  • Oh yeah! : )

  • A-fuckin'-men! This album came out when I was 17 and has held a rare spot in my collection: I've owned it on album, 8-track, cassette amd CD. It now resides on my ipod! When a new medium evolves I'll probably have it on that, too because it still holds up as an ass-kicker.

  • Man, I haven't listened to this song since 1977! I hope they really are bringing back the vintage sound for the new album. This was the last album of theirs that I really liked.

  • Classic!!!

  • Without "Rocks" (1976) we did not get "Guns N Roses: Appetite for Destruction" (1987) .-)

  • @fortheloveoftunes true story

  • Tom Hamilton. Unsung. Great bass on this one.

  • I had this album on a 8 track and it changed tracks in the middle of this song!

  • new album comming out this spring, its supposed to be simplified classic rock and roll!!!

  • alright now were speedballin!!!

  • I wish these guys could still write tunes like this!

  • this also used to be my song for drag racing down mainstreet.

  • god i love this song. one of my top songs in my Cruising playlist!

  • Some of Perry's best feedback work in this tune.

  • @returnunopen eeuriiiint!!!

  • This was their Dark Side of the Moon for sure but, they've put out a lot of great music since.

  • 5 people must have thought the button right next to the like button was the i am obsessed with aerosmith button, THAT MAKES 6!

  • I can't remember the last time I heard this album. I'm gonna get drunk and listen to it tonight!!

  • best only to their first , rocks rocks

  • what happened to good music? pretty hard to follow.

  • One of the best records in rock'n'roll history! Such a dark raw, drug fueled record!

  • back when the boys from Boston kicked fuckin ass!

  • I'll put this guitar work up against my teenagers crap any day.

  • looking for the live version at SAO PAULO FROM LAST SUNDAY but i guess nobody was able to record this ´cause everyone was so amazed !11111111

  • The boys are getting old, when you look in the mirror we see new lines. Just grew some chin hair and now it's most gray. If ur daughter is listening to ur music, ur older than me lol.

  • 1:24 "I got the NuvaRing!"

  • pure and simple.rock n roll american style..!!!!!!!

  • I'm only 26 and i say this is the most underrated song on Rocks!!

  • Joe Perry and the rest of the band are in my head, in my dreams, in my stash. I've been to 4 Aerosmith concerts, the best time ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @headforthehillsDI In the old days AeroSmith sucked in concert... terrible! They were so drugged out the sound wasn't even close. I heard their much better today, was going to see them, but Tyler fell off the stage the concert before and cancelled!

  • @uprite88 When I said I had the best time ever, I didn't say it was the best Rock Concert. Probably the best I've ever heard and seen, as far as cohesion goes, was Rush 2112 concert in 1980. I had an extraordinary time. The venue was Cape Cod, we tore it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @headforthehillsDI Understood my friend, ur an old dude like me lol. I'd have the say my best time was at the Stones concert at Candlestick park, the crowd was electric. But for the music of a band, it had to be Ac/dc in the late 70s.

  • @uprite88 I never did see the Stones, wish I had. "Cant you hear me knocking" and "Sympathy for the Devil" awesome tunes. My daughter saw AC/DC with her friends parents, she said they were really good. The teenagers love "our" music, and who can blame them. I know what you mean by "electric", that's how Rush was for me. :-)

  • @headforthehillsDI I saw both the Stones and Aerosmith in the late 70's. I saw Aerosmith 3 times and they were GREAT, only once-1977, Toys in the Attic tour with REO Speedwagon and Slade, the two subsequent time I saw them they weren't so good (because Tyler & Perry were worked on Cocaine!). I Saw the Stones in Wash DC@ the Warner Theatre(Surprise Show, announced the day of-) in the late Summer of 78, performing "Some Girls", and it was one of the BEST!

    So-In Conclusion-Stones 3-Aerosmith 1

  • @funincenmd They toured 'Draw The Line' in 1977 - 'Toys' would have been '74 or '75. I saw the 'Rocks' tour in '76 and they owned it...by the time I saw them again in '77 the drugs had really taken hold. I was glad when they came back in the '80's, one of my favorite bands ever...

  • @uprite88 thats when i loved them best..sorry that was..my time...just plain stupid fun..you had to be there....truly had to be there

  • This is without a doubt some of the Greatest first 20 seconds in Rock n' Roll

  • Very heavy jam, love it.

