You mentiouned overall A ranking in all levels, you mean, all levels separate or 8th heist with 1-7 levels. And did you managed to complete 8th heist with lazy sunday?
I'm pretty sure it was unintentional, but having a math problem at the beginning of the level is ingenious. Every time I failed the level and had to restart, I'd be RED with NINJA RAGE, but having to do menial algebra diffused my rage such that I didn't end up smashing anything.
This level is a perfect example of one of the things I really don't like about this game. The guards are dumber than they are in Thief.
It's not dark or anything, the light in the labs are bright. They will look RIGHT AT YOU and wonder what it is they're seeing. If you then walk in a door, or jump floors or something, and they're WATCHING you do it, they'll assume it was their imagination or something.
I mean that the reality of the game is compromised. It sort of makes sense with cameras because maybe they're time/motion activated.
But in the reality of the game, a guard will look at a person in perfect laboratory light, and will watch them walk through a door, and will WONDER what they just saw.
Have you ever walked past a person in broad daylight and wondered if they were really there? So why do the guards do it all the time? No realism left.
I'm surprised you haven't commented on the guards passing between you and the wall while wall-hugging. Not to mention Trilby is constantly dropping from the ceiling, sometimes from multiple storeys up. You'd think that'd be a bit noisy... or lethal. Oh, and have you noticed he can see several rooms at once? It's like the guy's got x-ray vision or something! Games aren't supposed to be a perfect reconstruction of reality, they're supposed to be fun.
Those are irrelevant. The focus of the game is stealth -- avoiding being seen. Whether the jumping or wall-hugging is well-animated on a 2D pixelated game doesn't concern me. You fall from greater heights in Portal, and no one minds.
What bothers me is the focus of the game -- stealth -- is poorly represented when someone can see you in bright light and watch you go through a door, and not immediately call an alarm. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great game, I just hate that part of it.
add al 3 numbers and he got 421 btw can u buy all the stuff? cuz im not gonna buy the thing with guards and sugar rush to my ideas theyre a waste of cash
Some of the later ones are very useful - if you get an overall A ranking in all the levels you receive the "rain suit", which makes you invisible in mid lighting and allows you to hide in full light by wall hug. And apparently you get one for Trilby Ranking the bonus level that removes the end level conditions, allowing you to trigger as many alarms as you want letting you use the tazer whenever you want.
yup the last suit is a hard one ^^ by the way about level 4 or so the punnishment i think its a good idea keeps you active ât first i failed-wasnt paying attention then i failed again forgot to press x and then i succeeded btw youre awesome can you post how to get all costumes?
If you mean the "menace to society" suit, you only need to Trilby rank missions 1-7. I've got it and I haven't managed to get a Trilby rank on the bonus level yet (I keep missing loot...).

What's the MATH question anyway? I'm just given three numbers.
MATHEMATICALLY ILLITERATE CHILDREN CAN NO LONGER ENJOY TRILBY!

I'd love to know how I'm supposed to know which wire to cut other than by guessing and by recalling in a prior attempt...
Jonatron101 3 years ago
You have to write it down or memorise it. It's a gameplay flaw.

you're supposed to get the electrician skill

I must have never got that skill.
Does it have a vague description?

I think you're complaining too much, the cameras are insane... if you get seen for more than a half a second you get an alarm

Yeah great. Cameras activate after a time.

Geez, that level doesn't look hard at all after seeing someone with Reasonable Doubt play through it.
Guess I'd better start stocking my RP.
