  • Does anybody know if Steve Albini did any production on this album? He's in the credits, but I don't know why...

  • dr. dre assisted on the mix

  • I think Trent should give Dre. a hand in getting back. Maybe...Maybe Not...it is up to him. I wouldn't be surprised or shocked. But it is still a very long shot, he wouldn't lose fans it would be a small point in his career, compared to all his other work.

  • @Kenster1025 you're an idiot.

  • For once in my life I feel complete, yet I still want to ruin it. As a freind of bill w. These songs hold serious weight love trents realness.

  • Can't believe this album has been out for 12 years already.

  • I bet rap artists wish they could come up with beats like Trent, damn yo!

  • @tandemmontecello Pretty sure Dre was involved in this

  • that's deep... =)

  • depressed well at lest i think i am

  • Could you try to help me hang on?

  • The Day I quit and got sober I had listened to this song and it made me think...i listened to it and thought about it for a while...then went back to sleep. Later I woke up and seen things differently. Changed my life.... thanks Trent. NIN today and everyday.

  • Trent does like rap beats, this is a known fact

  • @joshuafelty8484 prove it

  • am i the only one who thinks that the track "deep" should've been on this album? it fits lol and it closely sounds like "even deeper" lol ironic?

  • They gave you a different one cause u cant be trusted.

  • @xXxnvysslxXx hilarious

  • wots with the album cover?? mines not like that

  • nin 4 ever

  • this song on dmt

  • ehh not amazing. not hating, just not for me.

  • @Ocire14 was your comment even worth typing? god i fuckin hate precocious 14year old faggy bitches like you that think somebody on youtube actually gives a fuck about your worthless opinion.but hey thanks for letting the anonymous crowd in cyberspace know that this isnt for you.we will all keep it in mind

  • love nin

  • fukin love this here....amazing music. i dont really knw how to classify it so i wont bother. All i gotta say is im fukin grateful that it is!

  • If this story i'm working on ever gets to be made into a film, this will definitely be on it. I'd probably go to him to have him do the soundtrack considering all the work he did on 'ghost i-iv'.

  • This is influenced by Hip-Hop in the sense that a break-type system is used that resembles a Hip-Hop beat. Dr. Dre helped in making this song.

  • nin is the only non metal band i listen to

  • made a huge mistake last night.. and now this morning and every morning after im paying the price.... "it runs even deeper" than i ever considered..

Thank you NIN for taking away a little bit of pain...

  • Long Live NIN

  • This song for me is so full of imagery that has been in my head since the fragile came out. For the longest time I couldn't remember the name of this song but when I found out what it was called I watched a video of "The Maxx" with this song in the back ground. There something really mystical about this song that speaks to me directly I've been a maxx fan since I was 7 years old.

  • I freakin love this song !! It is so awesome , I love you Trent !!!! <3 You make beautiful music and it is art. No one can do what he does.

  • Dr Dre didn't produce this, he mixed it, or helped mix it. It says Mixing assistant in the linear notes.

  • Colette Cliar, That isn't true. I loved this album and anticipated "With Teeth", and then wan't impresed with "WT" or anything since they came out. The fragile, Downward Spiral and "All That Could Have Been" eras are the defining eras.

  • fragile is one of the best cd's of all time.

  • Dr. Dre DID participate!

  • i heard Dr Dre helped Trent out on this song

  • hold on. Dre produced this track?

  • one of my favorites and one of trents best in my opinion.

  • Just how damaged have I become?

  • DR. DRE!

  • What a f---ing cool song!! Totally love it!

  • Dr, Dre and Trent Reznor. what a strangely great combination

  • @halloweenking666 it might work if dre got into his dark place and remembered his friends that died in gangster style killings and such. emotion fuels the creative fire.

  • in a dream i'm a different me, the perfect you we fit perfectly, for once in my life I feel complete- and i still wanna ruin it.

  • @prammaven i agree on the snappier snare. I tend to make my drums very punchy and snappy and louder in the mix. Drums make tracks more than people know. I put tons of work into my drums.

  • Dr. Dre was the mixing assistant on this shit ! DR. DRE ALL DAY !!!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NIN ftw

  • Stop analyzing everything to pieces and just enjoy the song!!! Sheeeeeesh!

  • on dr.dre from wikipedia:

"Dre assisted on the mix for Nine Inch Nails track "Even Deeper", from 1999 album"

  • i fucking love this song;...fuck all of the bullshit talk!!

  • Love it!!!

  • The beat reminds me of something that would be on GoldenEye (N64 game). Very good song.

  • pretty sure this song is about alien abduction... whether trent knows it is or not.

  • @translucentorb Ha ha ..ur a fart smeller

  • actually all you fans, dr. dre produced this track. dr. dre is simply the best.

  • @whiteboy really wow thats really awesome

  • just love it. it's the proper expression of the proper emotions of a man who knows how to lay them down. beats that is. fine mesh of beats, one might call hip-hop beats, with many other frenquencies of sounds at different wavelengths to provide something much more than mere, MERE hip-hop, but the expression of real deep human emotions and experiences; and a display talent that is easily discerned from all.

  • most rockers I know hate hiphop/rap, hate 50 cent, hate lil wayne, hate soulja boy...but everyone of them i met, all acknolwedge that Dr. Dre is the shit, and respect Dr Dre. This is a Dr. Dre beat.

  • @R0MPET0T0 Actually, he was the mixing assistant on this song but, still: Dre day alllll day !

  • I like this album 2 one of my all time favorites let me take it with me to my death bed lol

  • This IS NIN's best album! GREAT SONG!

And for the hip hop heads, learn your musical history. Great WHITE men like Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mozart are the great musicians who gave humanity melody.

