I'm a laker fan and I love Lebron. Haven't seen nothing like him ever! But I must say Lebron will take the blame if Miami doesn't win it all. He won't recieve full credit if they win it all. I feel sorry for him because he has tremendous potential to even surpass Kobe, but after the decision he made. Kobe is in a league of his own, because he is the last of the mohicans. @Koolakobs Wade is the leader they can look up to but in a few years once LeBron gets some chemistry going he will also be a leader and a big part of the franchise. Just because you're not the best player on the court doesn't mean you can't be leader. Wade will always be the main leader as long as he contributes to the team in the locker and the games. Wade is still one of the best ever when he retires.
your right wade deserve the credit if they win in the finals because it's his team, but what I was saying for Lebron you might as well erase his first 7 years in the league. Kobe "Bean" Bryant is the best player in the NBA and has been since Jordan. Although I do think Jordan is the best player ever, i believe Kobe is the best scorer the NBA has ever seen. Lebron to me is the best athlete ever who happened to play @ a later age but should never be compared to a legend like Kobe. I feel Lebron is gonna win championships in Miami w/ Wade and Bosh but he's doing something that the all-time greats didn't do. No one never won w/o star-help but usually the biggest star attracts others, not follows. LBJ basically lost tug-of-war for bosh so he leaves his solar system to orbit D-Wade w/ Bosh. If game 7 in the Finals is what you're talking about, the man was completely drained. He still has a broken finger, blown knee, sprained ankle, and back problems. He did go insane the other 6 games especially in Boston w/o help. He had to come back too soon in the reg. season to help his team. It's also called a team effort you can't win a ring w/o a great team. Also the guy is 31 and arguably the best. He has the highest b-ball IQ and the best work ethic the game has ever seen

You can't compare 4 GAMES at the END of the season w/ the implication that the CAVS held a comfortable record lead, were able to rest key players, and had monitored the starter's minutes. When Kobe was injured, it was during the post-allstar break where teams had to elevate their sync to get a flow toward March/April.
If you wanna argue stats, Lebron may have even surpassed Kobe. But as an overall player(transcending stats), someone whom I want leading my team, demonstrate unbridled confidence to take over games, & show an unrelenting drive to win, my money's on Kobe. @Koolakobs Wade is the leader they can look up to but in a few years once LeBron gets some chemistry going he will also be a leader and a big part of the franchise. Just because you're not the best player on the court doesn't mean you can't be leader. Wade will always be the main leader as long as he contributes to the team in the locker and the games. Wade is still one of the best ever when he retires.

If you put Lebron or MJ with 2 seven footers, Ron Artest, Robert Horry etc.... it would be lights out. There is no excuse for losing 2 titles if you are so much like MJ.

You say Kobe has 5 rings but how he got them wasnt by him alone it was by this teammates. So thats why the way he got his rings he cant be compared to Jordan either. I feel Lebron is gonna win championships in Miami w/ Wade and Bosh but he's doing something that the all-time greats didn't do. No one never won w/o star-help but usually the biggest star attracts others, not follows. LBJ basically lost tug-of-war for bosh so he leaves his solar system to orbit D-Wade w/ Bosh. This is all cool for Wade but LBJ is the bigger star so this isn't supposed to happen. and when he wins he does it with a fantasy team of 3 of the top 8 players and puts a cap on his skill

If game 7 in the Finals is what you're talking about, the man was completely drained. He still has a broken finger, blown knee, sprained ankle, and back problems. He did go insane the other 6 games especially in Boston w/o help. He had to come back too soon in the reg. season to help his team. It's also called a team effort you can't win a ring w/o a great team. Also the guy is 31 and arguably the best. He has the highest b-ball IQ and the best work ethic the game has ever seen

@tuneinwatchit dude i understand hes a great player and his physical condition wasnt very good. but the point is, he still won without much contribution. one thing i will say is that if lebron played with broken finger, he would not be as good as kobe is with a broken finger. but lebron relies on athleticsm and hopefully he devolops a different type of game in the future when he gets to 30 or above. but anyway, if lebron played the way kobe did that game, they would loose every game.

He had to them score at least 36 a game to have them in contention for the game. @tuneinwatchit O_O uhh ok i got lost at the end there, i didnt talk about threatning or anything like that so im kinda confused. but im totallyh an unbiased person. as u can tell im from north carolina so my home team is the bobcats. they dont have a superstar so i give every all star the same chance. Kevin Durant in my opinion is a young rising star but takes most of the shots. dwight is a huge defender but in offence, hes not a huge threat il even say lebron relies on athleticsm to play.

