He's pretty accurate in his review. I used to be pro at MKDS but now every1 seems to be insanely good at playing the game. Also, battle mode should have a free 4 all as well. Still, i think it deserves a 8/10 for the new stuff in this game.

Mario Kart Wii is the best in the series so far in my opinion, online is amazing, single player AND multiplayer is fun...what's not to like? Wheelies, tricks, new character and track, better graphics, better sound...

The only downside is battle mode.

This game is great, 9.3/10 for me.

I'd have to disagree with the score for MKWii. I mean, sure it did dumb down the drift system, but it added so much more. Bikes (and with them wheelies), tricks, 12 player, new items, the good online that Brawl so sadly was deprived of, and others. Plus, it seems most of his griping was about Battle Mode. I can see where the time/team system is worse for some, but others will prefer it. With 12 guys in the fray it's more chaotic, and hey- be glad it's at least online now!

this game is based on skill and luck, and it's fun for groups, it's not suppose to be a hardcore racing game, and the controls are much easier to operate than the ds, and that's what nintendo intends to do so EVERYONE can play....

Forcing you to use a bike is pretty sad and yes, the non-battle royal is regretable. However, I still find it pretty enjoyable. I do think, of course, that Nintendo could've done much more. Besides keeping the normal Battle, they should've also had the options to turn on or off items when in Vs mode. Often times I find the person who sandbags for the first lap will win because they'll have superior items while the person in first is pummeled by blue shells. Not a bad game by any stretch, though.

Mario Kart Wii is still a very fun game. When he mentions the "precise joystick movements" that you needed to use to drift in previous games, I assume hes talking about moving the control stick back and forth as fast as possible. Now, in my opinion, the new system is better (longer/sharper drift=boost). It doesn't ruin the gameplay for experts, just makes it more practical. Drifting is still hard enough for new players to avoid (by using Automatic mode), giving those who master it an advantage.

Ehhh I still want to pick it up. Mario kart wii might be screwed up a little, but oh well. It still seems like a good game overall. As for boom blox, it seems like a rental, and not a sale, depending of the price it goes on when it first comes out. Because I doubt it's going to have that many hours of playtime in it.
