Nice videos MrWolfe!! Considering that my striker didn't come with any instructions. I don't understand why there are two sides to the little thing I strike on the rod. There's a serrated a just flat edge. I get both to sides to work but pretty inconsistently so I don't know.
@vonfred54 first, use the serrated edge to scrape little shavings from the striker. the little shavings get flicked and fall into your kindling, then use the V blade to shoot sparks at both the little shavings and the kindling. the little shavings will then ignite from within the pile of kindling and jumpstart your fire. ez firestarting.
