All you need is intake, header, exhaust. That's it. And not some unimaginative and annoying fart can. Flowmaster, Magnaflow, etc. Have an exhaust shop make an actual exhaust rather than replace your muffler with a fart can and leave it at that.

@gerfall But the Solstice GXP is a more capable car than the S2000. Compare the specs, then the real world performance and the Solstice over performs the S2000 fairly easily. And before you say only buy V8 domestics, maybe you should check out the latest V6 Mustang.
@aaroncake With the money saved buying an s2k you could easily afford a turbo and many other mods. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. Other then the V6 Mustang and Camaro there isn't anything else other then V8's. Once again that comes down to a matter of opinion though so meh.

For example, for the $10K this guy put into his Cavalier I would have bought a blown 2nd gen RX-7 for $500-$1000, built a 500HP engine, put a nice suspension under it, a good set of wheels and tires, then sprayed a decent paint job and would now be competing performance wise with $100K vehicles. However off the showroom floor, it is a different comparison.

I street race every weekend and i have been doing for about 4 years and i have never gotten pulled over and i have never gotten into an accident.i drive a 99' GSX running 290hp. @aaroncake With the money saved buying an s2k you could easily afford a turbo and many other mods. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. Other then the V6 Mustang and Camaro there isn't anything else other then V8's. Once again that comes down to a matter of opinion though so meh.

@gerfall True enough, but once you start modding a car then all comparisons fall apart. For example, for the $10K this guy put into his Cavalier I would have bought a blown 2nd gen RX-7 for $500-$1000, built a 500HP engine, put a nice suspension under it, a good set of wheels and tires, then sprayed a decent paint job and would now be competing performance wise with $100K vehicles. However off the showroom floor, it is a different comparison.

I street race every weekend and i have been doing for about 4 years and i have never gotten pulled over and i have never gotten into an accident.i drive a 99' GSX running 290hp. What I don't get is why these street racers just don't take it to the track? It's far more fun, safer and a way to learn how to actually drive. Cavaliers are quick for lil 4 cyl being a modified cavi owner myself, they have potential when you do the right things, I have transformed my base model to a z24 other the the side skirts my car has 3 grand in it and I beat civics, 1500 chevy trucks some things I can't beat but they can become quick and yeah I will bash that system it sounded like shit, but don't bash a car by it's name