  • locaso xDDDDD heavy

    hahaha

  • yep whiskey is definitly the irish mens drug of choise

  • Who Are These 5 Lunatics Walking Amongst Us Who Disliked This..!!! Fucking Zombies..!!!

  • I was a teen when this came out; I'd play it all the way through; one of the first albums I could do that with. I remember burnin a doob and by the the time this song came on, my buzz was perfect.

Then I'd have to reach over and flip the fucking record over :)

  • Got this when it came out...played it everyday for weeks/months, I've never forgotton. You can't find this any more.

  • "Walkin' on Gucci wearin' Yves St. Laurent

Barely stay on 'cause I'm so G'damned gaunt!"

Wow, songwriting at its bitter end!

Rocks, IMHO, was their last great album.

  • @muzikkraz im retarted i thought he said "Barely stay on 'cause I'm so Captain Crunch"

  • @thedpfman170 well you are not bad..i thought it was trankid road

  • try listening to all the earlier stuff,Joe Perry is off the hook, talk about funkey...

  • twin guitar my friend

  • Damn fine band before the days of MTV.

  • I got

  • Perry is good, but the "other" guitarist, Brad Whitford, deserves as much credit. Brad went to Berkley music school and I'm sure taught Perry alot. Rocks is among the most kick ass rock ever made...and will probably ever be made. My bro bought this album in 76 and, even now, my hair still sticks up on end when I hear most of the tracks. The album sleeve has a ton of pics shot while in the studio...drugs usually kill the creative process (G&R), but, in this case, it created some jewels.

  • Yes. I'm 18, and this album kicks the shit out of most of this new garbage. Nice to see others who appreciate good music also.

  • Yonkers NY + this song = pleasant memories.

  • always liked that lil' fart o' feedback after the last note.

  • in my opinion the best albums are:aerosmith, get your wings, toys in the attic, rocks, draw the line and night in the ruts the last one is very underrated

  • at their heroin-bootin' best...

  • riff master joe perry. rock n roll at its finest.

  • This is actually my favorite song off that awesome album !

  • Rocks the best 34 minutes of my life...

  • Rocks was,and is,the definitive Aerosmith Album...they never topped it...I remember buying the follow up record Draw the line....absolute shit.

Tho they did redeem themselves with Night in the Ruts..it was never the same.

The so -called revival album Pulp was hyped up shit......they became a parody of themselves...so sad

  • dont let the record level meters go in the red next time you record, or it'll come out all distorted , and washed ou tlike this.

  • @Simon4642 talking about the band, not me. they made their best music during the drug days. if you already have talent, sometimes the drug experimentation can enhance creativity. you have to have the talent to begin with though; the drugs will not create it for you. beatles another example. sure, some bands are/were drug free. thats fine, too. whatever works for them. you may have a puritanatical view. thats fine, just dont piss down my back and tell me its raining. p.s., learn to spell.

  • Who are those people that dislike everything? i can uderstand disliking Justin.. but who dislikes Aerosmith and every other great music?

  • america's greatest band at their absolute greatest, right here. ROCKS is the album that sums everything great about rock n roll in my book.

  • Im only 50 and I remember smokin grass to this tune THUMB ME!

  • @Mrm0nG0 I'm only 46 and I'm hitting the jib now to this tune boss. Rock on.

  • @gingermol76 Best song/best producing-great f-in album- probably their best ever!

  • Comment removed

  • @Mrm0nG0 You are exactly correct!

  • @funincenmd Had some Thie Stick in yer day as well my friend? lol

  • Im only 50 and I remember smokin grass to this tune

  • @Mrm0nG0 thank you for only being 50 im 47 and now i know that if i make it i wont be a chump

  • There's a shitload of DRUG references on this album.....hmmm gee, I wonder why?

  • I'm only 45 years old and I love this song.

  • Rocks rocks.

  • 1973-76 the hard driving heavy boogie shaped groove of Aerosmith really had no competition. Egos and drugs ruined it but the legacy lives.

  • joe perry is one heck of riff writer, Steven Tyler is probably the best hard rock vocalist i've ever head

  • This album is my favorite and the inside record cover is the balls!!! THE BEST ROCK ALBUM !

  • I loved this song when it first came out and it its never got old, this is real ROCKIN ROLL !!

