can you create loops and cut them in half? also wondering if the denon 1000 can set different cue points.

@BRadlein123 When you create a loops if you push the "B" button you can cut the loop where you want. For the "cue" points you can used the cue button and the other two keys of loop for create other cue points; you can see it on video at 2:20.

I never used American Audio but I assure you, Denon is on par with Pioneer.

I suggest you buy an used Dj set for first time because you don't know how good you are then you don't spending so much, also a good used is better than a bad new.

For the brands i suggest you "Pioneer, Denon" for CD player and "pioneer, denon, allen heath and technics" for the mixer.

However prepared to spend at least 5-600 U.S. dollars.

but i also used the cdj 800

and the dn-s1000

well, two CD players and a good mixer is all for what you want do .

It is my understanding that Denon does not make the DNS-1000 anymore. I guess you get a used one or opt for the DNS-700 or DNS-1200. Peace

You're right but this video is a few years. However, the 1000 is equal to 1200 except for the new multimedia connections (USB, Keyboard, D-link, mp3).

If you look closely at the video, when the Cdj works in normal play mode You can read the velocity in the second line of display (min 2:20 -> 127bpm).

The anti shock system of Denon is very good, for the balance beats you can used jog pad as the pioneer.

My opinion is that this player is better than the pioneer cdj 200, only minus the cue and play buttons too soft so unresponsive.
