  • Awww, she has been gone for 4 years now and is still missed by many!

  • i liked that second photo

  • Your video drives home the transience of life almost more than anything else I've seen. She was a youthful, vibrant beauty only yesterday, it seems. And now...

  • NICELY DONE. THANKS

  • She was always so easy on the eyes. I remember watching her on the Bob Newhart show and being mezmerized by her.

    R.I.P Suzanne. You were loved.

  • This is a beautiful tribute to Suzanne Pleshette who is / was a favorite of mine. She will be missed. Love ya, Suzanne. :)

  • Suzanne PLeshette ... There were fine and beautiful actresses before her ... And there will be more to come ... But Ms. Pleshette was unique ... I won't ever forget those dazzling eyes of hers ! ...

  • @mirrenfan2 Do you remember a medical drama called Nightingales from the late '80s that Suzanne starred in? It was on NBC for only a short time - I also remember that Chelsea Field, Kristy Swanson and Susan Walters were in it as well.

  • I did not know she had died!! so sad and only 70 as well.Nice tribute.

  • A very talented and beautiful woman.

  • Very moving tribute to a wonderful woman who make this a better place .

Those who got to know her were lucky and they know it. Thank you for posting !

  • Very, very nice. thanks.

  • gorgeous. raven haired beauties like her and liz taylor were so gorgeous to behold.

  • Sadly, she has been gone for 3 years this month...

  • Suzanne was a gal with a lot of class & absolutely gorgeous all of her life !

  • Suzanne Pleshette was a beautiful, breathtaking and a gloriously gifted actress. Although known more for comedy, she was marvelous dramatic actress, as well. She shone in everything she did - a lovely lady that I grew up adoring since the 1970s. This is a fabulously touching tribute to a superstar. A lady of her gracious calibre just does not exist in today's so called entertainment.

  • @Leftofway

I agree completely! I fell in love with her in 1965, when she played in Rome Adventure. I've never forgotten her or our song..Al di la...She was such an extraordinary and beautiful lady!

  • My impossible dream¡¡

  • she was so absolutely hot in the birds

  • Man she was beautiful...so sad. Rest In Peace Sue... :(

  • Absolutely adored her. Fine tribute. SHe made Tippi Hedren look like a boy in The Birds.

  • She was more beautiful than Marilyn Monroe !!!

  • Too young. Died too soon. Great babe, too

  • Nice job.

  • You did a nice job and even managed to make the blandest of bands, Bread, listenable. Pleshette was a fine actress.

  • Thanks so much! :)

  • You're welcome. I highlighted your video at our site, if you'd like to see it (we did a showcase on Pleshette this weekend and your video wrapped things up). You have to go to my youtube channel and click my website link though, as I can't insert links here. Cheers.

  • Great pics and a great song for Suzanne.

I fell in love with her after I saw The Birds, then a disney flick called The Ugly Dachshund, and the western Nevada Smith with steve mcqueen. Just started watching Newhart on dvd and she is so funny! A very classy and pretty lady. I was very sad when she died. Rest in peace!

  • Too bad there isn't any pictures from a Key party from the 70's, or William Shatners Trailer.

  • beautiful but underrated.but not by me..i will miss her presence in this world.....just to have you back again XXXX r.i.p.................a proper star.................

  • Thank you for posting this. I always thought she was a great actress and soooo gorgeous with that porcelain skin, those blue eyes and shiny black hair. I love her since the movie the "Birds". Rest in peace pretty lady...

  • Wow, was she ever a beauty - and what a voice! She was great on the Johnny Carson show - really beautiful, mature, smart and funny. She also reminded me of a woman I knew, her voice in particular was almost exactly that of this other woman.

Makes me want to cry over her passing.

  • She was a great actress, artist, beauty, personality, dear friend ,and so much more. I miss you Suzy. Thank you for always being there for me and in my heart you still are.

  • She was beauty! and a good actress.

  • is susan

    linda carters (wonder woman) mother

a few times i thought it was linda carter i was looking at

  • No. She didn't have any bio-children.

  • I just read that she was the first choice for Catwoman. That would have been cool!

And if there are any Venture Bros. fans out there, is it possible that she was (along with Jackie O, of course) one of the models for Dr. Girlfriend?

  • i used to have a crush on her in the 70's

  • Suzanne Pleschette was a real woman, beautiful, gracious, and intelligent. I met her for a moment, and it was so very apparent.

  • That was stunning thank you

  • You're welcome! Thanks for watching. :)

  • All of the photos of Suzanne are great, but where was the photo of her in the brown dress with her right arm over head taken from, a western movie or a photo? The photo I am talking about is in the first part of the tribute.

  • Thanks for watching! I believe that photo may be a screencap from "The Birds" but don't quote me lol! :)

  • Thanks alot for your response!

