  • Hi Fire.

  • Red hot as hell

  • why do you battle him, anyways? i've always wondered.

  • @edman2121

He is a trainer, You are a trainer.

    Only natural. :o

  • @TheFlyingMantis but why did they add that?

  • @edman2121 He doesn't need a reason to slaughter you.

  • @edman2121 why does every other trainer in the game battle you?

  • @westridgemattlyman ...cause they want to get their ass kicked?

  • @edman2121 everyone except Red.

  • Gold did not beat Red, I don't give a damn what you say. Gold survived against Red.

  • lol i too like to "beat" myself

  • That feeling you get when you realize you've just been challenged by yourself from 3 years ago.

  • In my hack of LeafGreen, Pokemon Purple, you get to battle Brendan (from Ruby and Sapphire) near the end to this music. Because it was going to be Red, but then I replaced Red's sprite for the new main character and I was all "DARN"!

  • I beat him with only evlutions...

  • I wish that on april fools day that in the pokemon games all the epic music would switch with the trainer battles. I always wanted to hear this when battling youngster joey

  • This fight was so tense the first time I battled Red. When it said Trainer Red want's to battle I said, "Hey isn't that the guy from my Red version?"

So I turned Gold version off and turned Red version on, than looked at the profile and said "HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE GUY FROM RED/BLUE/YELLOW VERSION!"

  • @TheGamingParadox321 right, thats wat i said

  • @TheGamingParadox321 When I first saw him, and this is at age 5 let me remind you, I asked myself, "why doesn't he have 1 lvl 100 charizard?"

  • 51...Well Done Blue

  • @PrinceAndrea9 Hey you're playlist is named like mine! :)

  • 51 people were reds victims

  • EPICNESS

  • that epic moment when your starter finishes Red's last pokemon

  • Lance was the most easiest to battle 'cause I have a Mewtwo and my Mewtwo has moves that is super effective to Lance all pokemon

  • "then who was red" tag? lol

  • Am I the only person here who beat him on the first try? It wasn't that hard!

  • @SweetHeart4563 Not the only one :)

  • Bordel il me faut absolument ce jeu !!!

Se battre contre le héros des version jaune, bleu, rouge et vert, IL ME LE FAUT !!!

  • goddamn this fight was hard

i had like 3 or 4 left when had 5 left

  • He Crushed me my first try, i could only defeat pikachu :c

  • @deoxysking11 I beat him with lv 49s how? choice scarfing my gengar, using curse on all his pokemon, then spamming revives and hyper potions :)

  • Comment removed

  • @deoxysking11 I know right?

  • The intro is fuckin epic.

  • the intro is fuckin epic.

  • my darkrai pwnd every single one of Red's pokemon... but Red has now words to describe him... he is to awesome :D <3333333

  • As you reach the summit of Mt. Silver, you see a silhouette of a person within the blinding snow. You press on towards the figure, trying not to fall to your doom by the harsh winds. As you get closer to him, you are assaulted by a sense of unease.

    Red: ... ... ... ... ... ...

(Translation: It looks like you haven't had your ass kicked enough...)

You are challenged by Pokemon Trainer Red!

  • Ah the memories

  • Brendan (Emerald) vs Red..

  • @RagingNitrous Brendan is Ruby, May is sapphire, Emerald doesn't exist in the gameverse.

  • @KuraiKoyoyoyama Um, I was talking about the clothes >.>

  • @RagingNitrous Brendan wears red, except in Emerald, where both characters wear green...for some reason.

  • @KuraiKoyoyoyama sorry for sounding like a douche to you before, I misunderstood what you said (p.s. he also wears a sleeveless turtleneck in emerald)

  • Would you believe it took me 19 tries to beat him and i needed my friends level 100 Darkrai to win!

  • Looks like the kid you played in R/B/Y became a badass.

  • a boy in my class said yesterday: I never played pokemon! -.-

Then i replied: Then where the heck did youre childhood go?!

    And Red is awesome.

  • RED= The Guy u play in RED,BLUE and YELLOW....

