Me and my friends are pushing to introduce anime and manga into the culture of a mainly sport crazed school. If only we could create the bond because I know a ton of guys at my school who love FF and a few who like Naruto. Somehow I know it is working though because during a spirit week I wore my whole Itachi cosplay and my chemistry teacher new EXACTLY who I was... now cosplay dodgeball. GENIUS!

dude at my school, Anime is so frowned upon. my whole group decided to wear our head band everyday (not around our head but like on our necks, in our hair, as a belt..) and still everyone is liek YEAH NAR-U-TO. when we've all moved on and like other animes as well. i can't even say i like anime because i'm a cheerleader and half to keep up an "image". its so stupid. like on our costume days, i would love to wear cosplay but my mom won't let me cause of the cheer thing

My school is very big, so we have a sub-culture of anime fans. There's a manga club in the making for next year, and we meet up at anime conventions. Its not very popular amongst the rest of the school, but its not frowned upon either. Most people just find it interesting and different, but we're not particularly shunned :P
