  • The only bad thing about all the aluminum is it;s weight and if you hit something it's going to bend and not break like the plastic will. So then you will have to spend more money to get that part you bent. Just saying not trying to be a buzzkill or anything.

  • that alloy makes it so heavy :(

  • how much where the back and front shock arms

  • One day your going to get in a crash and bend 1 piece leading to bend another and so on....

    Good video though:)

  • Do the a-arms hold up to extreme beatings like the plastic, or will they bend

  • @aForkandaSpoon well after racing i went to bashing. never bent on me, however the screws did like to loosen themselves up. other then that this was a very tough machine

  • @MrFowla34 Well, the ones I would order would have the clip things on both ends and no screws, so sounds good to me

  • RPM breaks. nice truck!

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx RPM? I have ran 20 rcs with RPM gear and the only time its "" Breaks """ is in the winter when its -20 deg out. Also RPM gear is 100% Guaranteed. IF anything breaks ever just pay to ship it to RPM and they send you a new one. RPM is very good in some spots and aluminum is good to in some spots too. If you want to see show stopper check out my RC8BE FT. thats the real deal..

  • @LiveFreeOrRIP I have multiple RC with FLM arms and alloy casters as well as links and knuckles, needless to say FLM has liftime warrany and as well as no bend guarentee and if it does, they replace it... for free. Ive rolled my rustler doing over 70 mph and havent broken a part yet. ive even bent the output 3/16 inch metal shafts, but never my alloy parts

  • hey bro! are the stampede tires good at all, do they stretch like the originall ones that came with the rustler? how much were the alloy arms? i want some too, and thanks for giving me the idea of putting a sticker on the bottom it looks nice!

  • @calitvscreen they are more agressive and the dont balloon as bad. the arms i think were 20 or so.

  • how do you find the talon rear tires i think the stock ones wear down way to quickly mind you i did go on tarmac a couple times

  • @ammo1985 i didnt like them, ended up getting gladiator tires.

  • @MrFowla34 i just brought some more stock tires and only using them on the grass

  • I agree RPM is the way to go(:

  • I agree RPM is the way to go (:

  • Aluminum isnt really the smartest choice because it doesmt bend so it just puts the stresz on other parts. Get rpm!!!

  • @timgaylehughes held great for me, always did well on the track. my other rc have a combination of aluminum and PRM

  • RPM is all i have to say

  • nice vids i think i now u from hobies and stuff in leb. NH u had a mini slash and a revo u brought in to the store PLEASE REPLY IF UR THE RIGHT PERSON

  • @47chopper47 yea thats me, i have a slash 4x4 now and a stampede 2wd vxl. but yea i go to that store for parts.

  • @MrFowla34 kool i thought iv seen u before because i was watching your stamped 4x4 video. ya i have a slash 4x4 i got for christmas i love it do u take it apart and clean the barrings after u run it in snow or wet conditionns because some people say u need to otherwise they will seize up

  • @47chopper47 well i mainly drive the e-maxx i snow. i have never taken apart my maxx and it goes great. but yes it is a good idea to, longer life in the rc parts

  • @MrFowla34 ok i saw u in hobbies n stuff on halloween and ive seen u in 99n restraunt alot

  • @47chopper47 ha yea i remember. i was dressed as a nerd.

  • @MrFowla34 ya u were u had tape inbetween masking tape inbetween your glasses

  • @MrFowla34 ok i saw u in hobbies n stuff on halloween and ive seen u in 99n restraunt alot i was the kid in the in the hobbie shop

  • Absolutly beautiful car! GREAT video!

  • is that a integy shock tower?

  • @MrWelch313 yes front and rear

  • do the steering links fit the slash 4x4 and what part number

  • @1ubby im not sure, you would have to look it up. i just got the pede 4x4 and it doesnt have much on the market for upgrades yet. i know for the most part traxxas makes parts all similar for the models.

  • your pronouncing intagy in-teggy its actually in-ta-ge

  • Badass!!! If you keep adding aluminum that things going to be a tank...lol I always run rpm arms, bumper, and shock towers. This method leaves room to run everything else aluminum including the chassis without being over-weight....

  • @911dott i actualy sold it, new project is a stampede, but im going all rpm on it. might get the aluminum body though. still unsure

  • you would of been better off going with rem like i just did i paid 217 for the everything shock towers chassis bulk head all aluminum and its cheaper then what you are doing

  • Sick car dude in the process o making mine like that too just need more money ;(

  • rpm is alot better way lighter and aluminnuim makes ur car super heavy with all thoose parts

  • what a waste of money, alum sucks, i bends and changes the breaking point of the truck also it is heavy and it is expensive, not good for a truck that you plan on driving, go rpm

  • @keith179150 disagree, i raced this and once i got good at it i placed well. and yes RPM is great, but aluminum also can offer more strength.

