if you give enemas with your child up on top of the table it will be a lot easier on you back how often do you give a high enema to him? my daughter got a good enema at least twice a month sometimes more. are you giving him more water now that he is older? he should probably be able to take about a quart i would think
thanks for your suggestions but I think I will stick with what works for him now. And here where I live tap water is just fine as long as you don't use a water softener.
seems like you are hanging the bag real high...we were told the it should only be about 18" to 2 feet above the patient's bottom. Perhaps part of his non compliance/cooperation is that the pressure is to high and is causing a lot of pain. But again, not sure what the people in Cin say about that.
when I don't hang it high enough the gravity bag doesn't work right. His non complience is only in the initial insertion of the cathater other than that he is complient.
yes it sure does differ by the size of the patient. I kinda guessed what might work for my son's size based on the amounts that others were using that were his same weight.

you are suppose to use distilled water.
