  • Is this the song from metalica?!!?

  • @h333333333h yea it is, that was the first thing that came to mind, I'm pretty sure this is the original song, Kurk Hammett was influenced by a lot of orchestra music. The song is Nothing Else Matters, I'm not sure if that was the origonal name or not...

  • @Xxguitarkiller77xX Yeah, I know to play it on guitar^^

I'm not sure if that is the original song...

  • @jesustm6 and it still works !

  • @jesustm6

It looks as though it was made to be very rigid indeed.

  • @jesustm6 wow im not going to thumbs up this comment, although i would like to, just because it has 45 thumbs up and you said your father made it 45 years ago

  • Comment removed

  • Very nice work Jesus. I really like the older machines in your shop. They don't build them like that anymore!

  • my dad made me two of them. no machines were involved. nothing else mattered.

  • Bullet

  • It is very nice & all but it would take some real skill to use hand tools insteadead of doing it w/ a jigging tool like that. But good work none the less.

  • I learned something from you - thank you for posting this video.

  • have you tried using various woods together and then shaping it. I have been to various parts of Mexico for wooden pieces to purchase and have had to really keep them from cracking them once they are back in the U.S.

  • 5:07 thats a cannon bullet!! xD

  • @L1ne3 LOL

  • It would be really cool if that artillery shell at the end, were hollowed out and the wooden bullet just sat inside the wooden jacket, kinda of a nice hiding spot for chocolates,or keys,or change,or anything you wanted to stash.

  • @8thinpigs you could do something really cool by hollowing out the ball and cutting it in half precisely so it doesent look like it comes apart and put your keys in there

  • Awesome, I enjoyed watching Please say if I am able to have something specifically made by you. I have been searching. If not this is a tease but neverthe less good job

  • jesus this is going to hurt your foot if you kick it with your sandals on dude!

  • bowling ball?

  • Beautiful. I dont know what you'd do with it.

  • you are a master of your late

  • @PerfectParasite its lathe you idiot

  • @tobester1997 It's quite obviously a typo you dumb fuck. Go kill yourself. Wait, don't because the people who don't love you would have to pay for your funeral.

  • @PerfectParasite you real are an idiot and a wanker it was just a simple comment correcting you it wasnt meant as an insult so that wasnt nessessery you son of a whore

  • @tobester1997 You called me an idiot. That is an insult. If you hadn't meant it as an insult you wouldn't have called me such. Also, "you real are an idiot..." This should be "You really are an idiot..."

Just so you don't try correcting me further I'll tell you what the three periods mean.

They are ellipses, they mean that text has been omitted from the quotation.

Perhaps, you should have all your grammar and punctuation down before correcting people's typos and be polite.

  • @tobester1997 Also, in correcting me initially you said, "its lathe you idiot."

This statement should be written as, "It's lathe, you idiot." The former statement would mean that the lathe belongs to "it" and the comma is needed to separate to disconnected ideas. Seeing as you are from the UK, I'd think that you'd know how to speak and write in English correctly.

  • @PerfectParasite ok It's lathe, you idiot, stupid, dumb fuck. happy?

  • @tobester1997 Why am I stupid? Because I made a typographical error and you insulted my for it? It's fairly easy to tell that you are just an uneducated and rude individual. For the sake of humanity, please don't procreate.

  • @PerfectParasite "Insulted me for it"

  • @PerfectParasite please finish that,

  • @jesustm6 I corrected my error in a previous comment. I'm sorry for having one of mankind's dumbest creations, an internet argument, on your video.

  • @PerfectParasite im in year 9 so ye im realy uneducated your the uneducated one

  • @tobester1997 We're done here. We are flooding this guys video with a nonsense argument. If you want to further this send me a message, just for the respect of this guy. Okay? Also, if you plan on replying with comebacks, please formulate them and proofread.

  • how much for one rly i want one bad

  • I operate a metal lathe. In the Wabash River Valley. I have always wanted to learn how to turn things on a wood lathe...Good demonstration

  • Is it possible to travel through time with this spinning wood ball?

  • metallica version of nothing else matters is a million times better, sorry

  • @cazbrian3 yeah duh

  • the last creation looks like penis

  • @ugny5 45 cal. acp bullet?

  • congratulation do u have a wood ball ¬¬

    (looks like jupter o.O)

  • this is how they make malteasers

  • Excellent!! Wouldn't mind hanging around your shop for a day or two!!!

  • when i got my lathe i wanted to do this but never gort around to it

  • Absolutely beautiful! and also is the music! *-* Nothing Else Matters, i knew it sounded familiar!

I deal with steel, my "cousins", civil engineers, we joke about the differences: we fix cars and they build houses... It will be funny to show them this... It's art! *-*

  • Do you have any more shots of that homemade bandsaw at the beginning of the video?

  • Sorry I do not have any at the momment, perhaps later . thank you.

  • Can you tell me where I can find this add-on tool for my lathe? Been searching everywhere, without any luck ...

  • Sorry I do not know where you can find it, the one in the video was made it by me for the same reason, thank you.

  • @svedel77 This is a standard metal working trick. Look online for planes for the metal version and you should be able to make one out of hardwood for yourself.

  • Hehe, I actually háte perfect round balls.. I mean, why would I make something that computers can do as well? I simply eyeball them while carving, feels better for me.

  • and nothing else matters dun dun dun dun

  • i knew that song sounded familiar

  • I wonder what caliber that bullet is at the end......

  • i wish i had a perfectly round wood ball...

  • I want a perfectly round stone,or concrete, ball 3 or 4ft in diameter for a fountain I want to build.Any ideas??

  • No I am sorry I do not work with concrete or stone, if I know something I will let you know

  • @middsteve

that's ugly, 3 or 4ft of concrete... fuck...

  • @middsteve

Have you ever heared about AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete)?

...shearch for a vid called "AAC Lathe", i think it fit your needs... you just need to unsulate it after..

  • @middsteve Make a wooden ball just like this one on the lathe, and then use it to make a mold from clay or fiberglass for your concrete to go into.

  • Jesus! Thank you for sharing this with all of us! I am making a smaller version for my lathe, so that I may make perfect spheres, too! Thanks again! Muchas gracias!

  • thank you and good luck

  • make a video to share with us.
