Hello Lincoln. I enjoy your videos, this video about love really speaks to me. But, I also watch videos from SageBodisattva, I questioned him about love and after his video "An Apprenticeship with Knowledge" he addressed my questions in comments and videos. What do you think of his approach? He seems on the mark but he doesn't see love like you seem to.
@YamahaCubed I have never head of SageBodisattva. Also I do not watch YouTube videos or study other teachers. And I do not critique other teacher's messages.
Many spiritual teachers have never experienced Divine Love / the Bliss of Self. Most spiritual teachings these days are mental system of information. The information can create mental peace, but it will not awaken the Spiritual Heart - the deepest center of our being.
@ChannelHigherSelf. Is unconditional love the same thing as the one unified consciousness, higher essence, total pure awarness or even god? Are all of these the same thing? Are all these descriptions and names that are beyond the ego that divine love that you speak of? Sorry about asking you to critique another teacher, I should've known that is asking for some kind of conflict, you seem to only speak from your heart, not judge or put yourself higher than another.
@YamahaCubed The deepest experience of ourself is Sat Chit Ananda = Truth (eternal, cannot be removed) Consciousness (aware, alive) Bliss (experience of Oneness which is the greatest happiness and Love). This is one unified experience with these three qualities.
Not all religions define God the same way. Some say it is outside of creation and separate from humans. Others say that God is all things - both in creation and outside creation. Some religions do not talk about God.
@YamahaCubed Also keep in mind that within one religion / system, there are many different and often conflicting teachings. Because the human mind is so confused, humans have created so many confusing teachings.
The reason why some teachers may say that Love is not enlightenment is usually do to these reasons:
1) emotional love is not the same as Divine Love.
2) many teachers are not fully awakened and therefore do experience the Bliss of Self
@YamahaCubed 3) the ego loves to identify with forms but Divine Love is beyond the ego and therefore only a silent mind can experience this Divine Love.
4) It is easy and common to identify with experiences that are not the ultimate state and hold these ego-based experiences as the goal. We see this with the emotional highs of kundalini yoga and astral-based systems. We also see this with the 'nothingness' / 'emptiness' of Buddhism.
@YamahaCubed The ego needs an identity of some type to exist, so we must be careful of what we place importance on. Ultimately only inner silence and surrender of the personal self will bring us to this state of Blissful Awareness.
This state is beyond the conditions of the manifest world, yet can be experienced while still living. Namaste.
