  • lol thats what i did in 6th grade science! it was so much fun, she also put in a glow stick with the bubble thing

    lol @ 0:47 nah!

  • emmm yes... I wounder what that did look like.

  • my teacher Mr Newman has a graduated cylinder that looks like that at 0:19 i'm studying chemistry

  • can u make dry ice

  • thats freaking aweosme!

  • That is so awesome!

  • God, I wish you were my Science teacher. :(

  • speek louder i can barly hear u

  • Dang, that's cool. I must get my chemistry teacher to try that sometime (even though I have no idea where you would get dry ice in the UK).

  • that looks like a bong

and i would hit that without the soap

  • Dude you are so cool, I wish I was your Science student. What grade do you teach?

  • when you hold the bubbles, & then you pop it & it turns back into a gas, it there r ur hands soapy after it pops?

  • Yep, soapy and wet.

  • okay thank you for answering :)

  • @mrbrunnerutah how i get it stop??

  • @nutcrackerfan14 if you dont put too much then no

  • lol the kids who have you are the luckiest people ever. really

  • Awsome video dry ice is cool i wish i had some but oh well very cool video its a solid (the dry ice) plus a liquid (the hot water) equals a gas (the outcome or if soap is added like you did then its a solid plus a liquid plus a liquidy solid equals a gas trapped in side a solid liquid.

  • thats so cool

  • cool !!

  • do u have hot water before you but ice's to jar ?

  • where can i buy dry ice?

  • is the bubble dry??

  • can you be my teacher? lol

  • yea i hope my school hire him as our teacher it will be so cool lol

  • I WANT A TEACHER LIKE THAT TOO LOL!

  • it was i was in his class. hi mr brunner its me giovanni

  • 10 pounds of dry ice can make your kitchen non breathable if there is no window open or somthing to get air in.

  • Fun stuff!

  • Your class must be a lot of fun.

  • why did he use glove just to get dry ice out

    is it really really cold?

  • Yes it's really cold.

  • im not 100% sure but it does something i think it gives ya frostbite

  • uhhh YEAH it can burn you cause it is soooo cold

i have a dry ice burn on my arm it sucked!!! when i got burned

  • dry ice is so cold it could probably give u frsot bit if u hold it for more than 10 seconds or it might even burn because its so cold

  • Not ten seconds, 3 seconds. XD

  • More like less than 5 seconds, lol

  • I believe that dry ice is at about a temperature of -78C/-110F

  • -109 degrees fahrenheit

enough to give you frostbite in a few seconds

  • it's so cold it can burn you.

  • Hell yea its cold...

    −78.5 °C (−109.3 °F)

You will get frostbite if you touch it for a few moments

  • if you just touch it a little it either burns your hand the cold way or frost bite

  • can u buy dry ice at a grocery store

  • nice m8, i finally figured out what to do with this excess dry ice :P that was really really fun, parents were scared cause they say the C02 gas going below the door :P

  • That most be FUN!!!! :D

  • Is it dangerous if you inhale it?

  • CO2 is bad for you, if you breathe in CO2 you'll suffocate/die after a minute (With nothing but concentrated CO2 being inhaled). Basically, it's bad to inhale it, but it won't kill you to take breathe it with the air in the room.

  • so thats why u breathe out CO2, not inhale

  • CO2 is not going to kill you. In fact you breathe it in small amounts all the time in normal air, but you don't use it and therefore exhale it along with Nitrogen and other gases you are not designed to burn for energy.

The only way to die from breathing a pure load of Carbon Dioxide, is to hold it in there and suffocate (stupid).

Blowing all your air out and sucking in Helium from a baloon is no different, apart from the density of the gas. But you wouldn't hold it in there for long.

  • Co2 is the stuff u breathe out so no it would just be cold and probably make u sick

  • think, 0.5 kg's of d'ice, big tube, and 0.1ltr's of soap = boom.

  • what if u colored the water green. now THAT would have been scaryon h-ween

  • dude ur awesome i had to go to my freinds lil sisters party and i did this for them and they LOVED IT!!! ur a life saver lol

  • now you have to light it on fire

  • QUESTION! Aren't you not supposed to keep dry ice in a plastic container? i once saw where they put dry ice in a plastic cooler to see what happened and i blew up!

I've always heard to keep it in Styrofoam... =/

  • Two issues here:

First, plastic will crack if it comes in direct contact with dry ice. You can't see it, but inside my cooler, the dry ice is actually still inside a paper sack - separating the ice from the plastic.

Second, it will really only explode if there is too much pressure inside. That would happen if the lid securely shut. My cooler lid pops off easily and so the pressure would not build up enough to be dangerous.

  • Ooohhh gottcha! I wasn't sure. :D

    Thanks for clarifying!

  • when you pop the bubbles in your hand, does it make your hands wet?

  • Yep. Wet, soapy, and a little cold.

  • Hey i have a question... you probably been asked this before but can you use food coloring? is this what they do for the volcanos for science projects and whatnot? or is there some otehr way of doing that?

  • no i can't see any possible way of coloring GAS. what you and vinegar, sodium bicarbonate, dihydrogen oxide, and food coloring and google volcanoes how to make.

    cheers

  • may i ask you a personal question? are you a teacher? idk why but you give off that cool science teacher vibe. Any way awesome vids.

  • Dude, you rock what grade do you teach im in fifth im doing the same project for science fair project!

  • i love your videos i had so much fun with dry ice

  • does anybody know were you can get it in canada?

  • does it leave a soapy residue on your hands?

  • Oh yeah. Really soapy, but easy to wash off.

  • wow the only problem is that the publix near me sells it for 6$ a pound! and 1/2 the time they don't even have any!

  • WHERE DO U BUY DRY ICE!!!!!

  • WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME? You can buy it at Walmart in the United States. Outside the country? You're on your own.

  • its just i cant find it anywhere im wasnt yelling haha i just wanted to make sure that everyone could see it and respond and also like would you just ask someone to get you the dry ice cuz the one i go to i never see any special section ha so like would i just ask a sales assoctiate and they'd get some one to ring it up because im not really sure what to do because this is my first time ever buying dry ice

  • They usually keep it locked in a cooler at the front of the store. You just tell the cashier, "And I would like 2 pounds of dry ice." And they go and get it for you. In most states you must be at least 16 years old to buy it.

  • cool do you have any idea how much it would cost?

  • At both the Kroger and the Walmart near my house, you can get it for about $1 per pound--totally worth it.

  • o ya i forgot you told us in the vid and wow thats great!! thanks ill see if it's available near my house thanks:)

  • where do u buy dry ice, i have seen tones of things like yours, but i want to do it myslef, can u even get in australia?

  • i want my science teacher to do that XD

  • hahaha i want to try..!!1

  • science!!!!!!!!! it burns! ahhhh

  • No It Doesnt!

  • Does too

  • its alive !

  • dad* XD

  • u must be such a cool that for ur kids!
