  • that's a beautiful guitar!

  • @dowder04 Thanks!

  • I love your sound and play your video more than any other. Do you think that you might be posting another in the future? Thank you very much!

  • @lemontier Thank you!

  • Great job, knuck! The song we'll always remember Gene Clark for. And it's a beauty. Cool to watch and hear you play it.

  • @sportsmediaamerica Thanks!

  • /watch?v=pY86DBYSCOE

  • @angelsalta Thanks!

  • very beautiful rickenbacker!

  • @gus23a Thanks!

  • enjoyed that

  • @MrBruceBarham -- Thanks for the kind comment. And I agree with you -- a lot of folks play G instead of E on the first round. Gotta play the E. :)

    Cheers!

  • I like your playing and how you follow with the music. In your opinion is the 370 -12 needed to get the "Roger" Sound or could it be had with a 360-12 as well?

  • @harryhick Use the bridge PUP, a good compressor (Janglebox), chorus box and a nice clean amp and the 360-12 will do just fine. Good luck!

  • lovely idea to play along to the radio - beauty guitar, and nice playing! All thumbs up!

  • @EmmieHamstra Very kind comments. Thanks!

  • @knuck1723 Where did you get the tabs - online, or some tablature book?

  • nice!

  • @joerockusa Thanks!

  • Nice cover! Just sold my Jetglo 330/12 few months ago, how sad is that? Lovely, lovely sound these Ricky's have, you did the tune justice, well done, ( like the colour on your guitar!) Byrds are a wonderfull, timeless Band.

  • @iaingbrennan Thanks! Yes, the Byrds are timeless. I always enjoy listening to them. Cheers!

  • beautiful song beautiful sound. love Riks love the Byrds. nice job.

  • @sarnian59 Thanks!

  • Good job!...One of my favorites!...Beautiful blue Ric!

  • @49erBW Thank you - on both counts. Cheers!

  • Not so delusional, you smoked it dude! WTG!

  • @sderose62 Thanks! :)

  • Nice playing! What amp and pedals are you using?

    Keep on rock'n.

  • @Dasagross Thanks! Roland JC-120. Janglebox compressor. The 370/12 has the newer high gain PUPs. Cheers!

  • spot on, great coda, RIP Gene Clark. Steve (UK)

  • @stevedr Thanks. :)

  • Happy Easter! Wow almost 10,000 viewers in 2 years. Hope you are feeling a whole lot better healthwise. It sad that my (our?) guitars are collecting dust. Spending my free time trout fishing!

Sweet.....your video just ended and smiles break out all over! Take care, Dan

  • Hey, man. Good to hear from you. We're pretty busy -- playing two or three nights a week in local bars. I'll drop you a line later this weekend. Cheers!

  • nice cover! i love the 370 (isn´t it?) in blueburst!

  • Thanks!. Yes, that's a 370/12 in Blueburst.

  • Your Ric sounds awesome! And you nailed the lead break. Great job on a great song. One of my favorites.

  • Thanks! I remember when the song was first released. Still not tired of it. Cheers!

  • Wow! That Ric sounds amazing...and just when I was wondering what amp you were using, I saw it was a Roland JC, which is the amp that I use. Guess I should practice more and worry about my gear less!

  • Thanks!

  • Great cover. How about providing the chord changes and some tabs for the lead.

    Bob

  • Hey Knuck, a Roland goes well with the high gains. I really don't get that clear of a tone out of my 360. I was looking to get the toasters but do not want to fork over the cash right now.

    Sounds good!

  • Thanks! The high gains will never be as jangly as the toasters, but they're still pretty good. Best of luck to you.

  • Great job.

I know how it feels to be delusionally Tom Petty.

  • Thanks. Delusional is a good thing. :)

  • great playing! what amp are you using?

  • Thanks. Roland JC-120.

  • Great vid! I have been working with this tune but not there yet. Try with a 12 string...see what you think. Again, nicely done!

  • Thanks. :)

  • Awsome.Very very good:)

  • Thanks! :)

  • good cover mate we play this in our band and you sound pretty authentic what amp do you use anyway well done

  • Thanks for the comment. Roland JC-120.

  • VERY WELL PLAYED !!!!!:))

    -Stephen J. Arti ( Drummer-Byrds Of A Feather)

  • Thanks! :)

  • Sound BEAUTIFUL my friend. Thanks for posting.

  • super clap clap clap from well over the seas ! gentlemen, caps down !!

  • that was totally awesome!!! good work! 5 stars!

  • Well done. The lower tones coming from your guitar were particularly nice.

  • very nice job. You know the version of this song of charly garcia ?? Its from my country argentina ....?

  • Dude, that was just sick!!! Very nice tone and playing. Way to go!!

  • Muy bien mi amigo!! Los Byrds siempre!!

  • What an awesome guitar. I love that color. Your playing is great, sounds like McGuinn's. I was about 16 when that song came out. I learned to fingerpick my 12 string listening to Byrds albums in my bedroom. Man,does this bring back the memories. Thanks for a great post.

  • Good solid playing! Nice treat to the ears...

  • Thanks for the kind words.

  • Gets better every time I watch it!

  • Thanks, man. I still enjoy playing it. :)

  • I noticed your 370/12 has high gain pickups. Are you using any kind of compression to get that awesome tone?

  • Hollywood recording studios beckon, "The New Byrds in Town" aka: "The Best Byrds"

  • Nice job! Gotta get together with Byrds1967 in the studio. I think we have something good here.

  • Very cool. You rock brother!

  • We can title the band; "The Best Byrds".

  • Sounds good to me Byrd brother!

  • With the magic of independent tracks, I'll bet we could put something together. I'm pretty much maxed, though, playing with a couple of my friends in a band named Geezer. Still, it's an intriguing idea. :)

  • Whoa! Why don't you join my band...you play the RIC and I'll sing!!! Is that a 360 RM Special Edition?

  • I meant to say a six-way not war

  • can I install a six-war pickup switch on a ric 370/12

  • Fantastic - I love it !

  • Greetings from UK - Great sound - Love it - Just the best cover I have heard.

Thanks 4 posting clip - Made my day!!.

  • Well done. It's like a free lesson for this song. I'll send you a check in the mail.

  • Knuck,

D'ya ever think we'd be getting all these people to watch our guitar expertises? Geez's!

  • Not in a million years. :) Pretty nice, though, eh?

  • Great job! Thanks to 2wheelsturnin for sharing.

  • Keep deluding yourself - that Rick sounds GREAT. I mean, GREAT!

  • Nicely done. And nice guitar. If you're gonna play it, play it on one of those.

  • After enjoying this for the umpteenth time today I just realized that sadly I will never be able play like this. I play an A chord by fretting the three strings with my one index finger. No way for me to lift off of the B string like you do. I should learned right!

  • Don't worry about 'right', just play what's comfortable for you.

  • nice

  • nice

  • Hey dude,

Got it. Looks good to me!

    Great guitar!

    He smiles!

    -Steve
