It's easy to think the spill and the painfully, pitifull federal response is by design. With all the help and suggestions shrugged aside and the do nothing attitude of POTUS and BP. If banks stopped funding wars there would be peace. If banks helped the public instead of the corporations, there would be more wealth in the 3rd class. If there would be no stock market we would not be sitting in this mess. If there would be no capitalists/communists/kings/queens/ corporations/rulers there would be no wars, depressions, racism, poverty, theft of the treasury, inequality in education, lack of healthcare, illegal alien invasion, slavery, and no oil spills.

@kababayanC2 Oil is finite so we have to get off oil soon, why not now? It makes environmental, business and social sense. Ethanol is not a good alternative, it uses up valuable arable land. nuclear (thorium), wind, solar and wave are better cleaner alternatives.

Maybe this spill wouldn't have happened if Obama hadn't given this rig a pass on having an safety and environmental impact assessment before it happened.

We don't think the spill is Obama's fault. What we want is leadership. The Iranian hostage crisis wasn't Reagan's fault, but he fixed it, unlike Carter was able to do. The air traffic controller strike wasn't Reagan's fault, but he fixed that too. The President is supposed to be a leader, but since we've elected someone with no leadership experience, we are getting what we deserved. I feel sorry for the poor animals that are suffering, not for all the boobs who voted this clown into office!

As Artist humbly envision oil spill stoppage devices 1. 1000s farm grain heavy storage rubbers filled with ball bearings dropped over ruptured pipe and once below ruptured to cause heavy mound drainage proof ball bearings to contain spill. or/and 2. Heavy oil storage tank positioned over damaged pipe slowly lowered over site to contain spill later vlave and pipie attached to it to bleed off oil. 3. All BP claims and profits seized to compensate all americans and restore environment.

@Mrreserveatim It wasn't just a British company. American companies like Amico, Halliburton and Transocean were also involved. 8 of the 126 workers were under BP. BP was therefore renamed Beyond Petroleum over a decade ago because it was multi national. Whilst BP (along with others) should, absolutely, take responsibility, stop fueling more hate for Britain please.

It's easy to think the spill and the painfully, pitifull federal response is by design. With all the help and suggestions shrugged aside and the do nothing attitude of POTUS and BP. The Gulf Coast governors should take over the operation by force. Anyone thats had ICS training knows that the locals have to do the work and more importantly MAKE THE DECISIONS. The Feds role would be to pay the bill and provide necessary men and materials.

Did you know that 13 countries offered to help clean up the oil spill. They have superior vessels and equipments that could clean up the spill 3x faster than what we have and Obama refuses every offer! All he had to do is to waive The Jones Act to allow vessels in the Gulf Coast. The reason he's not accepting help is because the worse the oil spill, the better chance of him passing Cap and Trade! Don't let a crisis go to waste is what he's doing!
