  • Did you Put Some soundproofing material inside it? where?

  • I feel like an ass.. I posted on the wrong Vid.. But still lots a great one..

  • Just wanted to say Great Vid.. Took me about an hour to scale the design to build this box.. And about 6hours to build.. It sounds AMAZING!!! The dimensions I used were based on a 10"x10" panel for an 8" sub. Starting there I came up with the approx. Of a 10"x12"x28" box. I will be using this for my Home Theater. I will be making a twin to it for the other side of the room... Thanks again.. And anyone looking to build this... It's an all day project!! LOL..

  • now you only need a mouse for that maze, lol. Great job! how is the sound quality like?

  • Put a top on the box too lol looks stupid without it

  • Id say your not to smart when it comes to subs lol 8 don't give you shit for bass sorry you can't even feel any bass at all is say poor sound quality if you want bass you don't use a 8 lol that's why they make 10s an 12s 15s if you must like I have how check out my channel

  • lotta work space and wood for 2 8's

  • It's not called a bloody chocolate bar!

  • 気持ちはわかるし日本でも流行っているがスピーカーの中を迷路にしてもいい音は出ないよ、中板が振動し、膨らんだ低音や付帯音が出るだけもっと勉強しましょう。

  • how that would be for a car?? u guys think it be awesome

  • try facing the speakers inside the box like a tapped horn.i'm sure it will sound great.

  • nice work, the port inside the module looks like one of those Bose Acoustimass

  • Great box. Crap everything else

  • where do you buy this terminals???

    PS: verry good work ^^

  • you got em plugged into ur computer or what??? bet a box like dat would sound bad ass for some 10's or 12's... looks cool though bro

  • nice but a waste...should make a box like that for some 12s

  • nice fuckin 8 inch subs u homo. i bet my 12" kicker would destroy those things

  • @thefamilyk You should talk, you're using a kicker sub ha.

  • @thefamilyk oke

  • the reason it sounds like that is cuzz there is no top itll sound better when u get it on

  • That is the longest port I have ever seen what is that tuned to?

  • I can see this box method for 2- 12 inch earthquake audio subs. but 2 -8 inch subs?? i dont think it would make a louder difference with a port or if they were sealed. there is too much of a port in the box. it would shorten the sound by 50%

  • whats the yelow lead for on the 8s ?

  • @jayholley123 theyre DVC so each sub has 4 wires coming from it

  • @barevids so why is there only 2 wires hooked up ?

  • @jayholley123 they are connected to the brown wires from the other coil to put the coils in series - Ive just used that central block to keep the wires together lol. if you look closely you can see the brown hiding under the yellow.

  • @barevids ahh yeah sorry ^^

  • @barevids Hey man, theres a lot of talk on this page out 8's and this videos sic by the way, but u should check out my friends 8" logitech on my channel if u want and maybe subscribe to me and ill subscribe to u.

  • @barevids Hey man, ive been watchin ur videos for a while, it would be sick if we could make a box together or something, lol, u make nice shit man, i subscribed to ur channel and will be watching all ur new videos, maybe u could ckeck my channel out some time, cheers

  • People who say that 8" drivers cannot produce good bass are burned out on 12"+ lo-fi car thumpers. I was in a room where a pair of 8" lo-frq drivers in the DCM Time Window squared causes glass shelving to crack.

  • Looks like mdf

  • What type of wood did you use?

  • whats the theory for these boxes?

  • Why don't you give your objective in building the transmission line? You are obviously no engineer.

  • does this give more bass ?

  • That one speaker-sub looks like it has a tear in it. Those bass-boxes need to be neater too, but its a kool idea, the way you made them.

  • And what are you going to put that in?

  • Thats alot of back-pressure, hope it works out for you.

  • usually 8" put into the studio because it gives the cleanest sound

  • Working with one is a real challenge.

  • hey dude! nice box! i have a question! if i want t build a box like this but with one 400w (200w rms ) woofer the box should be smaller or it can be made at the same dimensions you mentioned!????! xD

  • did you just randomly build that port, or did you turn that box to something?