  • @96Z24 die.

  • @xxtaxidermyxx you first, bitch.

  • My first introduction to NIN was this album &

being a musician,it was a gift. I bought it twice and I am still missing 1 disk & I would

buy it again. At the beginning, there was always something to discover yet it was all melodic, now I know it all by heart. Some people say it is hard to get into. I took to it like a duck does to water.

    Just love it.

  • dre helped mix this track, he had nothing to do with the producing!

  • DR. Dre produced this. so thats where the hip hop influence comes in

  • Why the thumbs down? Dr Dre was the mixing assistant for this song. Trent likes to touch on a lot of musical areas too bad some thumbers down don't do the same.

  • hip hop?? are you kidding me??? what an idiot, this isnt even close to hip hop

  • it is very hip hop influenced, listen better

  • best album i´ve ever bought

  • Top 10 for me :)

  • dude. Reznor sometimes uses hip-hop beats. get over it. Hip-Hop is the shit. I'm not talking Lil Wayne and mainstream Hip-Hop. I'm talking good stuff, underground.

  • possibly my favorite song off The Fragile. So beautiful, yet depressing..

  • is this hip-hop?

  • I don't care if it's hip hop or country, some one obviously loved this idea enough to turn it into a song, how lucky for us...

next time you diss on a type of music you don't like remember that there's people out there who love it just as much as you can or will ever love anything and just because you love something doesn't make it better than if they love it. we're all the same behind our differences so learn to get along before we're all destroyed.

  • @RobZandy AMEN! =]

  • @RobZandy Potatoes gonna potate.

  • @thexoor kill yourself

  • @thexoor kill yourself

  • @RobZandy Well put!

  • "For once in my life i feel complete, and i still wana ruin it" Story of my life

  • how the fuck do you get hip-hop from this?!?! dumbass!

  • dr dre assisted in producing the beat

  • i realize that... that doesnt make it hiphop. fuck hiphop!

  • @nineinchnail6794 Yeah, maybe you fuck hip hop, but still, they worked with

DRE, so they know the real deal. Peace !

  • @nineinchnail6794 you don't know shit. really, if anything, the song sounds a lot like UK trip hop like Tricky and Massive Attack. your ignorance is pitiful. listen to that rolling, funky beat. there's totally some dope shit going on here. I'd love to hear Dre remix this.

  • it is a hip hop beat, why would this offend you ?

  • @nineinchnail6794 wow you suck dude

  • this is for you.

  • well.. yes, he takes part in the mix of the song, but not alone, charlie clouser and danny lohner are other creators , besides reznor.

  • i dedicated this song to an ex. she didn't take it so well haha. you know me well you think you do. trent is tits.

  • i just found out this song was mixed by dr dre

that is fuckn sweet, they should work on the same tracks more often, and more people need to know about that fact

  • @jer14720 TRUE THAT !

  • This song is okayy. It does sound like hip-hop (which I really don't like) but Trent makes it sound good. ^^

  • this was mixed by dr. dre

  • no... your'e jokin are ya?

  • sometimes i have everything yet I wish i felt something

  • "everything that matters is gone"...

  • yeah, but do You know how far this has gone...?

  • It is inevitably underrated; in the sense how how the general NIN public continuously disscusses Reznor's work like "Year Zero" or "The Downward Spiral" and not his musically significant work to date like "Pretty Hate Machine" or "The Fragile". I'm sorry if I'm somewhat opinionated; it's just what I feel. I FEEL as if this is musically the most significant track off the album (the best), along with "Somewhat Damaged" and "The Great Below".

  • yeah i feel you man

  • FUcking love this song! and this album is not overrated you fucking moron

  • wouldn't call the fragile underrated. i'm pretty sure it won some album of the year awards. like everything else he does it's incredible.

  • i am still in love with this album, and i love ALL trent touches. he is so open and raw, and that kind of talent really speaks to me. he is so amazing

  • dr.dre genius on the mix right there

  • Dr. Dre did assist Trent mixing this song and he adds that hip hop feel to it. One of the best songs off The Fragile and of the Nine Inch Nails catalog.

  • The most underrated track off the "Left" disc along with "The Great Below" and"Somewhat Damaged". "Right" would undoubtably be "Where Is Everybody", "Please" and "I'm Looking Forward To Joining You, Finally". The only track I dislike off the album is "Starfuckers Inc." even though I approve of it's rebellion against cooporate America. Which is the cultural tumor that's killing America. "The Fragile" is agruably the most underrated album of the 1990s.

  • yeah I agree. starfuckers doesnt seem to fit in well with the general theme and sound of fragile to me. This is my favorite track off fragile

  • definetely. i dont know if everyone completely understood where his soul was moving, much like TOOL's 10,000 days. everybody was so focused on the "hard" aspect that they didnt see the artistic vision and ability to feel something, have an emotion or an idea, an turn it into art and loving it as an expression of life and ones views solidified

  • @JesusCristo2002 in what state did you come from.. it wasnt underated

  • @JesusCristo2002 the greatest album of all time.

  • @JesusCristo2002 "Underrated" is overrated.

  • @JesusCristo2002 alot of people talk shit about the Fragile as being his "worst" album then "with Teeth" came out and everyone loved it. Something I will never, ever understand

  • @JesusCristo2002 You forgot we're in this together now

  • This is a great song. I actually loved this album right from the start, there's like 10 great songs from the two discs combined, and a couple of good ones as well. Great stuff.

  • Two of my favorite Musicians Trent Reznor, and Dr,Dre.

  • Dr Dre was hired as assisstant mixer on this joint ;)

  • no way are you serious?

  • It's interesting, because this song definitely has a certain hip hop feel. Like the beat stop at 2:21.