  • @shevchenq0 don't forget GREEN

  • I once fought Red with each of his pokemon's worst enemies; for pikachu i used a Garchomp (with earthquake), for snorlax i used lucario with the highest attack stat i could forge, for lapras i used electivire, for charizard i used tyranitar, for venusar i used infernape, and for blastoise i used a sceptile. all level 100. highest possible stats. The sonuvabitch still beat me. How the fuck does that happen?

  • I liked how the original trainer battle transition from g/s/c shows up when you challenge him

  • Red is not Ash. Ash is not Red. How can I tell?

Red is too epic and sexy to even be in a comparison with Ash. B[

  • Red:the true opponent

  • RED stands for

    Really

    Epic

    Dude

  • @shinyeggproductions Ash stands for?

    A

    Shitty

    Hoe

  • I honestly just come here to hear the 1st ten seconds.

    So epic.

The entire song is good, mind you, but the intro..

  • Ash doesn't control what he does. If he did control, he be all like Red, but the creators of Pokeman are controlling him, thats why Ash sucks

  • Whenever I see all those stupid and pointless arguments about Red being better than Ash, I get the urge to choke a bitch.

  • @Male12368 Excuse us,this argument kidnapped us...

    :D But I luv this music,don't worry,more than argumenting.

  • Me:Finally! I got passed this gigantic mountain. Last time i remembered in fire red i find moltres here..

*sees man standing in front of him

Me: Who the hell is that? *talks to person*

    Trainer red wants to battle

    Me:FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

    Trainer Red sends out Pikachu.

Me:i Pikachu? Why would send out a pi *looks at red's pikachu's level*

Me:Why the fuck is it level **

  • The classic. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When Ash turns his cap backwards, something rather hilarious and lighthearted will happen.

When Red turns his cap backwards, SHITS GOING DOWN.

  • I hate Ash and Red becouse: Ash is too stupid in anime series and Red for me cheat.

  • How I wish they will made a game which features Red Travelling in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn,Sinnoh and Unovah and shows them whose the Boss in the pokemon world

  • Red is up on that mountain for a reason: so he doesn't bump into any beginning trainers who just got their first level 5 Pokemon.

  • @AvalancheOO4 Oh I think he would treat them with kindness, showing 'em the Trainer life,as it is. ;)

  • I swear this makes me want to get my ass in gear and beat the Kanto region in HG ( I restarted)

  • if i heard this playing during an exam i would instantly give up...

  • @VangerPT And what about people who have to graduate? XP

  • @TheDraughtofspades ...you could try so hard..and get so far....but in the end..it wouldnt even matter... :D

  • @VangerPT It's true...

But I wanna get far like Reddy!

  • its strage cos my brother is called Lance ands hes upsessed with dragons and has never even heard ot champion Lance from pokemon...

  • An interesting team to beat Red: 1)Unown with Hidden Power Ground -face Pikachu- 2)With Hidden Power Grass -face Blastoise or Lapras- 3)With Hidden Power Water -face Charizard- 4)With Hidden Power Ice -face Venusaur- 5)With Hidden Power Electric -face Lapras or Blastoise- 6)With Hidden Power Fighting -face Snorlax-. Level: 90+ Items: Choice Scarf,Choice Specs,Expert Belt,Metronome,Scope Lens,Razor Fang. One day I'll try. :D
  • I would love to see red appear in the animie.

  • @RaidGamingHD I want to see him at the top of the Heaven Tower in Unova, training his Zweilous and then,Ash & Co appear... It's a "..." moment.

After,Team Rocket attack and kidnaps Zweilous and its fight to release until it becomes Hydreigon!

  • Red, let me tell you about him.

You don't know how many times he loses, because when he loses he whites out and goes back in time where everyone but him forgets he lost.

He teaches a snorlax blizzard, which is retarded because snorlax has a shit special attack.

Red thinks traveling alone is smart when every other expert on traveling says it's better together.

Red thinks standing on top of a freezing cold mountain wearing casual clothes is smart.

All hail Red, the massive Retard!

  • @DeltaForceMember13 Compared to Ash's strategy of trading his Butterfree, letting go of his Squirtle and Charizard and losing every League...

  • wow

  • Red. Let me tell you about him.

He can teach a Snorlax shadowball and blizzard.

    he caught mewtwo.

