  • Barbara Allan is an English folk song, there are claims to it being both English and Scottish. It travelled to America and the best version I have ever heard is by Cassie Franklin with Southern Brew, and I am English. I personally dislike this track, not because of the accent argument which is ridiculous at best, but because of the country and western backing track, which I dislike, it's all a matter of opinion.

  • ...as opposed to all whiney and british? It's a whiney song! And this particular rendition is a little more upbeat than most I've heard.

  • cant handle the american accent

  • what DOES an american accent sound like?

it's kind of impossible for me to tell.. xDDD

  • its an english folk song... yet its all whiney and yank :(

  • oh...
