Joe, wouldn't it be more effective if the law was just cut and dried? If you beat someone and try to kill them, attempted murder and hopefully life in prison should be it. I don't agree with multi-faceted laws....".well yeah he tried to kill him but was it a hate crime or not"? Why does that matter? If someone tries to kill somebody else, why would the reason matter unless it was self-defense?
