You know,you like torturing the bosses so they can't even go after you.For me,it's more fun for my friend and me to wander around,placing bombs,trying to dodge hits.This fun is increased especially when my friend keeps dying when we fight the clown head,due to the blasts given off after a hit.

I always used the infinite explosion trick on the Golden Bomberman.

(When you respawn,you have a shield.Place a bomb,and once it goes off,constantly place bombs in the blast zone before the blast goes away,to get infinite explosions.Just make sure to watch your shield,as you may accidentily kill yourself.)

Notice how the clown and the scientist guy both have that creepy thing they do with their eyebrows. That was ingrained in my head as a kid as it took me several tries to beat these things.

The secret is something that I call "walking". It's based on not stopping plus not connecting bombs. Looks a bit crazy but fun lol.

Without kick power and timed bombs it's quite harder. (Not too much though! ;))

The bomberman trick where you take advantage of your invincibility in the beginning isn't really cheating. It's only cheating if you mess with the game's code.

This is because the way Super Bomberman 2 was different from the other Super Bomberman games. For example the scrolling, the other door, the switches and some puzzles.

Hmmm...Because in Bomberman Land Touch!, he mentions that he'd never thought of becoming a human cannonball, and also some human body functions were mentioned as well (sweating, adrenaline, etc). Maybe Hudson Soft wasn't sure of his being at the time.
