so in that 168 hours in the week, there's obviously going to be a few accumulating things that he did against "the rules" but that all makes sense.. and if the PD is going to keep only putting those few moments on tv then of course it makes him look bad and feel bad. If he wants to leave because of that it's all good but i hope he does keep in mind what he learned the past weeks.
If he doesn't want to be painted as bad guy he should be kept the rules. It's simple. Let's see what he has done in the show. Broke the rules what he PROMISED. Then just kept making excueses and lying even in fornt of proofs. Staffs didn't do that on purpose. I know It's very hard to follow but at least he should be done like other boys. Because thoes go same to the boys too. His comments on his diary are just another excuses for this result. "Blaming someone else." Go ahead little crybaby.

Sure. 20 is not too late for change. However it'll be hard to expect these kinds of supports anymore. He'll be an adult just few months ahead, nobody will care about him beside his family. He will have to face the cold blooded society and laws. Now he should change by himself. But I don't see it will happen sooner or later. Let him do whatever he wants. When he becomes 30s and works as a navvy, he will look back those days and realize how he was so stupid. Then he'll decide another 'change'.

Yonghyun was just painted to be the bad guy in all the episodes.Can you imagine how boring it would be if there was no excitement in the show everyone following the ruels and all that bullshit.Self righteous people expecting the worst out of him so that they can point fingers at him.It is because people expect the worst out of him that is why the PD decided to show only his bad side all in the name of entertainment.Who can we blame for this?
I respect yonghyun for holding on for so long. I'm SO 100% sure the pds are bitches bts. I bet the boys are treated like crap. I'm glad he left. And I hope the others leave too. If u want to change someone, u can't punish them and invade their privacy. And though I love snsd, they were bad choices for teachers. They shouldve been ppl who would be there 24/7 in person. Snsd is too busy. And the boys even said in one ep that snsd gives them warmth that they didn't receive from anyone else.

The girls are idols they aren't going to spend time with them after the show, plus they only see them like 4 times a month at most? Plus the boys have addictions, not just habits. sorry, but the subs are really off-- first of all yonghyun went AWOL; he went home and didn't come back to the place. and what's this public goodside badshide there were no mention of this; what they said was that the psychologist/mentor person said it's best to understand yonghyun and let him have his way. yonghyun didn't really apologize, snsd didn't plead him to come back either. they were more worried about other students being effected by YH's departure
Know what to all the judgmental people understand that he has his reasons to not open up.At the end of the day after the show ends the people he has to face is not YOU its his friends and his close ones.How would he face them if he revealed everything on TV just for your entertainment.And before you take all the information you know about him from the show do a little bit more research as to why he left.
Let's be honest, there are times when he just doesn't want to cooperate and is difficult to work with, like in Episode 5 when they were doing the punishment dance practice. All he has to is behave well when the cameras are on so they can't possibly edit him into a bad character. He has more control over this than he thinks.
Shows are like this they do edit but I have not watched the show to tell, but for the girls to just say bring him back is a little disrespectful, they should wait until they get back and do it personally.

@tiffanysub14 the show is scripted. If he really wants help he can definitely get it outside of the cameras. If he can't do it in front of the cameras they should respect his wish and if they really want to help him they should do it outside of the show also.
@chouchou103 ur right, but i don't think it is scripted. yes, it somehow scripted the activities but i know for sure that snsd's heart is not scripted. i'm a mentor too, i understand this feeling when kids not listen to u. anyways, if he doesn't want to be in the show get help by snsd then why should he go out to get help. the problem is he doesn't want to change, he used to be that way. he could go ask the pd to fix it but he just gave up. i hope he will find his help like u said :)

In every reality show there will be a 'nice' person and a 'bad' person , however if he did not do any bad things for them to edit in he won't be the 'bad' guy . Coz in the first 2 ep he is sort of like the 'nice' guy with cute character . All I can said is if he didn't do anything bad they won't edit him this way
19 y/o, 3rd grade in high school in Korea. It's 2012 and he's 20 already. Most of his classmates go to college while he still acts like a douche and whines like a crying baby. Next year he'll be drafted into the army and have to serve for 26 months. Which means he has no time to be picky and he'll be fucked up. He won't be able to postpone the draft because he's not a college student. I'm a Korean guy so I can anticipate how his 26 months will be in the ROK army. LOL.

