I just found this band (ashamed that it took me this long!) and they are incredible! Just sucks that they don't have distro in the US or tour here for that matter. They'd be huge here. Well, as huge as a metal band could get here, heh.

I've always wanted to go to Finland/Norway/Sweden and see some really good shows or festivals. Here you have to catch good bands 1 at a time if they decide to come over. I was recently at Volbeat's first New York City show which was awesome to see and they had a great time as well.

I saw the video for antichristmas and it is pretty great! I think it's nice for a metal band to have a sense of humor. I've told a bunch of my friends about Medeia and they all love it.

@cerebrex yea the videos are cool. but they take away from the music which i want to appreciate in all its brutality so i tend not to watch them :P in the summer you could do a loop tour of the nordic countries... at least tuska in helsinki is one festival you really dont wanna miss. they pull in some big names so you should check their website out if you're planning something like that. i can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed with a trip like that.

One of these days when the dollar is worth more than dog shit I'm definitely going to do that. I follow a few of the metal news sites and always see the updated bills for the festivals and I'm always jealous. The most we get is Ozzfest, which usually only has a handful of decent bands on the second stage. After Woodstock 1999 I think that promoters are terrified to do big festivals and especially with metal.

@cerebrex that's why europe is chilled, cos the whole festival thing is alive and well. that said, club gigs are much better than open air ones in my book (generally).
