@menomz17 .... um wow I am unsure where to begin. First off Spanish are Caucasian. So they are white.... Second off Columbus was financed by the Spanish and even claimed land in the name of Spain. Spain at one time occupied much of what is now America (look at texas ect). The Spanish were involved with many of the atrocities that happened in the Americas but in all fairness far more native American's survived in Spanish controlled land then in English (and later USA land).

It was wrong, it was atrocious, but the Spaniards themselves did not eliminate 95% of the population. The truth is, 95% of them died to diseases unknowingly brought by the Europeans for which they were not immune. Secondly they died and killed each other amongst their tribes through alliances, albeit, formed by the Spaniards. Only about 5% were actually killed by the Spanish themselves in a state of war. Few madmen like Pizarro did the tortures and atrocities.

IF wasnt just the white people all these comments are reared at white people spanish are just as much to blame white people just beat them to it... if it had been the spanish im afraid all nations from alaska to southern most part of south america would have been exterminated

@menomz17 .... um wow I am unsure where to begin. First off Spanish are Caucasian. So they are white.... Second off Columbus was financed by the Spanish and even claimed land in the name of Spain. Spain at one time occupied much of what is now America (look at texas ect). The Spanish were involved with many of the atrocities that happened in the Americas but in all fairness far more native American's survived in Spanish controlled land then in English (and later USA land).

Since they are not located in America (at least many of the ones I was referring to aren't) I realize that I should have called them indigenous people rather then native Americans. I apologize in advance.
