That was the cleanest piccolo solo I have ever heard played for this song! Even the trills were clear and the solo never sounded rushed, nor slurred! Awesome!

Does the Marine Band have a "full orchestra" like the other branches or are they strictly marching band?

@david640 The Marine Band includes a "chamber orchestra" of about 18 string players. Most of their performances are at the White House. Go to the Marine Band website for more information.

@YouMooks November 6 is Sousa's birthday. The band played three marches plus the National Anthem. Their portion of the event lasted about 30 minutes. Check the band's website for exact times, etc.