  • peaple on here dontknow shit. nicevid

  • are those the mtx 8''s

  • how to you build a tline box i wana know how

  • Does a larger port volume mean a higher sound pressure level? Otherwise, I can't see the point in this. :/

  • Song in background?

  • @TheKingD007 Pitbull - Hotel Room Service

  • The construction of the box is very well done to you but the sound of the two boxes together to push each other. Power but only a bit of sound from.

  • How do you design and tune the porting in that box i cant find anything on the net

  • the box cant be made good base sound before its closed!!! freaky box as shure.

  • @jockocam Well done... This is obviously a video showing you what the inside of a t-line enclosure looks like... Once the camera's shut off, a side panal will be fitted and the box will be complete.

  • name music?

  • I'm in gravesend ;) small world

  • He was talking about "the floor shaking!" and he had two more subs playing hiding in the back

  • do you have any plans for that box cause im looking at making something like this with 9 inch subs and how does it sound deep or

  • @MultiMinecraft123 where u get 9 inch subs at

  • @HomeBoyMuzik773 well im not sure if you live here in australia you would probably buy some at prosound or jb-hfi or ebay

  • If those were SA-8s, some 8" DD's, or at least 8w7's, that would sound FUCKING INSANE

  • LOL your a bk (bad kid) this is dumb as fuck

  • I have the jbl mrs528's. @ boxes with dual 18's in my living room running on 2 qsc 3602 amps bridged 4ohm mono....look out....lol

  • Would this be a good box for two sundown sa8 and could u like email me the specs of this box

  • good work ;-)

  • Claude !!!!!

  • I'd like too see that ... Cuzz all i see is a bunch of shity 8s

  • @TheJeffprete well watch my latest vids.???????

  • Comment removed

  • Ok so there two 8s at 8 ohms sounds weak you should see my dj 15s

  • @TheJeffprete you should see my PA 15s, 18" from wembley, dual pioneer ts-w121spl, etc.... lol :p

  • @barevids you should see my jbl srx728 now them are subs

  • @barevids you should se my 4 speaker with 2 15" and my 2 18" subs

  • No Shit but 8s barely give any bass

  • @TheJeffprete really? watch?v=hKtyE6aT38Q

  • @barevids could u send me the specs so i could do this for my 2 6.5" subs

  • @TheJeffprete wrong

  • @TheJeffprete Depends on the make, 8" gives super clean bass.

  • Why 8s with that big Ass box lol

  • hello can you tell me what programm you used to design the box?

  • hey do you think you could send me the specs for this box designe ive been lookin for them for a while and came up with nothing johnnyboyblue369@yahoo.com thank you if you can

  • i have a 10'' jbl sub and i dont know what kind of box to make for it i havent made a enclosure bevore ( ony cardboard ) but i guess that wont work.

    i want i compact box so i was thinking of making a L port it's a jbl gt 5-10

  • do u know that it dont work with side on it (A)

  • such a big box for small subs..

  • looks dead complex, why do it like a maze and not just have a box

  • Say you had 2 8s in a sealed box and it hit 120. When you put it in a t line box and tune it at like 30hz or so, is it still as loud?

  • love your design dude but im working with a limited space....1989 jeep wrangler. Do you think i could use this in my jeep????

  • hi can i have the dimensions for the box please!!!

  • Lol, I had the same Rotel 2-way speakers. Old but nice sound!

  • @MrM4z4 omg really! do you still have them?

  • @barevids Yep, my dad has them. Over 25 years old speakers and still great sound.

  • Dang dude that's a nice box you have there!!

  • why is there a maze for the air to pass through??

  • do you know the deimensons of the box for those 2 8's?

  • Unless calculated properly for the exact speaker specs you are intending to use there will be phasing issues with the essentially front loaded box design mashed together with a horn sub design....this is interesting idea tho.....maybe a design with the speakers orientated one facing forward and one backwards. Then time align them to get phasing issues down to a minimum...

