  • Well, you dont need a checkerboard platform, just do the water in a checkerboard style, that will work too without the dirt =)

  • @TheKyshu I'm aware. :) Just force of habit kind of thing, and didn't feel like going too indepth with the explanation of water physics so decided to keep it simple for people.

  • @AEtherimp Okay =D

  • This just gave me an idea... Buahahaha!

  • @MammothWooly Do share!

  • You don't need a checkerboard, just a diagonal line will work.

  • That looks amazing, can't wait to try it :)

  • Mobs always float now, :D underwater bases are safe until the new mob turns up!

  • that should be fun when notch brings in the water mob :D

  • Awesome video, I'm gonna try the underwater base next time I'm on SMP. It'll help keep my stuff from being stolen and/or destroyed.

  • wont monsters be able to go trough too?

  • @twosaibackbot Hypothetically, yes... But I have never seen mobs swim downward in order to get to you.. and you could always make a dark "airlock" or "saferoom" which separates this room from the rest of your base. There's also a neat parascope idea you can use... I won't post that though as the credit belongs to Etho.

  • could you upload that map? i would love it

  • At the sand part, you could've just used torches under the sand to break a whole tower at time, it's faster than just shoveling them all. ;)

  • @sakkebaa You can place torches underwater not? :D

Hello Imp, nice to see you again. Nice tutorial!

  • @nikkoresendiz No, I mean when he filled the insides of the chute to waterplace, he could've just dug down sand from 1 part to the bottom and torch-mined all the other towers of sand very quickly.

  • Nice , thanks alot.

    Also , why a zombie , and not a creeper :c

  • wats up with the fail render settings? :P

  • @mrLYLiX My apologies. Had to compile this video through Adobe Premier and apparently I didn't set up the compiling properly so I was left with the black box around the video. You get used to it after a moment but I can see why it would be annoying at first. :)
