@shadowblade15277 For the spell "Sword brothers" you need have at least 50-70 EXP in the sword familiar, otherwise you can´t do the spell. You can get this EXP easily if you go to the inverted royal chapel and fight with the floating sword. First, kill all the spears and shields, each of them brings you some EXP. Try this many times until you get that EXP.

In fact this glitch is the same as in Baldur's Gate (1 and 2), you use a potion, you wait the potion to be used, you use a second potion (as it's turn by turn the second will take time to be really used) but before the second potion is used (5sec) switch the place of the potion with a gem, you will have 65535 gem to be sold... :-)

@EragonFanatic2007 The PSN ver is the exact same so you're doing it wrong. SB spell, then go to librarian, enter sell gem and set it to the max for say Garnet, then pause and equip a Garnet, then unpause and sell. You have now sold something that you don't have, and being that there's no negative numbers it loops back to the highest number 255 (256 = 0 somehow). If you are in fact doing the spell then going to the librarian, but can't pause you're a liar; because that's the DXC ver and not PSN.

I've followed this exact process as far as I can tell and it honestly feels like I'm banging my head off of a wall, because I'm not getting any results from this. I don't know what the hell I'm missing but I'm definitely missing something. I execute the sword brothers spell, run over to him, go to sell gem, highlight the gem in the shop. pause, equip it from my inventory, unpause... and nothing happens. What am I not doing here?

@tokenking420 I believe your sword has to have its first noticeable upgrade. you will notice when this happens because your sword familiar will leave the screen and you would have to re-equip the relic, at this point the sword familiar will be an equipable sword in your inventory

THE GLITCH WORKS FOR THE 360. Although I'm not sure how to do it but I was able to get about $300,000 from the turquiose(because that's all I had). After you sell it, the game should say you have E(1,2,3,4) amount left. Hold right on the D-pad until you reach the limit. Your gem shouldn't appear in your inventory. I think that's how I just did it. I JUST found this out. I don't know if anyone else has though but I'm too lazy to do research :3. Hope I helped someone out. :)

this run through the game as made me a firm believer that the xbox360s controller is garbage, I used to do this crap on Ps1/Ps2 Controllers all the time, I cant even get the spell to go off once on the 360, I think it may be an issue with the controllers recognition of diagonals... my sword familiar is maxed out so i know its level has nothing to do with this. okay, since people cant look at the video maybe they will read my comment. Start at the LEFT button, go counter clockwise to UP, and hold it for 3 seconds, now quickly move your finger to down and press SQUARE.

This glitch does NOT work on the PSP version of the game.

the spell is Down, Down-Right, Right, Right-Up, Up (hold for 2 sec.), Down, X (xbox 360 ver.) Then talk to merchant. When the sell menu is up press start and equip the ring you are going to sell(you have to have only 1 ring, it wont work if you have 2 of the same ring). Then sell the ring that u just equipped and viola you have 255 ring :D
