  • for 120K, yep, it is ifr...but so are the other foreign built ones at that price. without IFR, the Zodiac is still in excess of 105K.....substantially more than what he said the foreign built airplanes cost. I'm jsut trying to figure out why the priced differential. By the way, I like the Zodiac a lot. When I was starting my sport pilot flight school, I was going to lease a Zodica 601i.

  • yea paul..he was comparing the AMD to the foreign airplanes....which he said cost about 60K before marketing layers and distribution. So my question still stands.......why is the AMD Zodiac approaching 120K without the added marketing layers and distribution layers of the foreign airplane?

  • I believe the plane is now iFR certified which is more costly. Extras can really drive the cost up. My plane is for sale at $69k

  • The day i was ready to sign the lease, the owner decided he wanted to sell instead. That was 1 1/2 years ago and he still hasn't sold the airplane. Personally, I think he would have been better getting some lease revenue instead of just sitting on it for that long.

How long have you had yours for sale? Hopefully, the bad press of them hasn't ruined the market for you.

  • so how come this airplane is 120K? According to John, the foreign airplanes are $60,000 before all the layers of marketing and distribution.

  • Foreign? AMD built my plane.

  • I wish I had John's job. Those airplanes look like a hell of a lot of fun. I'd like to find a flying club with access to one of 'em.
