get jade hair ornament from chapter 1-1, talk to the bank keeper guy in the nexus repeatedly till he repeats himself, the walk a little back, talk to him again, and he will trade it for a ring of herculean strength.

if you read the lore on the wiki, it says that the arch stone that was destroyed was to a place with Giants and that the king sent a huge army there to try and stop them after the fog showed up.

I think that it would have been the MOST bad ass archstone if it wasnt destroyed:((

who knows, maybe they release an expansion pack or somethign one day. i hope they do.

Imagine: the only remnants of Giants are the Giant Depraved Ones. Think about how hard they are to take down. Now, Depraved Ones are one of the easiest enemies to take down. Now imagine other enemies from the other Archstones, but in Giant form. Imagine Black Phantom Giants. Very scary indeed.

Ehh, i think of it like this, half the bosses in the game are MASSIVE compared to your character, yet with careful rolls and planned strikes, you can take them down. Like for instance...Vanguard, hes huge, but easily taken down if you know how to fight him. Any Giants in my mind seems like it would be the same.

But a world FULL of giants, where mobs of "Giants" would come after you. It's not a world filled with mini-bosses and end-of-stage bosses, but filled with those bosses all around the stage. Scary indeed.

Ide like to think of it as stage 1. How Ostrava always talks about how the level is filled with dragons, and yet, you only see two. Maybe the could co-ordinate something like that, were most of the giant have perished or been defeated but there's still a few around, and maybe the smaller mobs are just knights that the king sent when the fog showed up.

@mattnewb well the makers of demon's souls did make a dlc for the archstone of the giants, but sony, at the last minute, refused to accept the dlc. But with high hopes, it may be in demon's souls 2 (project dark).

i think this game gets too repetitive. your stats start to slow down when you get around 30+. i remember the couple times i went through i was soul grinding, now i just go through the new game like nothing. i start at world 4 after phalanx then, world 2, then world 3 and 4 and then run through world one. most of the time i need no blue phantoms. you just summon them to keep the boss busy like bior of twin fang.

1) Harder enemies and bosses, and some are smarter.

2) You can get all of the boss souls again, so you can forge weapons or get newer spells from them.

You have to finish all stages and then you finish the game.

In this run I finished World 1 all the way, and then went to 2-5.

Just beat the first stage, and then talk to the Black Maiden, and it'll be all good.

And play offline, so no one can invade you.

The end boss really is easy. As in, no armor, no weapons, punching him to death without much worry easy... on the second playthrough.

I wish i could make it this far. That False King is just something else. The guy is freaking amazing, and this is just my first playthrough. I am unsure what or how to go about defeating him. I figured I would take a small break because I was tired of getting served up so I will try again today and see if I can be victorious.

as sad as it is, the trick is to either be very agile (low equip weight) or have a decent light-weight shield, cause you need speed to beat him.. He's a little predictable if u learn his timming and moves, just go watch some other player fight that boss and you'll see. i wouldn't recommend range except for magic, and i wouldn't even use that. protection spells or enchantments are good, and having that second chance miracle buff is always handy. GL to killin that jackass xD

Heheheheheheheeheh. Yeah, I should have considered summoning someone but I watched a lot of Nintendo's vids and figured I could handle it one on one. Of course I was very wrong but eventually I did beat him and well it was not easy but I got it done so I am not complaining.

It's all good. I myself beat all the bosses 1 vs 1 on my first playthrough, and whenever I could get help, I would get it, on the playthroughs afterwards. That is, until I recorded these videos. I wanted them to be just 1 vs 1, WITH online on. Crazaaaayy.
