free market and we should let it work the way it is supposed to and not bailout those that made poor decisions because if we do they will be more likely to do it again in the future. So yeah I advocate a FREE market and not a SOCIALISTIC market.
1BuckeyeNation 3 years ago 3
With regulation of course. Because deregulation is what caused this problem.
1BuckeyeNation 3 years ago
The proposals are only a crutch. It won't work! The market will correct itself. The Feds are just creating more debt that will slow the inevitable. The market correcting itself would be short and swift, proably about a year. Did we not learn anything from history? The same thing happened during the Great Depression. The Feds propped it up for about a decade and it didn't work. The market corrected itself in a year. Lets see 1 yr, or, 10? The Feds are crooks who can not to be trusted
