I hear that c.c remove Suzaku's curse,that Lelouch cause, and give him a new geass power, and that is illusions, which fool people that is dead, yea, reason for that because they choose don't make Lelouch immortal, and remove C.c's, and their quest is see what else his father did, and see other "family" member for Lelouch, and his team need to defeat, and also other other who have power of geass, for example, their one of them can kill group of people with one look of showing geass.

Why do I think this is fake and edited? Because when the screen switches from C.C. to "Lelouch" the ending chord of the music should've sustained throughout, but it doesn't. Because him being alibe would suck and destroy everything the series represented. Its not simillar death note cause he dies thats not death note, that real life. The main character dying is not something that makes a series similar. I admit that it is a little like death note...but not really. Its just it being deep that makes you feel that way.

You say they just wanted the fan to have his own pinion about the ending. When the CREATORS state the person is dead after most theories pointing to the person being dead is really dead, that means that he is dead. A magazine is more reliable than a deleted scene considering this is most likely a what-if scene. It would suck if he is alive

Okay, to me, if Lelouch actually died at the end of Zero Requiem, that would be the best ending for him and for everyone else.
However, although that was my ideal ending, seeing this does indeed make me think that Lelouch is intended to have lived somehow to be with C.C., because that is certainly him. But,because he's still alive, he's going to have to live in seclusion with C.C. for the rest of their lives because the world still thinks he's dead and he needs to keep that up. Not a good ending
@GryffenPuff I know this is a late reply, but I just wanted to give my opinion that I think it's still a good ending, even if he's alive. Even if alive, he's still had great sacrifice, and left everyone to think he's dead. He'll have C.C. sure, if it's to be believed he's alive, however he's given up so much, just to make the world a better place. I think that's a fitting and good ending, if if he doesn't sacrifice absolutely everything for it.

I was recently watching Angel Beats! and that was the exact same symbol. This was air'd on Television. The fake one doesn't show him smiling, or even his eyes. It's just a scroll up seeing his mouth covered and his eye visible.

I directly watched the streamed version live, all the way back in September 2008, and no, there was no such thing when the episode aired. Keep in mind that I'm not arguing against the survival of Lelouch, that is very likely true, but only against fake evidence that only confuses people for no reason.

i am glad to know that the writers intended him to be alive. It would be nice to see a season 3 with Lelouch in it. However, the fact that they edited it so that the viewer could have their own opinion shows that they probably do not plan to make anymore with Lelouch. The new season releasing this year is, sadly, a side story. but who knows? maybe towards the end they will reveal more on the fate of Lelouch and hint towards a possible sequel to the series. One can only hope.

Also on another note there is no words to express my emotions for the ending of this spectacular anime. They had very exciting/realistic plots, just the right amount of characters and past experiences that were vital in not having loose ends. This anime by far was one of the greatest anime's I have every scene, it was emotional and intellectual. The ending was perfect and the animation was amazing along with the exciting fights/scenarios for each episode. This by far is rating: 10/10 I believe

Nope, the directors decided to cut this scene from ALL versions in the end, including subbed. Which is why it didn't appear in the eng sub version as well :) I don't know how animestation11 managed to get this video but let's just be glad that Lelouch is alive~ :D
I suspected that as well when watching though, but it said so in wiki as well... :/ and i heard that there'll be a 3rd season, without lelouch, even if there's another main chara, it just kinda doesn't make it 'code geass' anymore and i guess the producers are aware of that... i'm not too sure but still, i'm hoping this video is accurate...

Now I have concrete evidence to support my theory that Lelouch was alive. Though judging by the situation, the directors will probably not make another plot involving Lelouch. Lelouch would now probably be immortal and be in hiding since if the world knew, well i guess they would all be trying to kill him.
It is obvious that the driver has been edited in by the fact the background music cuts, and if you'd seen the original japanese dvd's/blurays you would realise this.

@allmyself666 Ok, soooooo there is not going to be an R3. The new code geass is an ova titled Code Geass Akito the Exiled. It takes place at the same time that the events of the original Code geass are occurring. None of the original cast is in it there is an entirely new cast because it takes place in europe. Look up the trailer, it came out like a day ago. And u can check code geass wiki too.

