CIWS rocks. I was a CIWS tech on the USS ponce...unfortunately we had to work with the stupid CTs who thought chaff was so cool... a big metal confetti launcher..and we had this one FC1 named Joe King, who was the biggest asshole Earth has ever known.

Nice video! I was a CIWS tech from 94-97 on the USS LABOON (DDG-58) and man do I miss all the "fun" stuff that we got to do like PAC fires or even better TDU shoots!

There was nothing that would get you going like standing next to the mount as safety watch/observer during the firings!!!

Yeah pretty sure that is MT22 on USS Roosevelt DDG-80 the White raydomes with Grey on the sides gives it away. The yardbirds in Gula fucked it up when the boat was being built.
