The Darkness suck. I remember reading some article way back about them slamming Radiohead for being boring or whatever, which leads me to believe that this cover is being done sarcastically and is pretty much mocking them.

Radiohead is leagues ahead of this shitty band! By the way...where are they now :)

i do like both bands. Actually I can't believe The Darkness covered a Radiohead's song. They're sooo different... I must say this version is musically really good and the voice is awesome; it approaches the music in a more aggressive way instead of desesperate and sad. It's ok, it's not bad, but it looses the feeling and emotion of the original. I think no one should try to cover a masterpiece like that. Street Spirit is not music, it's something else...and I think it should be kept untouched.

If it sounds like that to people then so be it. But with the Darkness I think from the start they actually TRIED to fall into a label. And thats why I bashed metalheads. Its THOSE type of people I don't really like... fanatics of riding in a school bus thats already saturated, when they could be driving their own car. :-)
