First..Obama is only rolling back loopholes to where they were under Clinton. The vast majority of small businesses and individuals will pay less. Those who still fall over the 250k after payroll, interest,reinvestment, and a host of other things will only pay about 3% more...There will also be incentives for hiring people in the US and giving them health care.Also if you actually say the full Obama talk with Joe you would have heard him say they weren't going to touch capitol gains.

Let me attempt to explain, because it sounds to me (I may be wrong) that you believe regressive taxes and trickle down economics works. History proves otherwise.

1: No one is proposing increasing taxes on small buisnesses. That is not a good idea. The amount of small buisnesses that make 250k net is very minute. Obama's idea is to CUT taxes on 95% of them and giving a 3k tax cut for every new employee hired by a small buisness. Also, subsidizing healthcare allows for there to be quality jobs.

Obama's proposal will increase taxes on all small corporations. Also too, elimination of something you probably call a loophole & a jiggering of something a business calls a write off. Stretching the number of years to get a deduction for purchasing machinery & equipment will push more businesses into that higher taxation ($205K) class.