  • @keith179150 I agree with @keith179150, RPM is more flexible, and offers more forgiveness, as opposed to aluminum, which simply transfers the stress to weaker parts.

  • all the videos of rustlers on here show big long antennas mine is inside the body

  • @jtrunfull thats because u have the 2.4 ghz version

  • i have a rustler vxl and im in the process of putting aluminum hop ups on mine. i know that rpm is better but i love the looks of aluminum

  • @TheHaydman1 well if you get FML or dynamite then aluminum is better, i will admit though, RPM is very tough and much cheaper

  • @TheHaydman1

rpm is not better...You get rpm bumper and a-arms for flex and weak points...Bulk head, tranny case, shock towers caster blocks and stearing blocks all aluminum...

  • You should see mine

  • @Gospurs10 post a vid up

  • with that motor guard can u apply the wheelie bar ontop of the motor guard or do u have to take the motor guard of to put the wheelie bar on

  • @mathew6593 you have to take the guard off, wheely bars break easy btw. unless u get the integy one it has one wheel instead of 2 and it works better

  • @MrFowla34 I agree. First day I had 3s and a wheelie bar it snapped...

  • @Killer91109 same think happened with my e-firestorm, junk haha.

  • do you drive onroad or offroad? if you drive offroad then could you please tell me what your gearing is? also what your speed and temperature is like.. thanks, nice video by the way.

  • @56fletcher i ran the stock gearing in it, just loosend the slipper clutch so the gears wouldnt break, and i did offroad. i would always run a 2s 5000mah lipo and the let my esc cool off a little, and the average speed on it would be about 35. if its on pavement then it goes a lot faster

  • how is that aluminum shock tower front holding up

  • @mathew6593 well it went a full race season with no issues, even a few bash sessions, but i sold it early this year, but it was great for me

  • nice truck! aluminum FTW!

  • how are those integy parts holding up.

and on a scale of 1-10 how much of a basher are you.

10 being giong allll out not giving a shit about the truck and raming into poles by accident lol

just want an idea of their stuff

people bash them cuz they have no phone number. but they dont have their products

    so whats good with them

  • @staticxmako uh well i ran it into wall n shit, integy holds up, but it does bend if you hit hard enough. i still have a few of the parts from my rustler on my slash, still holding up great. FLM is a better aluminum product tho.

  • haha i use my rustler for mudding!! mine has been compleatly under water several times no probs!!

  • i hate integy the parts brack to easy

  • You should get a black traxxas chassis, that's what I have and it looks so much cooler than the stock grey one.

  • Where do u get Monster stickers???

  • @gabster118 got em off of ebay

  • oh is everything on the big bore shocks aluminum inlcuding the bottom of the shock?

  • @yellowcorba1 no gotta buy those sepearately

  • I need help i bought rpm steer blocks and castor nlocks and the a-arm is stock so anyway the rpm steering blocks keep scraping against the a-arms any idea why?

  • @yellowcorba1 Use The Traxxas Aluminium Castor Block + Traxxas Aluminium Steer Block + RPM A-Arms = No Problem........Its Because I'm Using That Parts To...Thanks.

  • nicccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccce

  • thanks man. still looks like that too. after i clean it anyway

  • Really nice rustler u got there. It looks so much better with some alu on. great job man

  • thanks, this drained my bank haha. i got rpm parts for when the alu bends, my e-revo has parts coming haha

  • just my opinion but i don't like all of those decals on your body.

  • whats wrong with em? makes it stand out. i want a shopstopper body

  • oh ok. that was just my opinion

  • cool im getting a lipo soon to hopefully

  • for about $350 u could get all aluminum

  • nah, going lipo soon. i actualy am racing it now and going RPM

  • thanks for comment on my video. nice rustler mate! i dont think ill do any arm upgrades im not sure yet lol.cos at moment im upgrading my scrapped out 2.5r engine that died in my revo im upgrading it for 3.3. but then ill do some more mods on my vxl lol i got some 30 series wheels wrapped in road rage tires for the rear at the moment . front come in stock soon lol. should handle wel. where are you from mate ?

  • gas is too costly and messy for me. those tires should handle very well, im in the US VT.

no tracks round her though, im racing in NH

  • Nice, looks good!

  • u should have went rpm for the a-arms. those integy are gunna bend after ur first bash, rpm has a warranty for life that replaces any broken part for free and they are really cheap. a-arms are only 8-9 dollars for 2, shock towers 8 dollars, bumper 6 dollars, casters 6 dollars, but the only thing i like aluminum is the camber links and shock towers

  • yeah some other people where telling me that as well. so what im going to do is whatever snaps im going to buy thr rpm part to replace it.
