Its weird to me. My computer have internet and suddenly not. This happens with a difference of about 10-15 sec. Sometimes the internet lasts longer. All other computers, iPhone etc works fine. My computer is like I said above. But it does work on internet everywhere else but not home. We just got a new modem and after we got it I have only been experiencing problems with internet. Help?

Thanks, this solved my problem! I had one Wifi network I could connect to fine, and another that just wouldn't work - whereas they both worked on every other gadget in my house! Whose stupid idea was it to have it not set to get the DNS address automatically?

@nanushka19 If troubleshooting identifies the problem as being a broken connector, you might need to either have the connector replaced or just use cable. Changing your ipconfig can't fix a broken connector. Also, sometimes certain phone signals (unlikely) or magnets (such as phone chargers!) can mess up a wlan connection (or fry a computer component). Make sure there's nothing magnetic nearby and good luck!

On my HP computer, there is a wlan adapter on/ off button where the f12 key usually is. I accidentally hit that when typing a dash and spent all week doing this. Friends, try cutting your wlan adapter ON if this doesn't work!

Hey man, i use my laptop for browsing etc.. and recently my wireless stopped working. My laptop still picks up my router when i do a device search but it wont connect to the router, i get a message pop up in the bottom right corner saying unable to connect to preferred wireless network. But, try deleting the network profile and try reconnecting. Also, reset your router or reboot it.
