Is this guy afraid to attack people? In my Prussia camapaign (with difficulty on VH/VH), I own Rhineland, Hannover, Saxony, Silesia, and West Prussia in addition to my starting territories, with alliances with Courland and Poland to secure my eastern borders and allow for more troops to be deployed against France, Wurttemburg, and Bavaria - a war which I am winning (in my opinion).

Oh, and the year is 1706.

i dont know how youre doing it. When I play with prussia and attack saxony, poland always declares me the war. 2 rounds later austria starts to fight me with bavaria and württemberg. youre strategy is leading to a world war (with the experience I made) that you cant win

@Rycoxis Yes, you can win it by focusing on one enemy at a time, and making sure you win every battle in the process. Losing one or more battles foils the strategy and then it's over.

Ironically, I prefer the Blitzkrieg strategy. I send my field armies with cavalry and line infantry to destroy the enemy armies, and send my assault force, comprised of mostly artillery and some infantry, to deal with enemy cities and fortifications once their armies are out of the way.

It's a difficult campaign, if you don't secure at least one flank. I formed an alliance with Poland and Russia to secure the eastern border and then fought a series of small wars with limited spoils, but also with limited losses against Austria and Denmark. I now control Western Europe, Scandinavia, half of northern Africa and the southern half of the Americas. Only four real powers left; Russia, Poland, India and me.

in my campaighn i took the region from the polish and set about taking over all the lesser german states. i took the 2 northern austrian states then made peace and took the rest of the german ones. then i realised i could conqure austria. their main body of troops were on vienna,take that and budapest and the empire has fallen, only croatia and TRANSILVANIA will be left. after that its on to the italian states while holding off the polish and use the sutch as a buffer state against the french.

On my Prussian campaign, I started off failing pretty badly economically and diplomatically, and I'm currently paying for it. Haha Sweden has this enormous navy that is destroying me, every nation except for the Native Americans and the Mughals hate me, and my economy is in the toilet because I have a lot of huge armies. I'm destroying everything on land though :)

prussia is easy IF you attack early if you wait to long all the smaller countries to the left of berlin will get big armys an keep harrasing ur farms and mines and its hard to get allies with prussia cause your prestige is pretty low untill you start attacking people. and for some reason my allies dont attack on land only navy which isent very helpfull in a 4 front war.

At the moment I'm playing a Prussia campaign on Hard/Medium and I've taken all the European territories required. At the moment I'm at war with Spain, France, Sweden, Iroquois, Cherokee, Huron-Wyandot and the Ottoman Empire. I have Hungary as a protectorate, and they are raping the Ottomans, along with their Russian allies. My British and Dutch allies are keeping the French and Spanish fleets busy, and my armies are marching all over North America and Sweden, and dominating. Good times.

I absolutly didnt do that with Prussia. You lost too much time waiting. You should have rushed Courland and Saxony then you bring your two armies in the borders of poland and you take the four cities in 4 turns. You sign peace wth every faction you ve been in war because of alliances. You wait just 2 turns, the time to restore armies and then you rush austria. And you continue by rushing BAvaria, Hannover, Netherlands, Danemark. 25 turns and its over! And it was in Very hard campain.

bit boring since there's no one talking. i love playing prussia every time i play this game. i sell east prussia to austria for 10k then attack there allys or sell it to poland for 6k then attack saxony. you need to do it on the 1st turn or they won't have any money for you but wait a turn before attacking so the towns become rich. with austria wait till you think your ready they attack you anyway.oh and i become a repubic :)

I'm playing a Prussian campaign too! I'm bout 30% Prussian myself, and I kinda wasnted to play them because they don't have to mess with trade as much as the other nations; I wanted to do a little Blitzkrieg before I went on to other nations :D

this guy's making a lot of bad moves.... always build trade ships, get trading partners, disband useless units at the beginning, and don't bother spending 5000 bean on government buildings that will take many years to pay themselves off. And don't research farming, especially since prussia has like 1 or 2 farms. Research military techs!!!

well i wouldnt disband the worthless units until you've trained more men, because if you get attacked early in the game then youll really need those men.

However, the best FACTION is probably Russia.

Not early on in the game. Russia is large and unwielding to play as unless your really good at Empire Total War. If you haven't been playing for that long I would reccomend either Britain or the United Provinces.

that depends on your style of play my friend. there is no "best" otherwise the game would be unbalanced. with a bit of work any faction can get on top :)

True, but in Britain's favor in the game, the AI are tards and don't really know how to invade islands, so London is safe from invasion and you can just rack up points.

This has changed dramatically with the new update. Islands are no longer safe. Venice sent an army up and around via ship and took Hanover from me....

when i played as Prussia i was top nation in game about 4000 prestiege ahead of the second most powerful nation.I held every region in Europe except for iceland.i did all this by year 1790.if yo want to know how just reply back it is very simple.i would be happy to tell

I played only once with Prussia and I got All Europe, India(except one region, I will explain later) and all of the Americas(only one land standing out and I was to lazy to attack). I quitted that campaign after 7 crashes while capturing that one region on India. I think that Prussians are very strong and that made me not getting a VERY big chalenge like I thought I would. Im playing as Austria now and my next campaign will be Russia. They seem hard enough.

theres a little mode called the Road to Independence, and if you beat that then you get to play as the United States from 1783 to 1812 I think and you have to capture 22 regions

I wouldn't say it's the easiest. It's one of the easier ones, but definitely not the easiest basically just because you're surrounded on almost all sides by possible enemies.

Instead of "fixing" you might want to think about a nice, fast, clean reinstall of the entire system. This would get the crap out of your registry and remove old drivers and stuff. Might help a bit with overall performance.

A CPU with many GHz is not always the faster than one with fewer but more efficient architecture. A 3 GHz Pentium 4 would get hosed by one core of a C2D 2.5 GHz and so on. So no, you can't /always/ say more is better, but it's the case most of the time.