    Red can evolve any pokemon.

Red is immune to the cold.

    Red ages and travels alone.

Ash does none of these things

  • I think every time Ash goes to a new region his Pokemon's level starts from 5 or 1 because Pikachu learns Electro Ball at level 18. Ash lost because Pikachu's electric energy was absorbed by Zekrom.

  • @readyovi Ash keeps freaking restarting which is why everyones a challenge to him. He would be about reds level of skill if that didnt happen. By now he shouldve been the pokemon master but since the animes a joke compared to manga and game just aint gonna happen.

  • They don't call him the Kanto Champion for nothing.

  • 0:00-0:10 I LOVE that part. It's like that part is announcing that something epic will happen. And I love the rest too of course! :D

  • @Trunks150 i know right its awesome :)

  • ...

    (This song is epic win!)

  • Wonderful. I go to one of my favorite songs of pokemon, and yet another fanboy argument is going on in the comments. And of course, the two top comments are comparing Ash to Red.

This has gone on way too long, guys. Would you just listen to the music and quit arguing?

  • @RyuuFireStorm Are 2 different person,as Manga Red isn't Games Red.

    It's remarkable their physical differency.

  • @TheDraughtofspades I don't like argue about. Prefer to listen,too. :)

  • @RyuuFireStorm

Don't you just hate it when that happens. :C

  • Red of the Games isn't the same Red of the Manga. What do ya think? Thumbs up or down.

  • BEST POKEMON MUSIC EVER!!! EEEEKKKK!

  • When I fought him I just used my level 65 Pokemon and spammed full restores while I wated out the hail it's not rocket science

  • Just remember, red was the trainer who survived gary oak showing up at the end of every cage and after the elite four.

That both explains why he's so strong, and why he doesn't want to talk.

All he would do is rage about gary motherfucking oak.

  • Red Fully evolved every starter in kanto.

Red taught a damn snorlax shadow ball and blizzard.

    Red travels alone.

    Red ages.

Red can stay in the frikin snow in short sleeves without being cold.

Red can catch a damn mewtwo.

Everyone of Reds pokemon were fully evolved in one journey.

Red beats every gym leader in one try.

Ash did nothing of these things.

  • @BOKillerZombie Ash's pokemon didn't want to evolve

No TMs so Snorlax couldn't learn any of those moves

    Ash likes to have friends

    Ash doesn't need to age

The Mewtwo Ash met is strong than Red's

    Red still has a Pikachu

So what if he beats them all in one try?

Ash and Red aren't the same so you can't compare the two

  • @muntu1221

Evolution makes them sand their stats stronger, along with better move pools. Compare any parallel pokes from Ash's team and Red's and I bet Red's are better.

He can buy them. The anime states it.

Red made plenty of friends along his journey as well, like Bill.

    Neither does Red.

    How so?

    A fucking boss Pikachu.

Ash tries his best in every gym battle, just like Red does. Except Red wins.

You CAN. Ash is Red's anime counterpart- they were based off of the same design.

  • @BOKillerZombie *coughpikacough*

  • @BOKillerZombie In the anime, Ash's level over hundred Pikachu lost to some level 5 Snivy owned by a noob

  • @BOKillerZombie Pikachus not evolved.

  • @S0nicFANnumbah1 *facepalm* He said Red evolved each STARTER.

  • @MrUmbraxor Pikachu is a starter. Apparently you havent played pokemon yellow.

  • @S0nicFANnumbah1 apparently you dont know that pikachu doesnt evolve in yellow

  • @rOfLcOpTeR4100 Fun fact: I didnt know that, but i never did say that in yellow pikachu evolved into raichu I said that you can only get pichu in pokemon firered by breeding so think before speaking.

  • @S0nicFANnumbah1 technically Pikachu evolved from Pichu, so what I said was true, from a certain point of view...

  • @MrRandomRussell But red didnt evolve pichu because there was no way to get pichu back then unless you breeded in firered. Other then that there was no way and i doubt he did that, anyways its speculation how he got his pokemon.

  • @BOKillerZombie everyone of us who started play with red version do that thing :P

  • @BOKillerZombie Pikachu wasn't.

