  • Take off the brake. While you keep brake, you dont know what is ride a fixie. And be carefull!!!

  • I don't get why theres comments about drops being "gay". First off, gay is NOT a synonym for stupid. Secondly, your opinion isn't needed. Drops have advantages over bullhorns, and vice versa. It's up to the rider.

  • Nice, Same ratio as me .

  • less brakes higher gear ratio. this shit must top out at like 15mph.

  • whats the ratio like?

  • get bullhorns

  • @jrskateordie i have gone through a few sets of handle bars now i cant seem to find a good pair but bull horns are by far the best i am going back to them soon.

  • don't change the handlebars. jjust change the frame.

  • ahaha you have a brake on your bike XD

  • a road bike with track geometry? hmmmmm.

  • you should change the handlebars cuz those are pretty gay

  • @Michaeliscoooll yea its funny to see it like that it was so long ago since ive had drop bars on there.

  • HaHa i just posted a vid of my fixie with the exact same title. my bike is the same color too! strange coincidence.

  • 27" or 600c in the back? I got a 27" on the back of mine, and it just barely clears frame and rear brake mount just like yours. Our bikes are similar in many ways.

  • 700c in the back and yea it is really close it cant clear the dropuouts with air in the tube

  • Haha sick dude. Yeah mine's the same way. Nuts as hell, lol.

  • @lul.... 600c.

  • nice bike but take that brake off!

  • daamn. that rear wheel is really close to the frame :)

  • Nice fixie. I like the color.

  • thanks, man

  • With all the garage sale parts you'd think this kid would have money left over to buy a derailleur. Sad.

  • thank you for your comment however i did find it pretty pointless...

  • If your gonna be such an a.hole then I would like to point out to you that he has fitted a front brake. Why should he have to have a derailleur? I have a fixie for around the city use, a road bike for long rides and a hardtail when I wanna go off road. People can have whatever they like, so don't tell them what they should do!

  • Do you wear girl pants when you ride your fixie like all the other emo fags?

Just trying to be helpful in pointing out that it's nothing but a trend-cycle and girls laugh at emo fixie boys. Ride whatever you want.. just know people are laughing at you for being a hipster copy cat.

  • Nope I don't wear them! Im no ' fixie hipster' im just a person that has bikes! But damn, it is a fad alright.....my friend and I have been building fixies for people at our uni since last january. 87 Bikes so far! And that is excluding holiday periods which amount to around 7 months of that time!

  • pish hes just mad because we can afford multiple bikes so meh let him hate the couple of sentences he has typed will not phase me.

  • did you ever hear of a track bike dumb ass. Fixes are single geared so the don't need a derailleur. You can do amazing tricks on them and the carbon ones go 50 mph, the whole race.

  • yep, I've heard of track bikes. However, fixies today are rarely ridden anywhere near a track - they're ridden because the rider is hopping on to a FAD.

Amazing tricks?? hahah is that the one where girls laugh at you or the one you wear girl pants and spin the handle bars around?

Even though I don't own one, BMX bikes do amazing tricks. Fixies tell everyone that you're gay and don't ride track bikes at a track.

  • so every fixie comes with a pair of skinny jeans. I had no idea. Are you soloing tricks to bmx? Did you ever hear of trials.

All the ladies love my fixie tricks so I'm not sure where your coming from.

  • true dat

  • actualy I think freewheel is gay not track bikes or fixed gear bikes.

  • 44/17 perfect ratio but if i ride HELLA fast u mite max out on it like i did. try 48/17 if u want it'll giv u good speed

  • thanks ill be sure to try that

  • Try to run an even/even ratio; it wears out the chain slower.

  • take the brake off. just a suggestion.

  • normally i would but i am a pansy so ill leave it on...

  • hey man i got everything down, the only thing i dont get is that, do you have to buy a flip flop hub to make the bike go back and forth, or is there another way?

  • the first time i set it up i just had a twlelve tooth psrocket on the actual threads for the free wheel problem with that is hill bombing it comes loose and eventually i just stripped the threads from riding you could probably weld it but the problem with that is the sprocket and the hub are two different metals and i ended up just frying through my hub (it didnt even stay stuck) so the best way would probably be a flip flop hub if you think of a cheaper way id like to hear about it...

  • thanks man

  • I'm building a fixie with the same gear ratio. How do you like it?

  • well the one before this i had a 42 12 and i got used to that one then when i went to this one it seemed too easy but it is a great ratio, i havent had a hill i cant climb yet i would definatly suggest this ratio

  • What kind of comments you have!

I think your bike is good enough for going out wherever you want. Im trying to do the same to my bike, may be it´s hard to get it for other people worried about your security and the kind of bikes you preffer.

  • hey thanks for the copmment yea its a good little bike i have done some work on it and stuff so it looks alot better now than it did, but like all of my bikes its a work in progress

  • You can run a little bmx brake lever up near the handle bar stem, they are pretty cheep and look mo better.

Most of these comments are harsh.

stop harshing on his conversion ^ - ^

  • good idea im thinking of going back to mtb bike handle bars anyway, honestly i dont find the comments on this very harsh, and it was one of my first conversions so its not perfect

  • lol "the occasional red" bulshit you ride a fixed geared bike, i ride a road bike and jump every red for fuck sake lmao you probably been burning red lights up like calories

  • lol i under stood none of that

  • hahahaha. i was just thinking wtf is this guy saying?

  • YOUR LINK popped up when i looked up MR FIXIE and he rides inthe highway and yells at everyone i thouht you were him...look im up hes a dope..it makes me laugh he thinks traffic wont kill him..so you are not him....anyhow enjoy your day.

  • your bike will be spattered by real blood if you continue to drive wrecklessly on the highways with those bikes.....you are a true hindrance to the highways you and all your mates who by the way their asses and yours looks swell....mmmm can i get a kiss?

  • 1) i have personally never riden on a highway and i probably never do so (not enough guts)

2)i run the occasional red but i slow down before procedding so i dont consider myself a hindrence

3)ill just take the ass comment as a compliment so thank you

4)no i dont think i can kiss you, sorry

  • all your bikes should be painted the same yu are ateam right?/....that would be neat dontcha think?

  • lol i would do that but i havent the skill or paint to do so... i like the idea though

  • old 10 speed

  • correct

  • Vary pretty. Mine is blood red.

Do you know what make the frame is?

Mine is an Araya (as in Araya rims) made in Japan. I haven't been able to find much info about it.

  • i believe it is a iro mr.300 (im not too sure i took off the decals a while ago)

  • its worth getting real track drops; and im sorry but you cant have a brake with those grips

  • i agree with the track drops and this is only the first one that ive have made plus i didnt have a massive budget on it, i picked up the frame from my gf's father and personally i like having a brake just incase

    shit happens

  • Like Sheldon Brown said "You go faster with a break" :)

  • hey did you paint it? if so, how?

  • i didnt paint it i stripped off the decals ... if you wat to paint it i believe that powder coating is the only way to go there are easier ways but they will get chipped

  • is that the iro angus frame ? i bought the same thing but a lot smaller

  • no it isnt.

the iros are track bikes. notice the dropouts.

  • Now make it move!!

  • i will as soon as i make some sort of camera mount

  • What kind of bars?

  • to be honest i really couldnt tell ya sorry i dont really know they were just laying around my garage so i decided to use them

  • Am getting a new one soon will show you as soon as i get it.

  • kewl beans

  • Cool bike

  • well thats mine so where is yours?