  • You're welcome! Thanks for watching! :)

  • She and Bob (and that stellar cast!) brought such fun and laughs to my family in the 70s! Brilliant!

    JM

  • hen I was a boy (I was born in 1965) I had three big crushes: Nancy Wilson, Diane Carrol, and Suzanne Pleshette. My wife of ten years looks an awful lot like Suzanne Pleshette, she was a gorgeous and by all accounts a very funny woman.

  • Beautiful. If you're interested in enjoying more of this lovely woman, YouTube's five-part interview with her under the Archive of American Television is informative, touching and hilarious.

  • I'm glad you like it! I've actually seen that interview but thanks for mentioning it! :)

  • One of the most beautiful and seductive women ever!

  • Suzanne Pleshette will be missed ten years ago she did the voice of Zira from The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride.

  • oh hell....didnt know this lovely woman had passed on,watched her in countless films over the years, sadly here in the UK her death wasnt in the papers or news.rip Suzanne Pleshette.

  • Poor her,I could name a few characters she should of voiced.

  • I've seen the video twice now, moved a little more each time by both the music and the woman. She added depth, lack of pretension, compassion and real sensuality to a world that sadly needs all four.--Tom Reilly

  • Thanks for the lovely comment! :D

  • Nice Tribute to Suzanne man! I'm about to put up my own tribute.

    Very nice! =)

  • Thanks! BTW, I'm a girl. :D

  • Oh, sorry!

  • I worked with Suzanne's dad in the 1980s. He was a wonderfully kind man. I talked to Suzanne all the time. She was lovely as well, not pretentious like some others I talked to there; very down to earth. She will be missed.

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • Lucky sob. :(

  • I grew up in the 1950/ 1960 and I thought suzanne was the girl I wished lived next door, she was sexy but you thought she was a very nice person which as I have got older is more inportent, a great loss.

  • Thanks for commenting! :D

  • Very nice job, she was one of our favorites, on the old Bob Newhart show....Those were the days! Great comedy!

    Thanks,EJK1960

  • You're welcome! I'm glad you liked it. :D

  • Thanks for the video , you did a great job. It's appreciated!

  • Thank you! :D

  • I didn't hear about her passing until just now. That's too bad.

  • That was fantastic. That song brings back so many memories. Yours is a touching tribute to a truly beautiful woman who remained beautiful throughout her whole life. Your pictures frame her accomplishments very well. Such a sad passing for her many fans. She epitomized the kind of woman men wanted to marry in her sitcom with Bob Newhart, in the same way Helen Hunt would years later in Mad About You. Suzanne and Tom RIP. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the lovely comment! I'm so glad you liked the video!

  • i love it! she was a beautiful and talented actress. wonderful song! i had never heard it before but now i love it and i cant get it out of my head!

  • I'm so glad you like it!

  • The song was "Everything I Own" by Bread. It came out around 1970-1972. It is a very beautiful song about the death of a parent.

  • Thank you for the memories. I loved Suzane as Emily Hartley. What a beautiful classy lady!! Every woman wanted that shag haircut she wore. Beautiful song choice!!

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!

  • I've been a fan of Suzanne Pleshette for most of my life. I grew up watching the Bob Newhart show and I loved her as Emilty Hartley. This video is a lovely tribute to her. RIP Suzanne Pleshette.

  • Thank you for the lovely comment!

  • You're welcome! :)

  • Who is Zira?

  • I've only just found out she has died. One of Hollywood's most beautiful and underrated actresses.

  • gone but never forgetten......Great American Actress......

  • I always liked her, she was special. I wish I had known her personally. She seemed to be a very interesting person. Thanks for the memories.

  • You're welcome!

  • I watched her on TV and thought to myself that I want to marry a woman just like her.

    It was a sweet fantasy.

  • I never watched Newhart, but I loved her in The Birds. It's unfortunate she didn't become a bigger star, as she was certainly unique in her talents.

I assume she smoked, which is too bad. But a beautiful tribute nonetheless. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • THANKS for posting this nice montage. Suzanne was so many things, classy, funny, sultry, BEAUTIFUL. SO sad to lose her when she was only 70......

  • I'm glad you liked it!

  • I am amazed at how quickly the internet community, and most particularly the author of this montage, can react to a real event. I am only a member of the vast audience, so I am surprised at how genuinely saddened I am by Suzanne and Tom's deaths. I can't help but think that Suzanne would be so surprised and even awed by the comprehending appreciation you have of her work and persona. All through your effort I kept thinking - Damn, she outa see this! Thanks

  • You're welcome! Thanks for the lovely comment!

  • Suzanne was a professional, hard working woman. She was so beautiful, and I was fortunate to know her briefly through work. She surprised me once by kissing me right on the mouth- like a friend, not romantic. I told her I was going to throw stuffed birds [Hitchcock aired the night before] at her when she came to my office, but the party store hadn't opened yet- she laughed. Sweet dreams Suzanne...

