i have the same problem as yours, with a Compaq C300, i will check the video cable as soon as possible and tell you what happened... what about your "Toshiba"? Did you try with the Video Cable ?

its the ribbon connecting the screen to the board, its loose and just needs to be connected properly, simple fix

Ok this is one of two problems, a faulty graphics card, a loose wire or connection (most likely as it happens when you move the hinge).
