Effectivement, il s'agit ici de travail technique plutôt qu'un tango d'émotion, d'un tango comme possibilité infinie. Ne faut-il pas dépasser le stade technique et arriver à danser, au lieu de faire des pas?
I prefer the close tango embrace...but I also sometimes loosen it and then close it again. I am quite sure this is tango. Remember this is a workshop and it is often useful to make sure you don't rely on your partner to help you keep your balance when learning new techniques.
To dancers who have never taken a workshop from Fabian and Carolina,
At the end of every class, Fabian will ask ask the dancers to get out their cameras and film them as they demonstrate the excercises covered in that session. Not many teachers are willing to do that.
Just because it looks effortless, doesnt mean that its easy! This is Fabian and Carolina displaying how tango can be danced in a casual style. Experts at work.
And if you think "perita en la Viruta" is better...post a video, this I want ot see!!

that was just a demo at the end of a class, it was meant to be repetitive and emotionless!
it's harder to make a good connection in open embrace, but when that happens it's much more beautiful than milonguero!!!
if you need to embrace somebody closely to have feelings while dancing, check those feelings again...

The movement is actually effortless, but learning to do it like that is a lot of work! This is why I'm love Fabian's; he shows how effortless it is.
