When I met Maddie in Waikiki she had just started her True Blue Tour and this song as NOT to be released as a single until she saw the dance floor reaction. Although I didn't get to remix it, this remix was perfect, although I would have phased it throughout. ;)

A) La Isla Bonita was released February 1987, The Who's That Girl Tour (not true blue tour) started in June 1987.so by the time Madonna had gone on tour this song was a single. MAdonna has loved this song from the get go and had always pushed for its release she wanted it as the 3rd single rather than the 5th (probably would have hit #1 if released as the 3rd single) see what happens when you make up Bullshit in youtube, you get called on it. nice try.

I always loved the "remixes" from the 80s. They wouldn't add all these beats or extra instruments. They would use the existing music and break it down (only the guitars or keyboard changes). This is a great example of one of those great mixes.