  • Rocks is an awesome fucking album!!!! AEROSMITH THE BEST

  • At 1:08 is what every great Aerosmith has but I can't define it.

  • This song fucking kicks ass -- the riff is killer, the drums are rocking = BAD ASS

  • In their autobiography, Joe says combination is about "heroine, cocaine, and me"

  • today is 26 march. happy birthday steven :D

  • fuck n smith!

  • so guys... what is this song about?? is about perry getting doped or something like that?? i can't translate the lyrics very well, because i dont speak english so i dont get the slang too well.. can anyone tell me please??

  • @sicoticosandro I think it's about drugs and rehab maybe... When he say "can't part the three of us" I think Perry is talkin' 'bout a mix of cocaine, heroin and himself... Or maybe heroin, a needle and himself... Another clues that make thing it's about drugs are these parts: "I'm rearranging my game tell by the shape I'm in", "I got the Nouveauree"; seems Nouvaree is that mix of cocaine and heroin I talked about before.

But the truth I'm not sure at all, this song lyrics are really cryptic

  • @jpugarte thnx man :D

  • @jpugarte Ur actually exactly rite! & the Nouvaree is a speedball (mix of heroin and cocaine, strong shit!)

  • Maybe their best song ever!

  • @scienceisgod1 agree

  • fucking killer!

  • I remember this song from around 1986 6 years old. Dad used to play all the good vinyl and got his son educated at an early age. God Bless Dads!!!!!!

  • Man, we were so lucky when we were teens, to have music like this. Thanks Aerosmith. G , Michigan City, Indiana.

  • I know that most people, no matter how old, think that their generation's music was the best. But this is the Real stuff kiddies. there is NO music being made today , that is even in the same conversation as this.R O C K S was one of Americas Greatest rock albums.

  • Best Aerosmith album. This song, Back In The Saddle, Rats In The Cellar, etc.etc....smoking frombeginning to end. Top 10 album of all time.

  • THIS IS ROCK! THIS IS MUSIC! DAMMMM aerosmith at their best... tyler, perry, hamilton, kramer, and whitford are a match made in heaven..there is seriously no other explanation lol ......40 years later and they still play live like they where 20..same energy...they´re freakin music BEAST´S

  • untouchable!fuckn smith @ there best

  • class of their own. Love the Entwhistle-ish bass riffs during the verses. Can anybody touch Joe Perry, I mean *^#$#

  • class of their own.

  • lucky enough to catch Joe playing with his kids band TAB a few yrs ago at Mohegan Sun...they busted out this song, and you could tell who the real Aerosmith fans were...

  • I used to play this song over and over!!

  • Rocks should be a compilation album! all by itself!

  • @obitobi100 NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOO B.S. - you said it!!!

  • Joe gets greats sustain on this track.

  • Soooooo good. Just brings sweet memories of putting two sterio speakers one on each ear, sandwiching my head in those suckers j (no joke) and blasting this stuff when in High School. Aerosmith Rocks is the one of the best albums ever.

  • I'm only 17 and I think this is the best I've ever heard!! Joe Perry is a fucking rock n roll bad ass!!!!

  • @pfootball43 same here

  • @pfootball43 what u mean ur only 17? why does it matter? is it more likely u would dislike it at that age? lol

  • @lleo11 He means cuz of the age of music and the new era that there is, theres 2 much crap out there now

  • @pfootball43 ok i almost 15 but its not you age that matters. All that matters is you dont like j beibs or gaga. biber has his own nail polish line out . Even my grandmother thought he was a fag

  • @pfootball43 yeah you said it!!!!!!!!!!

  • @pfootball43 You are very "ROCK" smart for your age! Impressed.

  • @pfootball43 I'm only three days old and this is the best ever:P

  • @filmaker93 Are you mocking me lol? I understand why. Honestly, I am sorry I wrote this, I did it waaaaay before all these douche bags started ruining it.

  • @pfootball43 Same reaction I had to this song when I was 17. Joe is the reason I picked up a guitar and learned how to ROCK it.

  • @pfootball43 I'm 17 too and I'm crazy for this song... in a few days i will publish the cover

  • My new fave Aerosmith song!!!

  • LOVE THERE 70'S STUFF CAN'T TOUCH IT!..Still my fav a,smith album!!

  • Hard ass shit.

  • SOWEEEEEETT!! thx.

