I wouldnt fight my dogs either. But it is what created this wonderful breed, without it they wouldnt be what they are today. I do believe that some people have to do it(by the book, not street level amateur shit) to keep the desirable traits and to preserve the breed.
no pittbulls were bred to bait bulls, bears, and other large animals...fighting became popular with them when baiting became illegal. so no, this breed was not created through fighting..today they are still used for other good purposes but as far as being "game" bred, that term comes from the dogs willingness to hunt and drive animals. the word "terrier" is a term they use for several hunting dog breeds such as the JRT, the airedale terrier, bull terrier..just to name a few.
The American Pit Bull Terrier was never used to bait bulls or bears or anything. The APBT is however a decendant of those dogs that came over from england but through selective breeding and dog matching it is aknowledged as a seperate breed from those early bull and terriers. Game bred means it comes from lines of match dogs and wether or not a dogs parents were game tested in the box. Game has nothing to do with hunting when it comes to the APBT.

I agree with you on the dogs being ruined in the show ring. As far as the APBT goes gameness, game bred, game only has to do with fighting. Talk to any of the old timers that are still around(Colby, Sorrells, Garner, etc) who literally are the reason for the breeds existence what game anything means as refering to the APBT. Any APBT with a pedigree can have their dog traced back to dogs with those old timers names in the pedigree.
My dog in this video, Mickey. Is the best thing to ever happen to me(as far as dogs go) he very protective and very loving, EXTREMELY intelligent(I have had Border Collies to compare him too and he is right up there with them). He can sense weird vibes of people and can be human aggressive as well as dog aggressive(i am breaking him of that slowly) but he is just doing his job protecting his daddy and his daddy's stuff. @EnochMcDonald Nope, you can't just grab any pitbull and call it gamebred just because it has high drive kid. The only way a dog can be called "gamebred" is if his or her parents were ch. or gr ch. by which I don't mean in show or conformation, I meant in the pit.

I wouldnt fight my dogs either. But it is what created this wonderful breed, without it they wouldnt be what they are today. I do believe that some people have to do it(by the book, not street level amateur shit) to keep the desirable traits and to preserve the breed.

no pittbulls were bred to bait bulls, bears, and other large animals...fighting became popular with them when baiting became illegal. so no, this breed was not created through fighting..today they are still used for other good purposes but as far as being "game" bred, that term comes from the dogs willingness to hunt and drive animals. the word "terrier" is a term they use for several hunting dog breeds such as the JRT, the airedale terrier, bull terrier..just to name a few.

The American Pit Bull Terrier was never used to bait bulls or bears or anything. The APBT is however a decendant of those dogs that came over from england but through selective breeding and dog matching it is aknowledged as a seperate breed from those early bull and terriers. Game bred means it comes from lines of match dogs and wether or not a dogs parents were game tested in the box. Game has nothing to do with hunting when it comes to the APBT.

Some other terriers are game to. say 20-30 years back it wasent unusuall to see a game english bull terrier but due to show breeding its hard to find one now days maybe in pakistan or russia also some staffs

you will also see other terrier breeders define there dogs as being "game" bred and tested also. dogs were all bred for a purpose, not for looks. every dog on this planet served a purpose and had a job to do and now they are being ruined by the show ring!

I agree with you on the dogs being ruined in the show ring. As far as the APBT goes gameness, game bred, game only has to do with fighting. Talk to any of the old timers that are still around(Colby, Sorrells, Garner, etc) who literally are the reason for the breeds existence what game anything means as refering to the APBT. Any APBT with a pedigree can have their dog traced back to dogs with those old timers names in the pedigree.

My dog in this video, Mickey. Is the best thing to ever happen to me(as far as dogs go) he very protective and very loving, EXTREMELY intelligent(I have had Border Collies to compare him too and he is right up there with them). He can sense weird vibes of people and can be human aggressive as well as dog aggressive(i am breaking him of that slowly) but he is just doing his job protecting his daddy and his daddy's stuff. I love my son!

It says TheMicEntertainer2 profile that he is a breeder and that he lives in the United Kingdom? How the hell can he breed pits it is illegal there? He must not know about The Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. I've had pits all my life and never once did any of them bite a stranger (hell if I got robbed the last thing that any of them would think of is stopping the crook!). I had two that were dog aggresive, but u obviously know that is a different type of aggression. TheMicEntertainer2 knows nothing!