  • @BOKillerZombie its true in the pokemon black movie ash was in the place with victini and was freezing like fuck and then he almost died as a loss of air when victini went ape shit and then got all firey moved the huge rocks thus saving the day

  • @BOKillerZombie Red may age, but Ash is immortal

  • @ket543128 Dude's been 10 for five generations of Poke'mon...

  • @BOKillerZombie you really cant compare the two. red is the player, who can do anything they want. Ash is supposed to be realistic where everyone cant have their own legendary and they actually have to sleep eat and physically walk to towns, which are miles and miles away, not a brisk 30 second walk. You cant compare red, who is basically a robot, to ash, who is a real (to the extent of the pokemon universe)

  • @LucienofTheLight You'd be right if they weren't talking about the Pokemon Manga

  • @LucienofTheLight Actually if you read the pokemon Manga, Red is still a way better trainer than ash.

  • @piro632 but this isnt the manga character red! this is the video game character red.

  • @LucienofTheLight yeah but manga character red is based off of video game red.

  • @piro632 Red the manga character and Ash are both based on the main character of r/b. this was before the game character became known as red

  • @LucienofTheLight Actually Red from the manga IS Red from the game. Just like how Gold from the manga is Gold in the game and so on.

  • Comment removed

  • @LucienofTheLight He is talking about the pokemon adventures Red who grew like a human being and aged, he got everything he did from experience and his personality.

Ash is a flat line never gets better and always gives up his pokemon except for pikachu.

  • @Skyhawk4000 You're right while saying aging could be treated better by Anime writers, but I think Ash is more mature than Kanto region. :)

And yez,he restart his team (except for Pikachu) every time he enters in a new Region.

You can understand this,it's a will to test new species of Pkmn and discover new fight strategy.

  • @TheDraughtofspades Sorry to jump in, but I have to agree with Skyhawk. Ash never does seem to get better. He gets older, certainly, but his battle skills remain the same. And if his old team worked fine and he loved it, then why would he change it? It doesn't make sense. For example, I migrate all of my old Pokemon into my new games because my old team worked fine. If there was a problem with my Pokemon, then I would explore changing it with a newer one.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Probably 'cuz Ash is transported by the happiness of the new Region.

It's so euphoric he even forgets to weaken wild Pkmn he encounters in the first Routes!

    :))

  • @TheDraughtofspades For him it's like:

"My older Pkmn are strong and I can always count on;now try with other!"

  • @TheDraughtofspades lol, That makes no sense. If they're so strong and can always be counted on, why would he give them up? You see, Ash isn't thinking straight! Also, can you explain why his Pikachu resets back to level 5 whenever he starts in a new region? It's hard to believe his Pikachu can beat insanely powerful level 70 foes in Kanto but can't even conquer Norman's Vigoroth in Hoenn. I mean, seriously? Ash beat all 8 gym leaders, but he can't even beat one of the 5th's Pokemon in Hoenn?

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Hehe...Emotion and probably 'cuz he wants to explore the Region and beat Trainers with native Pkmn.

A romantic soul is Ash,and for me,a great Trainer,in a very different way than Red.

  • @TheDraughtofspades Meh, there's more to being a great Trainer than beating people with new Pokemon. If that was true, everyone who played Challenge Cup in Stadium 2 was a great Trainer! And just as a side note, Ash was never one for exploring. That was more May's thing. Ash just alway wanted to get to the next gym so he could get a badge. But Red didn't even know about the gyms when he began his journey, so I'd say he's more into exploring because that was his initial goal.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 It's so funny seeing our conversation so passionate!

At the end,Ash is more lighthearted than Red,who has a training mode probably hard and with the goal to make a flawless team.

Ash wants to increase his Pkmn's abilities, but more "waiting" for his team's times, and the possibility they couldn't feeling ready for battle.

  • @TheDraughtofspades But if one Trainer has a flawless team and a tough training regime, doesn't that make him a better Trainer than the lighthearted one who doesn't know whether his Pokemon are ready? And again, if Ash can willingly give up his Pokemon, doesn't that prove that his bonds with them are weak? Red would never give up one of his well-trained friends because he put so much work into making them the best.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Probably Ash's Pkmn know their Trainer love them very much, and Ash is someone who is "for news!"