  • oh man ur port needs to be 3 inches longer shit son

  • Comment removed

  • all that for 2 8's wtf,,, lame

  • Comment removed

  • i make the same one i will make a video on it

  • HOW DO U MAKE A T-LINE BOX PLEASE REPLY !!

  • this would be sweet to put a piece of Plexiglas over that hole side so you can see in it...

  • nice boxes m8 , but personally think i would of run one driver as the bass driver, the other 8" as a mid rane driver and add a silk dome tweeter to the box bi-wired, would make for some really good sounding full range boxes

  • Whats that song in the background???

  • are those Tang Band 8" subs? ;)

  • dude this is a sick box..i hope that shit sounds badass in person..

  • if u dont mind wat r ur deminsions

  • aRE THOSE 2ohm???

  • Where did you get all you info about the T-Line design. All I can find are a bunch of algorithms and math I can't do. I have taken what I can understand and applied it. I have built two boxes so far. One for an JL 8W3 v3-4 and two Alpine 6.5" Type R, corm and old set of components. Keep an eye out for my vids. Still fighting with you tube to get them on. Pretty new to the whole online vid thing. Excellent work though

  • box looks way to big from my perspective

  • I bet it sounds super deep... Thats a very good box!! Props

  • nice box, how you know this is the best way to do?

  • damn u a pro dude, when the times comming i ask u bout a box - plan : )

  • How and why have you put all that maze inside it? i aren't really sure about this but im having a guess its to tune the bass?

  • beautiful box my friend :)

  • Gotta round out your corners!!! If you want sound quality especially!!

  • W.T.F...

  • thats one long channel.

  • what does the t-line's with the subwoofer?

  • @moonfly1

    True. True.

  • cant wait to see your car lol thought i had a prob with my subs and amps but damn

  • Wow man, ive been looking for a better enclosure for my 2 8" but wow, thats amazingg, i think i saw annother one of your videos when it was in autocad or something, can yu link ut up, haha wouldnt mind building the exact same box:)

  • Interesting layout... I might just use something along those lines. A bitch to build though.

  • wow =D

    looks nice !

  • how much would you want to make a tline for a 15 alpine type r?

  • I have got the same amp like that ;-)

    And it sounds good

  • thats just way 2 much work for 2 tiny 8s

  • COuld you send me a full scale google sketchup t-line box for a 10" would be really apricative! Just PM me for my e-mail

  • hey can anyone help me build one of this t box

  • how do you conekt them to your pc

  • @100turbodog same as any other speakers--- amp out of PC----speakers out of amp, im not too sure abut when ya using massive systems though- might have to run it through a pre amp or something like that

  • how much more base does.. this design give..?

  • That's a crazy awesome port. What's it tuned to?

  • Now I know that ported is louder than sealed. And according to thors hammer slot porting beats out aero ports in the end.And according to obcon the labyrinth slot is louder than the l port.In your opinion do you think the t-line is the loudest type of ported enclosure?Oh shit I forgot bandpass being louder than just ported. And I know t-line sounds the best.

  • @SantaSyndrome Well T-Line is the second loudest type of enclosure. Exponential horn is by far the loudest. Klipschorns(The most well known exponential horn enclosures.) send out sound very far. With Klipschorns a 100 Watt sound system would sound as loud as most 1000 watt sound systems, and they have a nice frequency response as well going from the low 30s to around 17k Hz.

  • I just built a pair of Standard reference T-line speakers they are hugh and amazing...good job guy

  • How it sounds that thing compared to bassreflex or sealed ?

  • mmkay

  • can i buy two of this!?500 euro for both

  • @Katalist1 two of these exact boxes? Where abouts do you live?

  • Comment removed

  • dude holy shit you mad a maze for ur bass and use some real shit like some 12's or 15's

  • @themaster91156 why the hell would i wanna use 12"s or 15"s in a house? thats STUPID overkill dirty bass that cant keep up with the acoustics of a room. In a car yes 12" + are great. for home audio i wouldnt generally go above 10", it just sounds dirty, especially with all the flexing. Thats why i built this t-line, for sound quality....