Okay, to me, if Lelouch actually died at the end of Zero Requiem, that would be the best ending for him and for everyone else.
However, although that was my ideal ending, seeing this does indeed make me think that Lelouch is intended to have lived somehow to be with C.C., because that is certainly him. But,because he's still alive, he's going to have to live in seclusion with C.C. for the rest of their lives because the world still thinks he's dead and he needs to keep that up. Not a good ending

@GryffenPuff I know this is a late reply, but I just wanted to give my opinion that I think it's still a good ending, even if he's alive. Even if alive, he's still had great sacrifice, and left everyone to think he's dead. He'll have C.C. sure, if it's to be believed he's alive, however he's given up so much, just to make the world a better place. I think that's a fitting and good ending, if if he doesn't sacrifice absolutely everything for it.

@thekusaja This is the confirmed version. It's hard to see, but there is a T.V. channel symbol in the top-right corner of the screen. I was recently watching Angel Beats! and that was the exact same symbol. This was air'd on Television. The fake one doesn't show him smiling, or even his eyes. It's just a scroll up seeing his mouth covered and his eye visible.

@NoGround94 That just proves this is a fake edit that uses footage from the broadcast channel, nothing else. I directly watched the streamed version live, all the way back in September 2008, and no, there was no such thing when the episode aired. Keep in mind that I'm not arguing against the survival of Lelouch, that is very likely true, but only against fake evidence that only confuses people for no reason.

Seriously I thought he was dead since I watched the dubbed version and later watch other videos that showed him alive but I wasn't too sure. Now this confirms it but I read a comment earlier that said that the director or creator said that Lelouch is officially dead :(

i am glad to know that the writers intended him to be alive. It would be nice to see a season 3 with Lelouch in it. However, the fact that they edited it so that the viewer could have their own opinion shows that they probably do not plan to make anymore with Lelouch. The new season releasing this year is, sadly, a side story. but who knows? maybe towards the end they will reveal more on the fate of Lelouch and hint towards a possible sequel to the series. One can only hope.

Also on another note there is no words to express my emotions for the ending of this spectacular anime. They had very exciting/realistic plots, just the right amount of characters and past experiences that were vital in not having loose ends. This anime by far was one of the greatest anime's I have every scene, it was emotional and intellectual. The ending was perfect and the animation was amazing along with the exciting fights/scenarios for each episode. This by far is rating: 10/10 I believe

Nope, the directors decided to cut this scene from ALL versions in the end, including subbed. Which is why it didn't appear in the eng sub version as well :) I don't know how animestation11 managed to get this video but let's just be glad that Lelouch is alive~ :D

I suspected that as well when watching though, but it said so in wiki as well... :/ and i heard that there'll be a 3rd season, without lelouch, even if there's another main chara, it just kinda doesn't make it 'code geass' anymore and i guess the producers are aware of that... i'm not too sure but still, i'm hoping this video is accurate...

Though that is the most plausible and accepted theory of the ending of code geass, the fact is the drivers face was never animated, the video clips in a fan clip and this is obvious when you LISTEN TO THE BGM properly.

the dead camp for Lulu always claims that statements coming from magazines from staff directors etc are official they were also forgetting that they had the sattement about lelouch being alive so, what else should we beleive, until the whole burial scene of lelouch is animated or his scene that he is really the wagon driver showing his face exist that is canon and no statements from staff or director can undo that.

But how does he live?! 1)People are saying that he lived because he killed hid dad, but thechnicaly HE didn't kill his dad, "God" did. 2) He wouldn't be able to use his Geass if he became immortal. 3) I don't think he's immortal just alive, it would explain him being able to still use his geass, so how did he live? well thats easy it wasn't him, he could easily have used his Geass to make someone die for him, I mean did you see how flawless Sayoko costume was?! Well thats my thought.

@FlameIceStudios the code was dormant until he was "killed" by suzaku. his code kicked in. remember when nunally was holding his hand then got an image of what leouch really planned? that was the effect of the code being used. same thing when lelouch lost is memory then CC returned it to him when she "died".