Okay you may argue with Lebron has better stats, thats because HE's the TEAM. He basically does everyone else's job for them. He has to play 1 on 5 every game of course he has better stats because he always has the ball and he plays more mins. Kobe is on a functional team getting those numbers and only dominates the ball in clutch situations.He had more GWs[6] this yr than LBJ has in his career. He has the best mid-range game ever, sick dribbling, fluid passes, and better 3 pt shot than him.

We all know Kobe had the numbers for MVP many seasons but thats the way it is. And LBJ won 2[best record] although 08-Wade & 09-Durant were more deserving. Main diff. between Kobe and Lebron is Kobe has a mental switch that he can turn on even when he's performing bad, Lebron's more consistent he finishes the way he starts. Kobe is the most skilled player in the league w/ no help from strength,size, jumping ability. Lebron is talented but mainly because he's a freak of nature

I think Kobe is the Best in the league and this is why. Let me throw out the obvious he has 5 rings and 2 finals MVPs. People say he got them because of shaq yes but vice versa shaq needed him. Kobe wasn't in his prime when shaq came over he was a beginner and rising star at best. When pippen came over for Jordan he was in his prime so he won FMVP . Kobe'sin his prime; he won FMVP the last times he won. the MVp thing isn't foolproof because it goes to the guy with the better team

The greatness of a player can only be seen not recorded or put into a stat sheet. when lebron didnt play the last couple games of the season his team couldnt even beat the pacers. but kobe shot terribly and wasted lakers posession in 2010 game 7 but they Still one in a championship game!!! explain that.

@mrsarechega lebron dosnt hit tough shots?!? are you kidding me! did you not see game 2 against bulls or game 3 against celtics! he made nearly every tough shot he took. and even game 6 against celtics he hit those 2 nearly half court 3s to cut their once 20 pt lead to 4. Lebron also isnt a shooter. hes a lane driver that pulls up when opponents back off of him. kobe is a mid range shooter. their two totally different aspects. you dont say lebron is better since he has better verticle and etc.

Kobe won his first finals MVP until 30. and this year in game 7 everyone knows he sucked and couldnt shoot at all. yet they one a huge decisive game. he has pau gasol, the best low post big men in the league. he has ron artest(fierce defender and physical player) and he hit huge shots in game 7. fisher who always hits the clutch 3s. bynum who is the reason why lakers have size advantage.

@northcarolinaname He may shot poorly, but 10 pts in the 4th quarter, especially in a game like that, and 15 rebounds doesn't mean he "sucked." Pau played poorly too shooting 6-16. It was overall a team effort, but Kobe willed his team by constantly attacking the Celtic D and drawing contact.
MVP's don't mean anything "winner" wise, since it's based on popular sports writer consensus.

Likely. Lebron gets most of his points in the paint/short mid-range, and missing that many shots would be very detrimental. I wouldnt say they would definately lose, though; Lebron had a great team [Two years in a row w/ the best record in the NBA]

@Oquendo16 well yes kobe was dominant for the whoe series so i guess he deserved mvp. but my point is just that he had a stronger supporting cast. kobe has a better career than lebron. but thats not my point. my point is that as of now, they are both similar in greatness. and he does not have a great team that will be proven this season. mo was way to inconsisten with shooting. antawn couldnt shoot worth anything, shaq was just a fail and a disapointment.

@northcarolinaname I have to disagree, Lebron had a great team. You don't have the best record in the NBA for two straight years and call that a fluke. Although, I'd agree that the Jameson thing screwed everything up, especially when Z was playing pretty well during the season. Kobe has higher quality players, but I'd rather have the players that play together, then better players. During playoff time, LBJ doesn't appear to show the instinct to do w/e it takes to win akin to Kobe.

You can't compare 4 GAMES at the END of the season w/ the implication that the CAVS held a comfortable record lead, were able to rest key players, and had monitored the starter's minutes. When Kobe was injured, it was during the post-allstar break where teams had to elevate their sync to get a flow toward March/April.

If you wanna argue stats, Lebron may have even surpassed Kobe. But as an overall player(transcending stats), someone whom I want leading my team, demonstrate unbridled confidence to take over games, & show an unrelenting drive to win, my money's on Kobe. Part of being the best is showing leadership, maturity, & IQ, which is a big part of my definition as the best player in the NBA; Lebron has shown me neither. Wouldn't you say the best player constitutes a physically AND MENTALLY skilled one?
