I was at that race too! we were in the infield between turns 3 and 4 sitting on top of our 1946 Chevy panel truck. I could see Bobby flipping end over end. He was okay and finished 21st that day. Richard Petty won both Rockingham races that year.

@goatboy43 I went to my first race last year at Charlotte and i wish more than anything i could travel back in time and see some of these old cars in action. How cool would it be to be able to see Alan Kulwicki in his Hooters 7, or Adam Petty at Texas in 2000 you name it

Allison had a container of Coke behind his seat, and the bottles broke during that crash. Temporarily blinded him.

There was one other flip at this track, sometime during the '80s Jerry Bowman flipped a car at this track during a race.