  • @TheShayminfreak2 So,Ash leave his Pkmn to Oak's care,and catches another friends.

He seems to don't mind so much about all the work on training his olds ones, for him it's simply a pleasure and he's amused to transmit this passionate work on someone else.

Red has a strict bond with his Pkmn and consider them probably definitive.

Ash=dynamic team, weak every time he resets it,remarkable at the League.

Red=Static. One team from the beginning to the end, extremely powerful.

  • @TheDraughtofspades Well, you're making Red seem like a guy who's just obsessed with training his Pokemon. Remember when he met Pikachu? His goal wasn't to make Pikachu the strongest Pokemon in the world, IIRC he said, "How about we just be friends?" It's because Red stays with his Pokemon for so long and never gives them up that he's such a great Trainer. Ash, on the other hand, never forms true bonds with his Pokemon because he'll give them up at the drop of a hat.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Oh no,at the contrary,I luv Red,I just want a boyfriend like him...Err.. XD

But I think Manga Red isn't Games Red.

Without any doubt,Red loves a lot his Pkmn.He also loves to be strong, but it's not obsessed,he isn't Blue.

Certainly,he worked as his Pkmn couldn't be defeated so easily.

He hasn't obsession in training Pkmn, but has a steel way to do,you know, not a chatty one, alone on the top of a mountain during blizzard, barely goes home..

  • @TheDraughtofspades Haha, I'm a guy, so I can't relate to the boyfriend bit xD

But I suppose if I were a girl I'd agree....

If I were going to train my Pokemon, I'd do it the way Red does. You've got to admit, it is effective - he's got the most powerful Pokemon of any in-game Trainer! I'm not sure which Red we're discussing, but if it's Red from GSC there won't be much to talk about but speculation!

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Physically? Well .. I wouldn't be sorry to have a boyfriend who looks like him. XD

Is amazingly disturbing to see how Game Freak knows giving substance to the characters.

Characters which later shine their own light.

B / W? I consider them a fracture, but also a continuity with the past. See and think about those skyscrapers...Nostalgia of the 8-bit ..

And admire the bridges, and the fine structure of the game.

I've immediately found them hypnotizing, B / W, also the Pkmn.

  • @TheDraughtofspades Oh, I see what you mean xD

Game Freak certainly does know how to design a character, but I'm getting worried that they've forgotten. Not that BW is bad by any means, but there weren't any truly memorable characters like Giovanni or Red. In terms of skyscrapers and 8-bit, you're definitely right, but doesn't it feel a bit inconsistent? For example, you're in Castelia City, where everything is fully-rendered, beautiful 3D. Then it goes 8-bit in a battle?

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Here ... N is a good character on which working. Ehee .. Game Freak does in order to never distance itself completely from 8-bit!

  • @TheDraughtofspades Well, I'd honestly prefer they just stuck with 8-bit. Mixing and matching doesm't usually work with graphics....

N was OK, but again, not quite memorable as the older ones....

  • @TheDraughtofspades The bridges are also nice, but as it is the person I am, I have something to say about them too.

While they certainly are beautiful, I wish that they'd have been given more time in development. Like on the Skyarrow bridge, where the camera smoothly slides around? That's amazing, and it gives you a sense of awe. But then the camera suddenly flicks away in the middle, and then it flicks back again? That totally pulls you out of it.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Air sickness!

  • @TheDraughtofspades Oh dear. It looks like I've reached my third comment. This is the last one, I promise :)

The game's structure... is slightly different for the series. You know in RBY, how sometimes you just didn't know where to go? That doesn't happen. It's very tight and linear, and that sort of goes back to the "story" I mentioned earlier....

The Pokemon are a mixed bag for me. Litwick and its evolutions were great, but then there were rip-offs like Bouffalant.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Don't worry, I like talking with you! Litwick and co? They've initiated me to CreepyPasta! Just know that! Under Halloween, too! Perhaps, having more technological means, the story becomes expanded and dispersive ... More similar to the real, you will agree, even if less "reassuring."

  • @TheDraughtofspades Maybe... but I fear a bigger change is being wrought....

