If this is a genuine fusion reaction, it should self-sustain as long as reaction temperature is maintained or exceeded. I would like to see the output driving a load eg, steam engine at greater than atmospheric pressure, It should be possible to measure decrease in mass of reactants, using e=mc2 to determine energy produced.

In his most recent test on the 28th of October he claimed to have produced 470kva (470watts) (>600hp) BUT throughout the test there was a 450kva Diesel Genset (generator) running. Rossi's motivation is simply that he enjoys making himself the focus of public attention and he will continue with his tricks so he can surround himself with the attention which he loves.

In the past, he claimed a very high conversion rate from waste heat to electricity. The interesting thing is that he believed back then in producing these thermoelectric generators and his results were positive. An independent evaluation revealed much worse figures. I expect the same with the e-cats, if he'll accept a 3-rd party check.
(3) @gatheringoftheminds . The Fat-Cat continued to generate heat for 3 hours after electrical disconnection, but Rossi stopped the test because he was tired. Again this is ridiculous. If this Nickel/Hydrogen cold fusion is true then everyone involved would be happy to take turns sleeping on the floor so the test could continue for weeks. The steam venting at 7 min is normal for water which is 130 degC under pressure and you reduce pressure which makes the water erupt as reserve steam.

Everything about this Rossi Saga is exactly what you would expect in a fraud, including the ridiculous “Journal of Nuclear Science” which is merely Rossi’s blog. Some people are actually saying they are not buying their winter heating oil because they hope to have their own Nuclear Fusion home heating in time for winter.
