The vaughn epic 8800, Im thinking of getting. Its pretty much a reebok pad but much better. I feel its like a reebok pad, but the leg channel has the vaughn comfort and closed-ness. Price has just switched. He likes his pads like reeboks but he does not want to switch from vaughn

the reason that rbk and bauer pads dont have knee breaks and outer roll breaks is because they are butterfly style pads while vaughns are hybrid/standup style pads

I wear Rbk(Reebok) premier 2 8ks and I personally think they are great they are:

-Very durable

-Come broken in

-Have very nice graphic

-Low price for a superb pad

-overall a great pad

@nhlgoaliem39 if you had a v3 pro pad first tho, they feel weird, i had v3 pro pads then i switch to the premier 2 pro series and they felt awkward cause they're thinner and meant for quicker movment (that is you tie them up tight) most people like the v3's because they stick to your leg better while at the sametime, they can be pretty loose.

You are so dum tell us what Vaughn puts into there pads that doesnt need to be there. RBK's are not bad but i find vaughns are alot smother when sliding and they have more protection.

@lucasn23 ok to start you need to do few things, 1 calm down, 2 actually look at the products. so you say " VAUGHN IS GOOD BUT TO PRICY RBK IS SAME BUT CHEAPER" well actually vaughn and rbk pads are vey very different. For example compare the velocty's with the premier line.

Vaughns:

- skinnier leg channel for more tight, classic hybrid fit

-knee rolls and breaks for more bend in pads for a tighter butterfly

-thicker knee stack and calf stabilizer for improved support in butterfly

Rbk's:

- wider leg channel for more pad rotation

- flat face for stiffer pad

- no knee rolls or breaks for stiffer pad

so really they arnt the same thing and they are the same price if you would car eto compare the vaughn 7500's to the premier 3's r the 7400's to the 9k or the7300's the the 7k maybe then you would see they re exactly the same in price and or maybe a couple dollars off, dont forget rbk' made in china, Vaughns made in north america

th quality is just better with vaughns, but if pple like a pad tha rotates more and is stiffer then sure rbk's are good for thembu for the more hybrid, or even a goalie with a thinner butterfly, who likes a tighter softer padt thenvaughn is for them. Regardless you cant say that Vaughn is worse than rbk's and also they are not any more expesive, even though they are hand made here in North america, not machine made in china

@lucasn23 rbk is very good but the pads dont last long unless you get the really expensive ones that r not made by chinese... vaughn is built for fast goalies. im not very big so i like vaughn cuz i get around the net quicker. coming from a goalie whos had both pads at a very high level of hockey i can tell you that vaughn is better for the goalie who is faster. rbk can do that too, just fatass goalies where that. aka sieves, which is probly what u are

@lucasn23 Thats impressive. im in the top 5 best goalies in the nation, and was the starting goalie for the Junior Olympic U.S Hockey team. I shut out the best team in russia and won player of the game. Have won every shootout competition ive played in and got defensive player of the year for my high school. i started varsity as a freshman over a junior. Were obviously both very good goalies. 3,500 $ pads are obviously very high end but i have 900 $ pads and i play all that high end hockey.

yeah well, firstly vaughns have a better knee support system with more knee blocks so you don't have your knees hitting the ice as much or feel the shock from it either, secondly they have the calf stabilizer which levels out the knee and creates less tension and presssure on knees and hips and yes they are very very lite weight so i highly suggest them

goalierbk33 well my only suggestion for ur glove is put 3-4 maybe 5 pucks in the pocket tape it up and leave it for awhile then just work ur glove with ur hand a bunch and if u have any access to steam then use it. as for ur pads tie the toe strap to the higest strap and that will create a natural bend if u leave it for long enough
