I am running for Sheriff in Arkansas and I am in agreement that the current policies of the Government and especially the State of Arkansas is not working an a change is needed. I state this in my campaign. We cannot in law enforcement arrest our way out of the drug problem. Arkansas ranks #1 for meth addiction and use and we are in the top 5 states that spends the least on Drug Education and Drug Treatment Programs.

I am running for Sheriff in Arkansas and I am in agreement that the current policies of the Government and especially the State of Arkansas is not working an a change is needed. I state this in my campaign. We cannot in law enforcement arrest our way out of the drug problem. Arkansas ranks #1 for meth addiction and use and we are in the top 5 states that spends the least on Drug Education and Drug Treatment Programs.

The city of Long Beach, California is looking into prosecuting dispensaries and other businesses that provide medical marijuana, City prosecutor Tom Reeves issued an editorial that essentially amounts to kicking in the door with guns blazing. Reeves directly relates dispensaries to "a drug dealer standing on the corner" and disputes the notion of the businesses as caregivers.

First, let me try to explain how California can have medical marijuana when the feds outlaw marijuana (Federal Controlled Substances Act; 21 United States Code 811). The California Compassionate Use Act (CUA) did NOT legalize marijuana. It is STILL a FELONY to grow it or sell it. However, as a sovereign state, California can choose how it will enforce or apply its criminal laws. Under the CUA, patients and caregivers were given immunity for certain marijuana offenses.

Yeah there are studies from the American Cancer Research that suggest it actually shrinks and starves cancer tumors. There are a wealth of studies overseas and from independent scientists also. We are probably sitting on the cure for cancer. Too bad our country is run by mostly retards.

It has been proven and this is the reason among a few others that Cannabis has been illegal for so long; It actually works. Big Pharmaceuticals don't want you to know about something that actually works and doesn't make you sick. Anyone who believes that Chemo is the best thing has not been through it. women bald from chemo is just demoralizing for women. And yet after billions of dollars it's whats used.

I am all for legalization and study of it. I was commenting to jennifer's "marijuana may cause cancer" thats the main reason i used may. I don't think they have any 100% studies that it kills cancer completely, but it is very promising. Keep spreading the good info though.

This is true from what I gather. At least that marijuana increases heart rate. One doctor added that it is inline with someone exercising. Caffeine also increases heart rate as does tobacco and many other drugs.

The studies are very mixed. Other studies say minimal differences were seen between regular marijuana users and non users. Much that comes from our government does not match up with current studies. They forced data to be able to justify Law enforcement targeting hippies that protested Vietnam. Later Regean did similar tactics to justifiy incarcerating a large percentage of the public to offset a decline in manufacturing jobs in the 70's/ 80's. We have the highest incarceration rate.