I always liked the freedom to go to whichever town I chose, and pick and choose the order I got my badges. I'm fine with knowing where the developers would like me to go next, but I don't want that hoisted upon me, you know?

I don't know about less reassuring... maybe a little TOO reassuring....

  • @TheShayminfreak2 GF fears you choose a Gym too hard for you that moment...

    A very protective side!

  • @TheDraughtofspades Well, I doubt their reasons are so benine. I think that it should be the player's choice to choose the next gym, and if it's too hard, they'll just try another one! It's the freedom to choose that draws people into a game, not a scripted experience from beginning to end.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 I think about choosing another gym if the first chosen is too difficult.

Probably they "drive" you 'cuz there are events like the team which want to conquer the world, make money, steal Pokémon to release...

  • @TheDraughtofspades Yes, but Team Rocket had the same goals and didn't require the player to play in the exact way the developers wanted. The story with Team Rocket would nproceed when you wanted it to proceed - not the developers.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 You make me think about...And if the teams would proceed without depending on your action in the game?

XD Probably the Poké-world will be seriously in trouble 'cuz you could arrive too later...

  • @TheDraughtofspades Oh, wow - that's a really interesting idea. The game just moves on whether the player wants it to or not - that'd definitely make you feel like part of the game. You should send that to Game Freak! Haha... imagine what would happen if you let the team take over... how hard it would be to stop them....

  • @TheShayminfreak2 XDD

    There's a Game Freak mail?

Imagine you at the end decide trying stop them..Being close to their victory, your enemies would probably be stronger and more violent!

  • @TheDraughtofspades Yes. The longer you took to reach them, the greater their levels and numbers would become, and if you wait long enough, they fulfill their goals....

You can contact GF, actually, but you need to speak and read decent Japanese, which is the only language they operate with. You can contact them here:

    www0gamefreak0co0jp/hcontact0html

Because YouTube doesn't like links, replace every 0 in the link with a . and stick it in your URL bar.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Thank you very much! So adorable, like Shaymin!! XD

    Only Japanese...Titanic,but I'll try!

Can you imagine if Red was been Team Rocket's Boss as they asked him in the games?

  • @TheDraughtofspades That would be awesome! I always wanted to say yes to that, just to see what would happen, but the game answers for you.... I wonder what sort of missions you would get? Help Giovanni train the ultimate Pokemon, Mewtwo? Track down the phantom 151st Pokemon, Mew? Defend the base in the Celadon Game Corner? And perhaps fend off your rival, who would try to stop you....

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Yes with someone like Red at the Team's head, the world has only to tremble ... And so also the beloved and pompous rival .. But how can a nice guy like Oak having a grandchild so cantankerous? Perhaps it is because he is early left orphaned ..

  • @TheDraughtofspades Yes. Blue's path is a twisted one, but it's understandable that he would turn out so arrogant. His grandfather is the Pokemon expert, it's natural that he would be overconfident about his battling skills. He's probably been learning about Pokemon since the day he was born. It may also be because he was orphaned, yes....

  • @TheShayminfreak2 But his sister grew being adorable! :/

    Anyway,I still luv Blue!!

    And I support RedXDaisy Oak!!

Excuse me,my romantic side hits me slyly as Faint Attack!

  • @TheDraughtofspades I guess Oak only wanted his son to be the expert.... Maybe he was thinking that he could only have one successor....

    I like egoshipping (BlueXMisty) best.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 For me it's BlueXLeaf! XD

But also Ego is very interesting!

  • @TheDraughtofspades Yeah, BlueXLeaf is neat. I would probably prefer RedXGreen, actually, but Blue is most similar to me, in battle and adventure style, at least.

  • @TheShayminfreak2 Oh...Then you're adorable! XD

  • @TheDraughtofspades Um... thanks, I guess! Heh heh....

  • @TheShayminfreak2 ;D Excuse me sometimes I'm too sweet.

  • @TheDraughtofspades Yes, I've noticed. ;)

  • @TheShayminfreak2 :D

Do you think I can beat Red with 6 Unown lv.100 and their super-effective-against-Red's Pokémon Hidden Power? Like I write here? XD

    Or is only a suicide?