Yonghyun really leave DB. i just watched ep7 and hyoyeon is present but her student is not there, yonghyun leave the flower based that yoona and hyoyeon gave to him and also hyoyeon tag name. hyoyeon leave a message to yonghyun where she said he must take care and remain as a good person i think hyoyeon leave DB becoz on preview 9 hyoyeon is not present but yoona was present. but i had a feeling that hyoyeon is now trying his best to convince yonghyun to comeback.
it's his decision to leave and for whatever reasons that may have led to that departure..it's his right..if he really wants to change..a show like this should not be necessary, since change begins with believing in yourself that you want to do so.
on that thing about the pd not treating him right, i guess he's not the only one getting sick there...but the PDs should also look into the health of the people they're handling since they're humans after all..and that includes soshi...
I like the fact that finally Yonghyun is leaving, not because I personally hate him for no reason but because from the first time he's always be the one who not cooperative with the other boys, he always complains and lies most of times. Apparently Yonghyun said he was sick and he asked PD for medicine but they promised him and they never gave it to him for three days till he had to walk home and take some pain relievers himself.

Okay, little by little I'm understanding why he really left. Not everybody can handle being in front of a camera, broadcasting their personal life and becoming a circus animal on screen for people to judge. I would never do it, lol. Although he DID agree to the show though, but if he really couldn't take it we shouldn't judge him. He should take personal therapy and become better for himself.
I think he left because of the bad comments about him on the previous episodes . I think he saw them . I mean clearly , you guys know that he can get on YouTube and see what other people are saying about him and the others . Before you go on and start bashing Yonghyun, keep in mind that this is a TV show. No matter how much you think you know Yonghyun's character, you are only viewing it from edited footage that is chosen by producers who want ratings and will do anything to get them. If you honestly think you can fully judge his character because of it, you are being fooled by the producers and yourself.

It wasn't helping him, instead of getting mad at him think of it from his point of view for a second. They keep telling you that you can change if you try so you work hard and try to do better but all they show the audience is every time you fail or do something wrong. So I think it was for the best.
If snsd really wants him back, they should personally ask him back even if manager/company doesn't allow it. Maybe Hyoyeon and Yoona can convince him to come back. Obv the staff couldn't care less if they have him or not bc they still receive money no matter what. the translation isnt accurate which is making some of you hate on him- he didnt give up on himself, he decided to quit the dormitory living and the show because he felt publicising all of this quite sensitive and personal stuff to the public wasnt right for him, so he wanted to stop that. he didnt give up on changing, just the show, and the PD said that they discussed it together for a long time and with a psychiatrist who decided it was best for him to leave too for him to be able to improve

Yonghyun CAN change into a better person, but maybe he's not ready yet. I think that he hasn't come to the point where he's willing to get help fully, but he's still young and a good person inside so I hope one day he can become a better person. But I feel the worst for Hyoyeon and Yoona since they tried so hard. Good luck to him though!

I disagree that it is due to the show that he is leaving. Yes, indeed the staffs are imposing the rules on them harshly, but bottom-line, it is for their own good. He could have grabbed this chance to make a break with his past. Instead, he let his negative emotions get the better of him. As the saying goes, the glass can be half full or half empty depending on perceptions, unfortunately, he saw the glasses half-empty and decided to quit.

my opinion on Yonghyun is that he is a good person at heart, but he cannot let go of his lifestyle soon enough. The things the show force him to do irritates him, and that's why he couldn't stand it anymore. It really irritated me to see him be so disobedient sometimes, but i try to understand. I truly feel terrible for Hyoyeon and Yoona, because they've been trying to help him a lot, but he couldn't take it anymore. He also acted like a totally different person in front of the girls, anyway T.T
i feel bad for yoona and hyoyeon :( but i dont blame yonghyun. its incredibly hard to give up his previous type of lifestyle for the sake of a show. i actually admire him for not selling himself out even if it meant going back to a "worse" lifestyle. the step to recovery lies in himself and rushing the process evidently came out with unexpected results.
I actually don't see Yonghyun as a bad person.. just a teenager who doesn't know what he should do and grow up in a abusive father... that makes him a pitiful kid too.. Stop blaming him for anything. Don't call him a dumass for leaving "9 angels". Obviously you haven't seen them film and you don't know his back story. How would you know his pain? It's not something that could be broadcasted on air. From the first episode to now, he tried to change. Why else would they sign up for this show? Sure. 20 is not too late for change. However it'll be hard to expect these kinds of supports anymore. He'll be an adult just few months ahead, nobody will care about him beside his family. He will have to face the cold blooded society and laws. Now he should change by himself. But I don't see it will happen sooner or later. Let him do whatever he wants. Let's be honest, there are times when he just doesn't want to cooperate and is difficult to work with, like in Episode 5 when they were doing the punishment dance practice. All he has to is behave well when the cameras are on so they can't possibly edit him into a bad character. He has more control over this than he thinks.

19 y/o, 3rd grade in high school in Korea. It's 2012 and he's 20 already. Most of his classmates go to college while he still acts like a douche and whines like a crying baby. Next year he'll be drafted into the army and have to serve for 26 months. Which means he has no time to be picky and he'll be fucked up. He won't be able to postpone the draft because he's not a college student. I'm a Korean guy so I can anticipate how his 26 months will be in the ROK army. LOL.