  • To be so rich yet be in a ditch. I think this is what Joe Perry meant when he sang,

"Walking on Guccis wearin' Yves Saint Laurent ; barely stay on 'cause I'm so gawd-damned gaunt!"

    Bittersweet songwritting!

  • Favorite Album, every song is heavy and just rockin' Kick ass tunes and music playing. A testament to what a rock band should produce. Rock on Aerosmith.

  • The quicker picker upper.

  • I remember getting grounded for not turning this down cause I found it impossible to turn it down :)

  • rocks!!!!!!!! :D

  • little more gain and alter the riffs a bit and you get round and round by ratt

  • Damn intro (L)

  • slash loves this album

  • @sonicsteev changed his life.

  • Pure American Rock n'Roll.

  • Best song ever !!!!!!

  • Smoked a lot of the "Devils Cabbage" listening to this years back. Good times..........what I can remember of it!

  • "Get Your Wings", "Toys in the Attic", and "Rocks"....perhaps the heaviest Aerosmith will ever be guitar wise. Not to discoount any of the other releases, but these three still get plenty of spin on the player. This song is evident of how tight they were during this period both musically and lyrically.

  • @lxlandia Wings / Toys / Rocks = 3 solid albums. This "is" Areosmith. And they have not had enough good songs after Rocks, to make a good record, but they made 3 good records in the span of 3 years ... and virtually a handful of hits in the following 3 decades.

  • @johnnymegabyte I have all the Aerosmith cd releases up to Draw The Line. After that I just could not seem to like their songs enough purchase Permanet Vacation, Pump, etc. Granted some the the hits they had during those releases and beyond were catchy. Still, I prefer the earlier releases. There were much heavier and raw, and not so radio pop freindly. But that is just my prefrence, again. Aerosmith is still a band that has made a mark in the rock world.

  • @johnnymegabyte Draw The Line is great. 1. draw the line 2. i wanna know why 3. critical mass maybe my favorite 1-2-3 to start off any Aerosmith album. I prefer it over Get Your Wings which is great.

  • The opening riff is oh so raunchy. It drips. The rest of the song is chaos.

  • What is with everyone saying that last child is the lesser song on the album? Last child is a fucking incredible song with tons of passion, easily the baddest ass song on that album. This is weak and boring as hell compared to last child. Last child epitomizes aerosmith for me. Raunchy, unforgiving, and totally sexual.

  • @Uradyke69 Last Child is a good song, but it was burned out on the radio. If you can't hear the Magnitude of the Badassitude of this song then...oh well.

  • back in the saddle and last child best songs of rocks to me

  • absolutly love this song

  • One of the best Aerosmith songs.

  • MTV did the whole Aerosmith history...around 1989ish Steven Tyler reviewed each album......ROCKS?? ..... cos it is, cos it does....(love it!!)

  • Aerosmith rules

  • 轟音が鳴り響く

  • Rocks. best Aerosmith album. Toys and the 1st album awsome also. Maybe drugs r good for musicians because once they got sober they sucked.

  • This is real music.

  • @MrMarill --Some think that Def Leopard will go down as 1 of the best rock bands of all time..

  • @MrMacswellsmart I agree with you. I'm saying this is real music, compared to the shitty music we get today.

  • @MrMarill --Definitely!!! Nickleback & Alice in chains are pretty good groups also.. But nothing like the 70's

  • @MrMacswellsmart Wolfmother are pretty awesome too. I do like some modern music, it's just sad how a bunch of posers with no musical talent that sound the same as every other band can become famous.

  • @MrMarill --That's very true, most bands today does sound the same... I never heard of wolfmother....

  • @MrMacswellsmart Look up Joker and the Thief, or Mind's Eye. They're both awesome songs.

  • @MrMacswellsmart their not even close

  • @aerosmithofficial3 -- I agree.. I looked up joker and the thief, and mind's eye, and they can't even touch Aerosmith's Rocks... Aerosmith were raw during the early days... People today are getting jipped because most bands are using autotune... Btw, like your musical selection on your page...

  • This shit does kick ass.

  • frick up the best "ROCKS" YEEEAAHHH!!!!

  • This song gets better every time I listen to it. "Rocks" deserves more attention than "Toys in the Attic".

  • Grew up in Boston followed these guys since day one. GREAT Tune...

  • thanx for loaoding this albumn ,, so great

  • YEAH

  • wow.grew up with this.KILLER