  • @barevids I run 4 12's in mine... I love it.. I run clean and not all ghetto but I like to get more info on this t line deal. I have been making boxes every week so whats a few more for fun.. do you have a link to a good write up and all that jazz?

  • @barevids I use 15's and 18's and get superb SQ, much better than tiny little drivers can manage. If your having issues getting large drivers to sound rigt, you need better drivers and need to learn about room acoustics and proper system setup.

  • @moonfly1 Yeah but what music do you listen to? It's a fact that transient response is greatly reduced as cone size and weight increases. Only way round it is to have a low moving mass and a strong magnetic field. Expensive larger drivers will perform better, but many people don't want large 12 or 15s in their living room. These designs give you top sound quality whilst maintaining the spl of q well built ported box. And yes soft furnishings and placement will make a great improvement also.

  • @barevids the argument on driver speed dont stand. A large driver has massively increase Vd over smaller drivers, so they dont need to move anywhere near as much. Less movement required means faster response due to much less travel required by the driver. The only arguments against high quality large drivers, is that they generally need large enclosures.

Check out Home Theater Shack .com and come take a look, you might find some very interesting and useful info. I use the same name and moderate.

  • @barevids When it comes to music, listen to everything from Ambient chill out music, to drum and bass, break beat, RnB, Dance, Trance and a ton of other stuff. The highest performance subs Ive built have been using sealed enclosures with large drivers. Sealed enclosure offer the highest transient response, and large drivers result in effortless clan bass. You can check out my builds on HTS.

  • @barevids Also, I'm not trying to take anything away from this build. For smaller drivers T Lines, and the various ported designs can be very good, and they usually rely on the port for increased output the driver just cant provide. I only wish t clarify the point on large drivers. Porting those if you can handle the size gives incredible clean output and spl's, but they are best suited to dedicated Home Theaters. This build does look good.

  • @moonfly1

  • @barevids How about me? I have 2 15's in my room that shake my curtains at 10hz!

  • make the t lines a thiner wood so u can get more airspace

  • haha mate you got the exact same amp as me :D is it a Technics SU-V550 ?

  • put fiber glass on that side with out a wall

  • thats a pretty crazy build... the subs you're using don't look worthy though...

  • @CoupeDeville23 thats kinda the point...you get big sound with little power and drivers that look kind shitty. it gives a huge WOW factor

  • Its too bad plexiglas would degrade the sound. That thing is almost too pretty to cover up.

  • I don't have the any experience with t-line enclosures, but I feel like the back wave would take entirely too long to exit the port to support the front wave adequately like a more basic bass reflex slot port.

  • why 8 ohm... sub only soppose play at 4 or 2

  • DOES IT SOUNDS LESS POWERFUL BCOZ OF LONG TUNNEL?

  • Pussy Stuff

  • dont you think that is alittle over board four 2 8 in subs and you could have done parallel wiring i didnt even i should say i would even do that for my 4 12s in my car you just wasted wood by doing that

  • can you build Me a box like that But with two 18'' Holes In it :D Please

  • hello! I wanted to ask a few things!

What are the advantages of this kind of box?

    bass feel strong?

Shake it all? or are they just listening to pop music?

Can you tell me if the play is better than a subwoofer in a prefab home theater?

How much did it cost all the wood?

  • Thats a Beastly box for two 8's I bet it sounds amazing!

  • T-lines sound bloody fantastic!! That's the point you wanker!

  • trying to build T-line for my jbl gt4 15" any idea how calculate enclosure for it ?

  • trying to build T-line for my jbl gt4 15" any idea how calculate enclosure for it ?

  • what is the point of having such a complicated box?

  • @zidanetribal00042 The sound you get out of it is phenominal :) generally you get the quality of a sealed box with the SPL of a ported, all at a nice ballanced level

  • Hey...

So, I really wanna build a couple of transmission line enclosures, with either 2 8s, 10s or maybe even 12s. I'm a little hesitant though, not because I'm afraid of messing up on the actual assembling end of it, but with the calculations and designing. Can you help me out a little bit? It would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.
