I was 17 in 1989. And even though my friends had never heard of Phoebe Snow, I myself had been raised on her. I still have all my mom's vinyls in storage. And this tape....I wore it out. Every song on it was great. Who knew I'd grow up to be an addict myself and get even more meaning and depth from her music.  I love you, Phoebe. RIP (P.S. Would love it if someone would put I'm Your Girl up here on youtube too.)

A real talent who had so much bad luck that she compounded awful decisions. Her voice and this song and one other, "Touch Your Soul," will always have a place in my heart.

Never knew much of her other work, but this song got me through some very dark days. Don't know if Phoebe Snow has children, but I hope they know how much her music has helped. Phoebe's soul in this song makes you feel like she's been there and knowing that, makes you feel like you're not alone. Thank you for posting this beautiful video tribute to Phoebe Snow.

GREAT song. This woman should have been more widely known. It's not that she simply had a great voice she had a unique voice -- sincere & powerful. She chose the right words to emote & intensify. No glorification. This is what sets her apart from the divas of today. Phoebe had risen above that level long ago. A great sense of humor too. She said she named herself after a train she'd seen as a child. It's true. Phoebe Snow was the name of a train. I love it.

A voice for the ages. She was a class act, and her dedication to her late handicapped daughter Valerie Rose, prevented her from reaching greater stardom, but that is the way she wanted it.  That tells you what kind of an angel she really was i life. RIP Phoebe!

The news of her death today fell on me like a ton of bricks, her music mattered to me, and it will always matter and touch our lives, and that is her magical legacy. Heaven has one more angel, and I am so comforted with the thought that she is now with her beloved daughter, Valerie. I am so happy to have made this tribute video and that it will help the world remember her through her magnificent voice. Rest In Peace, Phoebe.