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • Suzanne was a beautiful woman and your tribute made me cry... thanks

  • I'm glad you liked it!

  • I did a tribute video also but you did a wonderful job on this video great work. She will be missed I loved Suzanne Pleshette. She was a great actress.

  • Thanks!! I saw your video last night. It's good.

  • very touching...i liked her very much...some called her " the poor mans elizabeth taylor"...i prefer to think that she was in a class all her own...farewell suzanne...we will miss you

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • perhaps more accurately "the thinking man's elizabeth taylor"...if not "the e.t. for those with a sense of humor"...!

  • I'm glad you liked it!

  • hats off to suzanne ,and thanks for the video.very touching.

  • Very nice tribute to a very deserving lady. Beautiful and appropriate song as well!

  • Thanks for the great tribute. It has given me so much joy to watch. You really seemed to capture her essence. Too bad you didn't see more of her work.

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked the tribute!

  • mirrenfan2 you are welcome to check out profile at your convenience and time. i am new to you tube and do not know how to share you tube music video's outside of other members email addresses.

  • Suzanne and Troy in "Rome Adventure"... youth personified. Icons of our generation. Both gone now. Mortality seems to loom larger for those of us who were teens in the 60s and remember Suzanne's early career. She had poise, beauty and brains. Nice work on the tribute, Margaret. So long, Suzanne.

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • RIP Suzanne

  • Thank You Lord for Suzanne and the many gifts of laughter she gave us. Thank You mirrenfan2 for this excellent posting.

  • You're welcome!

  • What a wonderful Lady !

  • Dear Margaret,

What a lovely tribute. You captured Ms. Pleshette's gift for celebrating life, and that's comforting. She was a gem, and may we learn by example.

  • Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

  • Great tribute video.

I was sad when I heard of her death Sunday morning. She was the epitome of classy, elegant, funny, attractive, and lady like. I loved her in Rome Adventure and the scene where she cries towards the end was heartbreaking.

    RIP

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • RIP SUZANNE YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED

  • Thank you for this tribute. I was saddened to hear of Suzanne's passing. I always enjoyed her in everything she did. A real woman of style and grace...and that killer smile.

Another of the "classics" gone from the world.

Again...Thanks for such a nice tribute.

  • You're so welcome!

  • Thank you so much for this beautiful video,it is a fitting tribute to a wonderful actress and lady. I too, was a fan, from the first time I saw Rome Adventure as a teenager until her tribute to Bob Newhart last year. She will be missed by many, including me. Thanks again

  • You're welcome! I really haven't seen much of Suzanne's work. I'm 27, so I only Know her from "The Birds", shown on AMC, and "The Bob Newhart Show" and "Newhart" from Nick at Nite. I love the scene with her in the series finale of "Newhart"!

  • Thanks for posting this touching tribute to one of the most beautiful actresses to appear on screen.

  • You're welcome!

  • Thank you. I was a big fan of Susanne Pleshette. She had a face you didn't forget, but then very quickly you noticed how she grabbed onto a role and made it her own. She said she was an actress, not a star. I think she was one of the few who managed to be both. Thank you again for this tribute. The music was perfect; the pictures, magical.

  • Thanks for the nice comment! She was very unique looking, wasn't she.

  • You're welcome! Thanks for the comment!

  • Thanks for honoring the memory of Suzanne Pleshette. Very sincere, beautiful and touching.

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • Aww, she looked so happy with her husband Tom at 2:51. Thanks for the touching tribute.

  • You're welcome! Thanks for commenting!

  • Beautiful video! My mother also died at the age of 70 from lung cancer, 14 years ago. Unlike Suzanne, my mom was not a smoker. Second-hand got her.

Thanks for the tribute. Goodbye Suzanne!

  • Thanks for the comment! I'm sorry about your mother.

  • Nice work, mirrenfan2. Your effort here is much appreciated. Certainly Suzanne Pleshette was a cut above most actresses, and your video offers tantalizing hints as to why audiences found her so appealing.

  • Thank you very much! Believe it or not, I only spent 4 hours on the video. I thought it wouldn't be very popular because it was so hastily made. I'm glad I was wrong!

  • GREAT job, thanx!!!!

  • You're welcome! I'm glad you like it!

  • Very nicely done. Thank you.

  • You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it!

  • very nicely done. R.I.P. Ms. Pleshette.

  • Thanks!

  • It's great to see her in all the roles leading-up to The Bob Newhart Show. A very beautiful woman who will be missed.

  • Thanks for commenting!

  • Great tribute, she was hauntingly beautiful in The Birds, and the wife you would love to have in the Bob Newhart Show.

  • Thanks! This is just lovely!
