  • Actually, Calum wasn't in the books until he had been in the series,...Herriott wrote him in the last book, but he was very different. Handlebar mustache, etc. I found that interesting as I read the books for the 2nd time in 20 years,...the first time,...Herriott was alive, and I hadn't seen the series, the second time,...Herriott had passed and I was watching the series, it was really cool.

  • was callum made up?? coz he is in the books??? im confused?!

  • They should have given a small tribute to Mary Hignett who played the wonderful Mrs Hall who died 3 years before i was born..The housekeepers that came afterwards, even Jean Heywood as Mrs Alton paled in comparison..Although i love her in When The Boat Comes In as Bella Seaton..Why oh why don't they make television like this anymore?..Some of the best shows were made before i was born..Glad we have satellite TV and DVD's though, unlike back in the 70s and 80s.

  • @fuck192ass Having a bad day eh?

  • Omg! That last part about having the arm up the cow's ... oh my, I couldn't stop laughing! Wonderful show. Wonderful documentary. Perfect. Thanks.

  • Really enjoyed this..thank you so much for sharing! I've loved James Herriot ever since I was a child. :)

  • THanks so much for uploading. I must have missed this when it was shown. Lovely to see the actors now.

  • I know the man with his dog at 5:25 Thats Rio Fanning. I used to take care of his mother. One of the nicest people you could ever meet.

  • Have you got the story "sleeping partners"? I have looked for this all over and I cannot find it.It has a section where James has to get into a thick rubber calving suit and i think its hilarious.

  • @rubberdc That episode is on youtube. I don't know if you can get it in your country. I'm in america, and I can see it here.

  • @rubberdc I know it is uploaded on Dailymotion.

  • la mejor serie del mundo... desde venezuela

  • What a wonderful documentary, having read all the books & watched all the episodes on recently purchased dvd's this is a fantatic insight to behond the scenes & its grat to see the actors speaking so fondly as they reminisce. Thank you for sharing.

  • wish it ran on my tv screens.

  • Whatever the in and outs, Robert Hardy was a fantistic actor

  • I wish they wouldn't do that!

i.e.ruin the end if a programme by reducing the picture size and talking over the sound with adverts for the next programme!

    Really spolis the mood.

  • This really isn't the place for political activism, so don't bother again.

  • Thanks for that!

I'm currently watching the series on Yesterday.

Starting from Episode 1. Some of it brought tears to my eyes - I lived on a North Riding farm during the war.

  • I'm also watching the series on Yesterday, I have recorded some of them and might upload them onto another YouTube account at some point

  • Thank for putting up this great documentary. I grew up with this series and I loved it and it's been a huge success over here in Germany, too. Here we know it as "Der Doktor und das liebe Vieh" .. (means something like "The Doc and the beloved animals") ;)

  • Greets from a Yank in Japan . My fave TV series bar none ! Thank you so much for uploading the documentary . BTW - I've been to Herriot Country - spent 2 weeks there - and went to Askrigg and had my pic taken in front of the house that was used in the series !

  • That's all right - actually I recorded this to test my PC could record the TV - but I'm glad I kept it and posted it up here! I've not yet been to 'Herriot Country' (the closest I've got is Derbyshire!) but I do want to go one day!

  • Aww, thanks for this! (all 3 parts) I discovered All Creatures about 5 years ago. The chemistry between Peter Davison and Robert Hardy made it an instant classic. I was so much in awe of their acting that I was inspired to take drama courses at college.

  • Only 84 episodes after 12 years? Wish there could be more

  • You can watch ALL the episodes instantly via your computer on Netfix. That's the only reason I signed up :)

  • where can i watch the actual episode????

  • I don't know whether any ACG&S episodes have been put up on YouTube, if anyone wants to watch them I suggest hiring or buying them off the internet. I do have some on DVD myself (specially burned by a friend, not bought before anyone asks!) but I do not have any software that can copy them and so I can't post them up here! :-(

  • Thanks, for posting the final part!