Yonghyun really leave DB. i just watched ep7 and hyoyeon is present but her student is not there, yonghyun leave the flower based that yoona and hyoyeon gave to him and also hyoyeon tag name. hyoyeon leave a message to yonghyun where she said he must take care and remain as a good person i think hyoyeon leave DB becoz on preview 9 hyoyeon is not present but yoona was present. but i had a feeling that hyoyeon is now trying his best to convince yonghyun to comeback.

It wasn't helping him, instead of getting mad at him think of it from his point of view for a second. They keep telling you that you can change if you try so you work hard and try to do better but all they show the audience is every time you fail or do something wrong. He's right they did show him in a bad light and if after trying to be a better person all people see is your failure do you know how damning that is to your self esteem? If snsd really wants him back, they should personally ask him back even if manager/company doesn't allow it. Maybe Hyoyeon and Yoona can convince him to come back. Obv the staff couldn't care less if they have him or not bc they still receive money no matter what. the translation isnt accurate which is making some of you hate on him- he didnt give up on himself, he decided to quit the dormitory living and the show because he felt publicising all of this quite sensitive and personal stuff to the public wasnt right for him, so he wanted to stop that. he didnt give up on changing, just the show, and the PD said that they discussed it together for a long time and with a psychiatrist who decided it was best for him to leave too for him to be able to improve

no offense to the person who did the subs but that isn't 100% right.. that's not what the PD or the girls said.. just saying. cause most of the people here are just talking shit about him & yonghyun promised the PD to go see a psychologist he was promised to cause he doesn't think telling his stories & how he feels to the public isn't right for him. so he's not saying that he doesn't want to change, he's saying that he'll try to change but just not in public front of a camera.

Editing or not he got drunk, he refuses to dance. It's all him at the end of it. What good are you anyways if you're constantly breaking the rules.

I think Yonghyun really want to change deep down, I mean he wants to be a good parent to his kids in the last ep unlike his father. But I guess he felt a lot of regret towards all the bad stuff he already did so he feels like hes unable to change. Plus being in front of SNSD the Hallyu girl group its a bit pressuring to keep dropping promises made to them. I hope he does come back though I feel really bad for Hyoyeon and Yoona who tried really hard to help but now feels empty...

Yonghyun CAN change into a better person, but maybe he's not ready yet. I think that he hasn't come to the point where he's willing to get help fully, but he's still young and a good person inside so I hope one day he can become a better person. But I feel the worst for Hyoyeon and Yoona since they tried so hard. Good luck to him though!

I disagree that it is due to the show that he is leaving. Yes, indeed the staffs are imposing the rules on them harshly, but bottom-line, it is for their own good. He could have grabbed this chance to make a break with his past. Instead, he let his negative emotions get the better of him. As the saying goes, the glass can be half full or half empty depending on perceptions, unfortunately, he saw the glasses half-empty and decided to quit.

my opinion on Yonghyun is that he is a good person at heart, but he cannot let go of his lifestyle soon enough. The things the show force him to do irritates him, and that's why he couldn't stand it anymore. It really irritated me to see him be so disobedient sometimes, but i try to understand. I truly feel terrible for Hyoyeon and Yoona, because they've been trying to help him a lot, but he couldn't take it anymore. He also acted like a totally different person in front of the girls, anyway T.T

i feel bad for yoona and hyoyeon :( but i dont blame yonghyun. its incredibly hard to give up his previous type of lifestyle for the sake of a show. i actually admire him for not selling himself out even if it meant going back to a "worse" lifestyle. the step to recovery lies in himself and rushing the process evidently came out with unexpected results.

I actually don't see Yonghyun as a bad person.. just a teenager who doesn't know what he should do and grow up in a abusive father... that makes him a pitiful kid too.. I think he is too self-conscious about this bad person thing... just wish him all the best and the off-screen treatment will do him better... and our girls especially Hyo and Yoong don't be sad about this...
P.S: the PD really got great timing.. telling them the bad news right after they win an award.. lol

these episodes arent even the FULL episodes. they are just cuts of them!
so just cause episodes shows Yonghyun being bad dosent mean he's like that ALL the way through!
he obviously isnt putting in his 100% effort to actually change so......there's no point in keeping him, the only way is to just let him go.

Stop blaming him for anything. Don't call him a dumass for leaving "9 angels". Obviously you haven't seen them film and you don't know his back story. How would you know his pain? It's not something that could be broadcasted on air. From the first episode to now, he tried to change. Why else would they sign up for this show? (regardless if it's their parents, they still agreed to film) I'm disappointed and wish him the best though after his leave.
