Homosexual activists understand the power of words.
Please visit my channel to watch a one-minute video clip in which famous atheist Richard Dawkins admits that homosexual activists "hijacked the word 'gay'".
The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.
The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.
I can't help thinking that if anything like stoning or amputation can occur, legally, under a legal system, like sharia, in any country in the world, even once, then that legal system must be, inherently, flawed and should not even be contemplated for even token or minimal parrel juridiction in any democratic, or developing democratic, country. This talk about we'll just not allow the bad stuff to happen is nonsense. Why should a system be introduced, in any way, that allows that stuff?
i guess only he has the answer.maybe he has see it thoroughly before suggesting to implement it.what i know malaysia is an islamic state and i never heard of anyone got his limb cut off for stealing or any other kind, except canning or death sentence for serious offences. Even in singapore, which is a secular country, canning and death sentence is one of the penalty.
yuslan, what you are hearing is the voice of people who recognize that sharia law is, fundamentally and ultimately, incompatible with democracy, freedom and human rights. Part of that voice is, yes, a fear of anything that would threaten those things for which we would give our lives to protect. What you, apparently, do not hear is our willingness to defend what we hold dear. Mr. Williams may be a "thinker", and he may have been "appointed", but he, too, unfortunately, is hard of hearing.
You know he hasn't, but that doesn't mean that I, and many, don't think he should, as was shown by the overwhelming negative reaction in Britain and around the world to his statements. If he isn't forced to resign, it will only be because no leader of the Anglican Church ever has, and, because he is lucky. That's it. Whether, in the end, he resigns or not, is, in a way, beside the point: he will not get a second chance on this nor will anyone else who makes similar statements on this subject.
In Nigeria the Muslims have to volunteer to have their hand cut off. They can choose the civil or religious court. As a matter of piety a few chose to have their hands amputated. Search Nigeria+Sharia+Court here for the docu .
Can Rowan Williams bare to hear the truth he spoke twisted by knaves[the press] to set a trap for fools[the mob] if Jesus came back he would be lynched again
All that was said was Britain be allowed to formalise the informal practice of Shariah on CIVIL matters, like inheritance, marriage, business etc. NOT penal codes. How this somehow impedes on "democracy and freedom" is beyond the scope of his entire argument. It will be the choice of Muslims should they want to or not. But they already do, just informally. This hysteria of the media and public is scary. Perhaps people should consider actually reading his lecture?
It is sharia that is scary, in fact. Where it passes, it spreads violence, ignorance, terror, death. In no way could it serve the interest of British People.
Are you even aware of civil laws? This is exactly why the reaction was found to be very hostile by those who actually were bothered enough to read his speech. How is inheritance, divorce and business relations as prescribed by shariah so hard to accept by some? It is already being done, there are "Shariah compliant" financial services offered by commercial banks, research "Amana Finance" by HSBC.
Archbishop Ben Kwashi warns "once you ask for the first step of sharia law you are going to get to the last of it." You argue that as there's already sharia-friendly finance other elements of it should be formalised too. This is exactly what Kwashi warns against - a step-by-step power grab until, as has happened in his own country, areas fall under full brutal sharia law. If sharia appeals so much please feel free to fuck off to one of the many countries in which it already operates.
With an estimated Muslim of population of 3-5%, I doubt very much the conversion of British law to fully implement Shariah. Nigeria is a different case, the Muslims population was over 50%, thus it was easier to uphold shariah.
If sharia law has played any role in the muslim world's collective inability to contribute little to nothing towards Democracy, science, technology, medicine etc.. then it should be soundly buried in the bowel of hell, called mecca and medina.

The hairy Bishop is right just look at the upside of SHaria law guys:
1) Homos get bashed again so we dont have constant mincers all over the tv all the time yapping on about anal foreplay and dressing up
2) Feminists will have to stop pretending to be good at mens work and getting legs up at work though still being illogical and emotional retards
3) Jews get angry and outraged which is usually amusing
4) Beards are cool
5) Public stonings could be entertaining

"uphold sharia" - don't you mean brutally enforce, mo98183?
The Muslim birth rate in Britain is three times that of the rest of the population. Sharia-creep must be opposed.
